A lovely stay in this beautiful cottage

We had a lovely time at this thatched property. Georgina the host was very helpful with our queries.
Two things I would improve is the pressure in the hot water for the shower. It is like a trickle and I have very thick hair. It also smelt a bit damp in the bedrooms which were situated downstairs I presume because they are below ground level.
We loved the sitting room and the wonderful sofa and the veranda was a delight.

The lodge was fantastic for all of us ,large secure garden for dogs and bridle path alongside so no worries about traffic.property clean and comfortable and swimming pool was great clean and warm.Hoping to book for next year.

Property was all we needed for our stay with the added bonus of the heated outside pool which we used every morning!
The location is amazing, the village is beautiful, the church and the village hall, perfect for a dog walk!
We did a mixture of eating in and out, the kitchen was well equipped and the added treats that were left were very much appreciated! Thanks for having us xx

Great property, great value.

Great property and communication with the owner.
3 out of the 4 of us are gluten-free and they had left some gluten-free snacks, which was so lovely.
The property was exactly as described but a better experience than expected as there were so many nice touches that a lot of properties have used covid as an excuse not to provide - books, games and puzzles, cooking oil, tea and coffee, little jam pots, dishwasher tablets etc.
Fantastic views from the living room and very peaceful.
Would recommend😊

We booked for a wedding elsewhere looking for a place to chill and explore with enough for two youngsters to enjoy

Cannot speak too highly of this cottage. Beautiful inside and out. The lounge is enormous! The standard of the fittings are first rate and the garden is huge. In a beautiful peaceful location. Georgia the host is helpful and considerate. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay here and despite the persistent rain all week managed to get some lovely countyside walks and visit some local attractions. We enjoyed the outdoor games (badminton and table tennis) that were provided and looked through some of the books and games in the living room.
The living room is huge and the sofa has been updated since the photos were taken and is now one massive corner shaped sofa with plenty of room for all 5 of us
The kitchen was well stocked with nearly everything we needed including an electric whisk and weighing scales (but no potato masher) and the view from the kitchen window across the owners garden were lovely, especially in the morning sun through the mist.
The bedrooms were nicely laid out (although i found the scent of the washing powder quite overwhelming) and the beds were reasonably comfortable.
The single bedroom sadly had a very mouldy corner which has been covered over with wood with a hatch on the top. Unfortunately my daughter opened this and the smell was terrible. I could also still smell it when it was shut so we all ended up sleeping in the twin room.
The heating didnt seem to of been set properly and we couldnt work out how to change it. It came on in the middle of the night and roasted us all in bed, but we couldn't get it to turn off nor could we put it on in the evening when it was getting a bit chilly.
Overall it was a lovely holiday

Comfortable, well equipped with many thoughtful and welcome touches. Totally peaceful, great location, very close to all the best that Suffolk can offer.
We found the maps and local guides provided really useful. Pub recommendations were spot on, try the Ufford Crown if you can. This property was great for three adults on a short break, but would also suit a family with young children. Lots to do right on the doorstep! Recommended and we hope to return for a longer stay.

We rented Lodge cottage with friends for a week over Easter 2023, being 5 adults, 1 teen and 2 dogs. The cottage was as described and in a lovely peaceful location, with a large enclosed garden ideal for young children and dogs. The lounge was stunning with views to all sides, everything was clean and the kitchen extremely well equipped, there were also lots of indoor/outdoor games and books etc.
The owner Georgia gave extensive info prior to our visit and said hello during our stay to make sure everything was OK. Would definitely recommend Lodge Cottage as an idyllic base for exploring the area.

A lovely property with plenty of outdoor fun provided. Great to be able to take our dog and be straight on a bridle way to enjoy a walk. Easy access to a park without even going on the road. Lots of wildlife! We have had a fantastic time.

Super cottage in lovely area. Heated pool fantastic. Whole family loved it!

Fell short of expectations
The cottage is set in a good location within a large garden which was perfect for our four legged friends.
The cottage itself needs some refurbishment, main bed a small 4'6" double. Kitchen equipment OK but much had to be washed before using, mugs badly stained etc. Veranda and patio covered in debris. Steps into cottage and down to bedrooms steep and would not be suitable for elderly guests or young children. Tv challenging to use! Unlike other cottages we have used there was no nice welcome necessities I.e milk , bread ...
On a positive note lovely large lounge and great garden. We didn't use the pool but looked good.

Relaxing stay
We visited Suffolk for a week and totally enjoyed staying in the lodge. The property was clean and tidy and Georgia left some lovely treats for our arrival. Great location for visiting the surrounding area! Beds are comfortable, and the lounge in particular is a lovely room to chill out in, during the evening. Fabulous sunny garden and a lovely walk runs down the side of the property. Ideal for our cockapoo. Very comfortable stay and would highly recommend

Delightful and unusual cottage.
The cottage was a surprise from the start and we really enjoyed its quirkyness - bedrooms downstairs from the lounge/ diner and kitchen. It was spacious in the living area. The only comment was there wasn't a lot of space in the single room for clothes, but we shared happily.

Family catch up
Communication prior to arrival was excellent. Georgia was available for any questions we had during the stay. The house is amazing & the dogs loved the gardens. The location was perfect for us to catch up with relatives. We are already looking at booking again for next year.

Fabulous location
Very spacious and comfy living room and extensive outdoor space. The pool was wonderful. Walks from the door and so much to see and do in the local area. We visited with my grown up daughter and elderly mother. It worked well, though the third bedroom is really quite small. Thanks for great communication and instructions!
