房间设施都比较新,远离城镇,夜晚没有光污染,是看极光的好地方,免费停车
不能直接停到小屋门口,需要搬行李走一点路。

The cottage was ideally suited to our stay, parking right outside, warm and cosy, beautiful views and well equipped. We had plenty of room and the big windows bring in the lovely morning light.
I can’t think of anything to be fair!
4.6
It is beautiful. It was out away from everything and had everything we needed.

Le calme et la literie!!!

Spotless clean, comfortable bed, a nice hot shower and great for exploring the country. We based ourselves there to visit Landmanlaugar and Hekla.

What an amazing location. If you want to see the countryside of Iceland this is the place. The cabins are set in amongst the mountains and volcanoes of the south. The views are breathtaking.
Inside we were warm and comfortable even when there were strong and cold winds blowing outside.
The northern lights didn’t put in an appearance for us, however, if they had the view would have been perfect!

The cottage is very beautiful and big, but we had some issues with our specific cottage, (the nr. 1).
About cottage nr. 1:
1. Floor was dirty on our arrival
2. warm water lasted just 10-15 minutes of shower and it wasnt even hot, we had to clean the dishes with very cold water
3. you have to drive around 10km on unpaved roads to arrive to the cottage (we didn't see this mentioned on the booking description )
4. the door was very difficult to lock and last night we slept with the door unlocked as it wasn't working at all
5. walls and floor were very cold and we had a hard time trying to sleep as the wind was very loud inside the cottage
6. the windows were with the view on south and east so we couldn't see the northern lights from inside the cottage and we had to stay outside in the wind and cold to be able to see them
7. the tv remote was not working, maybe batteries died but as the sunset was early during this period we weren't able to chill watching the tv
8. the road to the parking near the cottage was hard to drive as in the middle of the road there was a very big opening in the street (probably from a previous earthquake)
Also to mention that after our stay and feedback to the owner they cancelled our booking as "didn't show up"...
Edit:
As we saw the reply and this is not a retaliatory review as we didn't have any reason to do it, we can't upload videos on the review to show you the door not locking etc but we're adding a photo of the road just to show the condition as you're denying it, and we forgot to mention that the plates in the kitchen were also dirty on our arrival.

We had a lovely stay here. Although remote, it was conveniently located for Landmannalaugar, Hella and the surrounding area. You need a 4x4 to access via gravel roads, but then that is what makes the place so special (gravel roads were well maintained when compared to the highlands - photo in review). Photos do not accurately represent the cottages... They are much nicer in person!

Lovely cabins in a great location
No’s 1 - 3 don’t have as good a view if that’s important to you

Everything!!! Loved it!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely nothing!!

Great cottage. Very pretty waterfall just behind the cottage must visit!
Absolutely nothing.

No outside chairs. Only 2 hangers. Nowhere to put cloths.

We have stayed in Afternoon Cottages before and I chose to return in preference to a similar place that was nearby as we knew how good these cottages are. They are spacious and well-appointed and set in glorious surroundings. This is a very peaceful and beautiful place to stay.
I really cannot find anything that we didn't like. I suppose if you want shops/restaurants close by it may not suit some people as the nearest places are half an hour away but to be honest we didn't find it a problem.

Its set in a very remote area off the road away from light and noise. It would be perfect to see northern light at winter.
The road leading to the property is under modification and must have lasted around 8-10 km so need to drive slowly.

The property is great for seeing the northern lights but that is about it. It is at least 2 1/2 hours away from any actual city, and twice had to just stay at the house because snow on the rural road out to the cabin was too bad. Main roads were always fine, but having to drive 30 minutes on unpaved roads was impossible in snowy conditions.
the location was hard to travel to and from

Nicely located cottage.

cleanliness and the whole place is just what we needed
none

stunning location, sunrise was beautiful to watch from the balcony. Kitchen well equipped and television had Netflix. Being so remote meant we could see 100’s of stars and very quiet and peaceful.
Would have liked more than 1 pillow each and a couple of cushions. Handwash and shower gel in industrial looking bottles. The drive to the cottage was a bit bumpy along a long track (but worth it for the remote location!)

perfect as always! :)

kitchen had everything we needed, lovely bathroom, cozy bed, killer views! we got to see the northern lights both nights! internet and tv worked well also.
a bit of a drive on a dirt road.
4.6
its a cosy cottage, very basic but has everything you need. self check-on was convenient cause we arrived late
its kind of in the middle of no-where, and pretty far from the main road, its actually a gravel road to get to driving around 15km away from the main road.
Also, we tried taking showers, the hot water ran out quickly, we waiting for another 20 minutes just to get an additional 5 mins of hot water.

Super cute cabins that were very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the kitchen and the self check in.
