Was attending the fortress festival at scarborough spa. The property was located a 20-25 minute walk away from venue. As i was only using it to sleep over, room was decent basic amenities, tea and coffee provided, decent bed, small size tv which was probably appropriate for the room. Shower and toilet was external but assigned to only my room and another room. Also very close to North beach with some brilliant views and not far off from Castle.
Not really much to complain about, if you want a bigger room, then possibly go for something with ensuite. Issue with shower on first morning there but this was sorted by helpful staff. If you want a more centralised location then might be better looking for somewhere closer to the centre, but as i dont mind walking then this is okay for me. Wifi is a bit hit and miss, had to go out of room to get provider/wifi host on phone.

I liked the decor, clean and tidy. In keeping with the seaside town. The place tells a story. The location was ideal right near the castle, peasholme park, shopping and of course the beach! Sash windows were a particular favourite and the cricket field view made interesting watching. Once I found my bearings the holiday was lovely. Host was welcoming and friendly.
Seeing abandoned buildings thereabouts. Unkempt gardens. Homelessness. This had no bearing on the place we stayed at.

Was very near to the beach and park so we didn't need to use the car much.
Needs refurbishment as very dated and old fashioned.

Very convenient for my visit to see the cricket. Bed comfortable and easy to enter the building. Manager helpful. Good shower and room appropriate for my needs.
Nearer toilet and bathroom would be ideal but managed ok. Otherwise accommodation as expected - clean and convenient

To get warm, also the shower doors was fixed by masking tape and the doors wouldn’t shut flush, the toilet system was really nosy, and rooms need updating every time I moved in bed the headboard banged off the wall
