Quiet Oasis in Chicago

Located on a quiet residential street. Beautiful grounds. Comfortable bed. Roomier than expected. Walking distance to a beach.

Location was further from Logan Square, where my daughter lives, than expected.

Great studio apartment to be a base camp for city exploring.

Room was extremely comfortable. Kitchette was fully stocked with appliances and tableware. There was even a tea kettle to heat water for the included tea bags. Location felt very safe and being surrounded by other brownstone buildings you hardly ever heard the sounds of the city around you even with the window open. Communication with the hosts was great. Nice little hole-in-the-wall café just around the corner well within walking distance. Likewise there is a dollar general in walking distance if you are like me and forget to bring toothpaste when you pack.

Parking available on the street or in a little parking lot around the corner. Place also has a garage you can rent. However if you have a larger vehicle it will not fit in the garage and the street is narrow enough to make me concerned about side swipes, for reference I drive a new Bronco. So if you drive anything larger that a Ford Edge or Chevy Traverse I do not think you will be able to use the garage. Maybe something the size of an Explorer or 4runner will fit but it would be tight. The parking lot worked fine for me but apparently the parking lot is for facility employees of some type during the week and according to a guy I talked to while I was parking they are agressive about towing non-employee cars away.

The location is great and it has a very nice and clean bathroom.

The kitchen had very little cutlery, only one knife for example.

Cozy Cottage

Super quiet neighborhood. Central heating, the trees in the patio. Beautiful cottage, very comfortable bed. Well stocked. Old building with modern amenities. Near the Metro station.

Great place to stay for a great price.

I love this place! It is like staying in a secret garden while still being in the city. Close to the beach. Close to Edgewater Tacos and Andersonville. Quiet. Excellent hosts. The place was cute and comfortable and we were able to do laundry.

I have nothing bad to say. Everything met and exceeded my expectations. If you want to stay in Edgewater, you can't beat this place for the price, location, and kindness of the owners.

Cozy!!

Magnolia Studios exceeded my expectations. The location was superb, and was perfect for a few days in town. Parking was never a problem. The studio itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Kitchen was adequately stocked with everything you may need for cooking a simple meal, and making a fresh cup of coffee with the Kuerig. As long as you read all instructions it's very simple to find the entrance. As an owner of my own vacation rental I would highly recommend Magnolia Studios.

Perfect Place!

The property was very clean and nicely decorated. My wife and I arrived earlier than check-in and we were allowed to leave out bags and other personal items in the entry to the cottage. Kate was super friendly and we had a chance to speak with her and learn more about the property her. We know where to stay on our next trip!

The lights to the neighbors porch was on all night an shined in the window. The bed was a queen and was comfortable, but a King would be been better. This maybe due to the narrow entry way to the studio.

Seriously stay here!

Super cute. Loved the garden. Could hear the crickets chirp from my room. Made this old country mouse feel right at home in the big city. Neighborhood was beautiful. Everyone we met was friendly. Would be where I would stay if I ever get the chance to go back to Chicago. A bucket list trip for sure. P.S. It looks just like the pictures on the Booking website.

This is the one!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. During this Pandemic we haven't been excited about traveling. This property was all we hoped for and more. Our studio was very quiet, clean and comfortable. My favorite part was the shower and those thick fluffy white towels. Our host was exceptional and provided great care. Ill stay here again and again!

Delightful!

We love the location and we love the cleanliness of the suite. There are nice little touches throughout, such as tea, coffee, and water provided, plenty of fresh towels, and even a protected garage space for an extra, very reasonable fee per night! Also, it is extremely easy to come and go as we please. Thank you!

I have stayed here before and both times I thought to myself, "I'd definitely stay here again!" I can't really say anything negative about this place.
