About this apartment rental

Fully self-contained 2 bedroom unit complete with wood burner (wood burner is available from May to September only) and electric heater for those brisk Taupo winters. Peaceful sheltered surroundings, relaxing environment, all you need for a great breakaway from a busy life. There are views of the Waikato River from the bedroom window and a walking/bike track nearby that leads to Spa Park where the adventure begins. Taupo CBD is approx 20min walk and 5min drive. Linen and bedding is provided. There is another unit attached that may be occupied at the same time. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS UNIT MEETS YOUR REQUIREMENTS BEFORE BOOKING. Special conditions: No smoking or vaping on premises. NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to leave the house tidy and clean and do the dishes and take out your rubbish before you leave. Please note that the service fee you pay at checkout is NOT a cleaning fee. This fee is for using the vrbo booking service and insurance policy they provide.

Can't beat the location, the surroundings, the nice tidy space. One minute walk to the river, can jump on a trail that goes all the way to the big park nearby. Or just a few minutes' drive to the city centre. Next time I'm in Taupo I'll be looking to stay here!

Comfortable accommodation in a good location. We walked into town along the river and also out to Huka Falls…both very enjoyable, We appreciated the efficient heating and washing machine…plus the great views.

Riverview is a beautiful place for a holiday, with wonderful hosts and every comfort you could need. Plus an easy walk into town. I will certainly be going back to stay on my next trip to New Zealand.

A lovely, quiet spot by the river. Very clean & tidy, with everything you may need. The location was very peaceful, but still convenient for Taupo town centre. The hosts, Lance & Sandra, were lovely and very helpful. Overall, it was a great stay. Would recommend.

Very helpful and friendly hosts with the elusive Loui cat made our stay a delight. The unit was warm , clean and cosy. Lovely and quiet and the river is a nice touch. Close to the main shopping area. Overall stay 5 star

We stayed three nights, family of four. We had everything we needed. Place was very clean. We had a great stay. The ad refers to it as a Cottage. There are three units all under one roof and the owners live in the end unit. It didn’t detract from our stay or pose any issues it’s just not what I anticipated a Cottage to be. Overall, we had a great stay.

Property and hosts were great ! be aware that there are two 'attached' properties offered by this host. One has lovely view of the ravine, river and cliffs, directly from the outside deck, and one, which we stayed in, has a view not quite like the advertised view - it has private, greenery view, but not a direct view of the ravine, river and cliffs, without going outside to the backyard. Still, a lovely, quiet fully equipped location. Note, no AC in the unit we stayed in, but hosts provided plenty of fans to circulate air and in February, that was sufficient for very comfortable stay.

Property was even better than the pictures. It was clean, tidy and had everything that you would need for a stay. Lance and Sandy were very helpful, and very quick to answer any queries. This is a great place to stay with a family. Close to walking tracks around the river, which is beautiful. Has good amenities, spacious, is warm, clean and comfy. Plenty of seating to eat and relax. We stayed in July, so we thoroughly enjoyed the fire place. There is a great heater for quick warmth as well. Comfy beds! We enjoyed the extra things available, such as, firewood topped up for us, a good hairdryer, clothes horse, tea and coffee, netflix and dvds to play. There's a selection of kids books and some games. It was perfect for us. Thanks Lance and Sandy for having us. :-)
