The room was comfortable and well appointed with coffee and tea makings.
The noise from music was fairly constant until about 10:30 pm at night. Breakfast was uncomfortable if you came alone instead of on a coach. Solo travelers were left to sit for a long while waiting due to short-staffing, and could be shuffled to different tables if they sat at the "wrong" (unmarked) tables reserved for coaches. Cleaning staff did not knock, simply walking into my room (once).

The place is very dated but clean, even around windows. It was my mistake I didn't check before booking that there was no hairdryer. However, the lady at reception managed to find one for me which was absolutely amazing. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of different options. Good water pressure in the bathroom. What I think the greatest asset of this place is is the staff. They are friendly, polite, and will go above and beyond for their guests.
It's also within walking distance from the town centre and has parking.
It could do with a renovation, even small things like to remove the old tv stand or renovate just the bathroom will make a huge difference but despite all that the place is immaculately clean.

I only needed somewhere for a one nights stay, and found the hotel staff , helpful . It is somewhere I would recommend not just for one overnight stay, but very good for longer periods. I will definitely return any time I am in Torquay

Staf was super friendly and helpfull, the hotel had a dated charm
Paper thin walls! I could hear my neighbour snore at night (even with the stoppers in my ears!) and speak on the phone first thing in the morning which means the sleep quality was poor :(

Firstly, I was transferred to their sister hotel Ashley Court Hotel, I DID NOT STAY AT THE BURLINGTON HOTEL. Breakfast was included and it was more than adequate, served by very pleasant staff. I have no complaints about the staff, those that I spoke to were very nice.
ASHLEY COURT HOTEL: Shabby, grubby room, tear in net curtain, only a thin blanket and thin bedspread. I wore a jumper in bed over the top of my PJs! There were bloodstains on the bedspread and a hand mark in blood on the wardrobe door, VERY off putting. I spoke to housekeeping and she brought me a clean (single for double bed) bedspread and cleaned the front of the wardrobe door. The shower was dirty - tiles & grout. The shower door was black along the edge. Bathroom sink was cracked, no hot water in the sink, only cold.

Staff helpful on reception .
Room clean and tidy.
Room basic.. pillows flat. Room very warm.
Bathroom clean and functional. Takes a while for hot water to get through but is then hot.
TV in room. Tea/milk/kettle in room.
Hotel is dated, artex on ceilings and painted anaglypta wallpaper throughout. Dared carpeting but in good condition. Paintwork shabby but clean.
Dining room large and well set out. Breakfast menu has good options and well served.
Breakfast time is only 08.30am till 09.00am. Could increase to 10.00am to allow for lie in if been out late..
Parking outside on hotel property.
Price was adequate for the one night stay included Breakfast.
We were warm, comfortable and clean. Well fed too.

Breakfast time only half an hour..
Would be good if was on till 10.00am.
Only one bedside light working.
Long cobweb across ceiling above TV.

Staff were friendly
So the mattresses were awful, i had springs digging into my back and I tried putting my duvet underneath me and it didn't help. I heard multiple people complain about this during my stay! The floor was very dirty, there were used plasters and medication packets on the floor.
