like a proper old fashioned building .
seemed ok upon arrival but once you said hello that was it they checked us in and that was it . room was what you expected for the price but it could of been cleaned that bit more . it’s those last little details that need to be done . like the skirting boards and cobwebs .

The room was tiny and full of dust mites plus a damp smell, very noisy up till 9pm because of the gym the stairs were very dangerous to walk up and down no foot space terrible shower hardly no water pressure end of the day picture we’re lies it didn’t warrant 60 a night really upset about my stay had to leave the next morning instead of 2 night we had booked not a nice place to stay

The evening meal was very good, and good value
Not open until 5pm, couldn't get lunch. The room was small and cold, with poor heating, and the window had been left open.

The historic place and location.
Mr John Wesley used to stay here and they allowed us to stay in the room where he used to stay when he came to Epworth.

Rooms were dirty and the door didn’t lock properly, bathroom dirty and left with about 6 squares of toilet roll. Mirrors placed so high on the wall you have to be 7ft to get ready and no plug sockets near any of them.

Great location, staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was great, all in all it was an enjoyable visit All the nooks and crannies gave it a proper olde worlde feel.. The breakfast kept me going all day which was another big plus.
Room was looking a bit dated, just in need of a little tlc,

Great location. Great pub. Nice staff.
It's a tough one, but the place wasnt silly expensive but for that we at least expected the basics to be right.
Our room was a family room that was in an annexe just a short walk from the pub.
Initial impressions were that it was an old shop or office that had been converted.
Upon entering the room it was freezing. So much so that we had to keep our coats on whilst it warmed up and I couldn't shower before going out.
The kettle wasn't by a socket so had to be moved to boil it. The TV had no signal but had Netflix. The radiator covers were hanging off the walls. The radiator in the corridor area didn't work at all and an oil filled radiator was in its place. Trouble was you had to move the wardrobe to turn on this supplementary radiator, which was no mean feat. The bedside lamp was so dim that it made no difference when switched on. No heater in the bathroom and the sink was that small you had to rest your head on the cabinet to clean your teeth over the sink. The shower had no instructions so I ended up covering myself and the floor in cold water when I attempted to use it.
Not enough milk for more than one cuppa and the random fridge on the landing with a half full orange juice and milk was a bit off putting. Our spare single room off the main bedroom was full of cleaning equipment and couldn't have been used if we had wanted to, plus the landing had a screen that hid more cleaning equipment just dumped up there. The icing on the cake was the suspended office ceiling that reinforced my views that the place was a converted office building. Only three of the four ceiling bulbs worked and the mirror on the wall was so high up my partner couldn't see into it to do her make up and she's five feet four.
Apart from that the place was fine

close to the venue we were going to
the property is very dated, the decor needs to be done. the room was very cold on arrival, there was no hairdryer in our room. the room was poorly lit only one bedside light which gave off a very low watt light.
