Apart from the plug, everything was very pleasant and the service and evening meal very good

We didn’t have breakfast

The plug in the wash hand basin didn’t stay down so couldn’t use the basin.

The continental breakfast was lovely , awaiting us outside our room in the morning . Everything and more facility wise and thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the dining room . Exceptional valve for money , thank you

Fine for the price, definitely some issues

The room was spacious and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfy and clean too.

We found an earwig in the room, the shower on/off button fell off just from pressing the button, the parking is very limited and if you miss a spot you have to pay for the bigger car park. The facilities are limited.

Very relaxing

The room was lovely and very large. The bed was comfortable and there was a seating area with a large tv and sofa. The food in the restaurant was good and the place well situated for visiting Matlock and Bakewell.

We arrived late after the check in time . Our fault completely . The manageress went well beyond her responsibilities to drive to us and let us in . We were so grateful . I could not recommend highly enough . She did not need to come to help us .. but she did , which says everything about her and we were incredibly grateful .. thank you so much for going above and beyond xxx

Beautiful,full filling ,clean,ideal place would highly recommend

The room was spacious and very well set out and very clean ,the staff were friendly and helpful We stayed in to eat at night and was beautiful, hot and a good service not waiting long either everything was cooked to our liking

It was comfortable and clean , the meal was not what I ordered , not a true description of what was on the menu and didn’t look edible

Perfect budget accommodation 👍

Location for my purpose was perfect as I was riding Pedal the Peaks. Building looked good with nice parks around it and it had a friendly bar used by locals.

The extension lead handing under the desk was a bit unattractive but I did like the room

The staff wasn't too full on but still friendly, left you to get on.

The public toilet location, unfortunately, unfortunately allows some odour to go into the lower hall, it doesn't disturb you where the rooms are though.

Room very good value but stay blighted by fall in bath.

The room (#2) was big, had a nice 4 poster bed and was quiet and comfortable and quite clean. The price of the room was very good value in these terms. The documented check in was 4pm, but i arrived around 1pm and they let me in which was good.

The shower (its a converted bath) had a slip mat, but it was ineffective. I slipped and smashed my head incredibly hard against the wall and as there were no handle rails or any way to break my fail I also went over and broke my toe. There was no management to be found to communicate this to. I raised the incident to a cleaner who said she would pass this on to management. She seemed sympathetic and I believe she would have done. A week on I haven't heard anything back from the hotel to see if I am ok. I would say the room is good value but if you are not steady on your feet I would be very careful in the shower. I am an athletic middle-aged male and somehow managed to go flying.

Superb

The room was a good size, quiet and comfortable. The staff were very helpful when we arrived late in the evening and even though the restaurant was shut they set us up with plates and cutlery in the bar to eat the Chinese we'd found in Matlock. Location was perfect for visiting Chatsworth and the local area. Matlock is not far and had a great allergy friendly restaurant on the main street.

Lovely room with a four poster bed and all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly. The restaurant serves lovely food at reasonable prices. The place is very clean we will definitely stay again.
