Terrible

The road out

I have never given a property a bad review well nothing like this. I am really sorry to do this but to say the place was bad was an understatement. The room was dirty and squalid. It is the first place where when i arrived i actually looked to book into another hotel if there had been one close by

A potentially lovely property let down by poor standards of cleanliness and comfort.

The property is in a nice secluded location.

The room was pretty grubby with dead leaves on and in the bed, dust on all the surfaces, a grimy bathroom with mouldy sealant, and cobwebs everywhere. The bed was very uncomfortable and we were doubtful that the sheets were actually clean. Hot water was a bit hit and miss. The room was absolutely freezing at night.

Book it

The only 1 I met was Catherine, she is absolutely lovely, she went above and beyond with anything we needed, aswell as our room, we was able to use the sitting room, the conservatory and the garden, if you love horses, you will love it here, it is also dog friendly, and so peaceful, a grocery store and chip shop is only 1 mile away, just came home today after 5 days there, and have booked up another 5 days for Sunday, definitely should give it a try for yourself, and see what I mean, thankyou, and see you soon xx

Very agreeable stay in a very fine house.

We received a friendly welcome to a very fine spacious house in peaceful rural surroundings. Our room and adjoining bathroom were spacious, agreeable and comfortable. The location is excellent, being close to the Broads, several nature reserves and the coast.

I had a lovely beautiful peaceful stay, stunning grounds sucure.cottage I’ll be back when I can.

The grounds to walk my dog in the mornings were stunning and peaceful, thought I was getting a single room in the house and I was given a cottage which I thrilled about because I could cook all my meals and it was the same price. I want to come back next year but it’s fully booked.

The mattress was so soft I came home with a bad back. I was promised a clean half way through which I was surprised about being a cottage but the cleaner didn’t come so I cleaned it myself which I didn’t mind doing.

Beautiful house in gorgeous countryside

Catherine was so friendly and even changed my mattress in the pouring rain!

Just a couple of small things: The door to the bathroom wouldn't stay shut and needs a small bolt. Also there is no shelf so I had to keep my toothbrush on top of the loo. Easily rectified...

We left a day early.

Easy to find. Cute cat.

One bedroom clearly belonged to someone else & was full of stuff (see pictures). Ended up sharing the other room. Cat's litter tray was not cleaned the whole time we were there. Beetles in room. Rooms not close as promised.

Close to the Broads

The location was very convenient for visiting places in the area

There was an unpleasant smell in the entrance hall from the horse feed that was stored there. The bed wasn't very comfortable

Excellent value for money and ignore any negative feedback from others...

Perfect Location and value for money, although there is not a lot within the area its not advertised as such so we were more than happy with the location et al, lovely property and grounds and less than a mile away from the main thoroughfare to a major route.....

The weather but nothing anyone could of done about that !!!

Beautiful location

Beautiful setting . Beautiful house

No where to hang cloths , shower was clogged but I cleaned it, bin was full of old tampax which smelt and was unsightly which I also sorted. But on the whole enjoyed my stay.

Enjoyable stay for two

Value for money, idyllic setting yet close enough to amenities. Lovely, traditional manner house. Nice to see the sand stone paths and shrubs are still in place from when I landscaped the property for the previous owners. Although there was no kitchen facility there was a mini fridge , microwave and kettle in the room. Bedding was clean and rather comfortable.

Wasn't to keen on how the entrance hall is being used as a boot room and feed storage ..rather pungent and not very welcoming aroma every time on entering or leaving the house. There was rather alot of cob webs in the corners and walls of the room .. not that spiders bother me , but they might some .. its more of a first appearance thing .. rooms dont look well kept when there are webs swaying around sorry.

Negative experience

I found the manner of the host unprofessional, abrupt and distressing to witness. My money has been eventually returned after much effort, (I only stayed 2 hours) but when asked for acknowledgement of her negative attitude, I was told that I had my booking ‘completely cancelled and did not stay’, showing, in my view, lack of personal accountability or empathy/self-awareness.

I was disappointed with the exchange of room as was in need of updating but charged at full rate

Host asked me to swap to different accommodation which I was happy to do.

I had stayed at the new accommodation previously and had been very happy. Unfortunately this room was very tatty, the pillowcase cover ripped, the sink blocked, it was quite dirty and furniture needing replacing.
