This hotel was exceptionally clean, and the bathroom especially was spotless. This was a huge relief and miles above most bathrooms I've encountered during almost 15 years traveling around Mexico. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water--which also aren't guaranteed in Mexico.
The location is just a couple of blocks from the Zocalo, and the building is very pretty inside. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and I appreciated that the staff let me into the room a couple of hours early. I didn't interact with the staff much, but all my interactions were positive.
Generally speaking, I would recommend this hotel and consider staying here again.
The room was rather small and the wifi was so slow it was unusable (the wifi in the café area was much better). I didn't love that breakfast was an additional charge.
I would have expected a bit more for the price point, but overall, I'll happily pay extra for a clean room any day.

The manager and the location are great.
No wifi in my suite. Had to sit in the lobby or at the terrace. The hotel basically locks down after 3pm. Everything is locked. You won’t see anyone except the receptionist, if she is around. If she isn’t, you can’t even enter the hotel. You’ll hardly ever see guests except for breakfast. It’s like a ghost place. Also, the rooms are well maintained but very dark and if you want at least some light, everyone could watch you in bed. Also the pool wasn’t really clean. Wouldn’t go in.

Nice building and location.
Tiny rooms and old tiny bathrooms. Very nice place, but definitely not a good value.

Ongezellige kamer met weinig faciliteiten
Niet wat je verwacht voor een zgn sterren hotel!

I love the location and the hotel itself is beautiful. It’s walking distance to everywhere
The rooms are okay. Not too luxurious and the bathroom was small. The toiletries were basic

I loved the pool area! It is beautiful and a great asset. There should be staff up there to hand out towels and order drinks and snacks. It would make it more inviting.
I also loved Jazz coffee and breakfast. Sooo good! Front desk and breakfast staff good but could be more attentive. Christian at jazz coffee was excellent 👌
The rooms were very nice too! Could use better lighting tho.
The floor in my room was dirty and I had to ask for it to be mopped. It was still dirty after they cleaned it. No hairdryer in the room either and I had to ask

it was very close to centre.
although the hotel was rated 5* apart from location it was probably only 3/4*. staff were lovely and helpful but the room lacked the following 4/5* facilities:
no fridge
no coffee/tee facilities
no ironing facilities
shower facilities were basic
pool area was lovely but under used and no bar facilities.
However, the staff were great, the location amazing and the gardens lovely. More like pension than hotel.

Well located and staff very helpful. We organised tours and had laundry cleaned via reception which was great.
the rooms were small; dark; dated and just didn’t feel clean. the pool area was run down with just some beds looking abandoned. No facilities after 3pm downstairs and nothing at pool.

Excellent location, nice rooftop pool, charming internal courtyard, large rooms, gracious staff, nice breakfast and lunch restaurant on site, free water bottle daily and large water cooler for free refills, laundry service for very reasonable price.. I would strongly recommend to friends and family.
Really nothing. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Perfect accommodation to experience Oaxaca! Central location, but it feels so calm inside. The pool on the roof was a bonus, as was the gym. Very helpful staff who were genuinely incredible helping us with flights to the south coast.
The cafe was a little slow, but still really good when it turned up.

lovely property, great location, great restaurant
the rooms felt a little damp from not having natural light, whilst very clean, the duvet felt slightly damp to touch.

Oaxaca is a relatively expensive city compared to many in Mexico. Many Mexican Nationals and others from around the world visit here. This hotel offers good value- If you want a quiet oasis right in the middle of Centro- this is it. No, it’s not the Ritz - but it works- and it works well. Staff is exceptionally helpful. Walk out the door and it’s two blocks to the square.
This is an historic property so the rooms are adequate but not large by modern standards. The A/C is quiet and a real rarity here but the operable windows are a bit small. Must step up to bathroom- bath fans could be quieter.

We had a lovely room and Adriana the manager had a table moved for us so we could work on the patio outside our door. Since it was a working vacation for us, we came and went often but there was always a coffee or water or whatever we needed. Breakfast was always good- I love the kitchens salsa. Plus the view from the pool terrace of the mountains and churches and the music from the Zocalo-- all good. And there is history everywhere in this hotel.
