room was lovely and clean and staff are lovely and very friendly
found the shower cubicle a little small

Only food we ate there was breakfast, which was excellent
Rather expensive accommodation, however as good value for money as elsewhere in the area
4.3
Comfortable room great food and good value for money

About our 4th wonderful stay here and as usual, it was perfect.
The weather and having to leave.
4.3
Lovely location, great staff and lovely food

It was a privilege to stay in such a charming place. Full of beams and history, set amid cornfields at edge of quiet village. Hearty food, good beer.
4.3
Dinner was lovely and good value for money, very nice setting and garden, quaint period features.
Funny smell in the room and the remote needed cleaning, breakfast was a bit disorganised but the food was ok.
4.3
The breakfast was very good. The staff were very accommodating and gave us everything we requested. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
As the bathroom is so small it would have been good to have a shelf to put a sponge bag with the necessary items one takes with you. Balancing it on the top of the toilet cistern was a bit precarious.
4.3
the remoteness and the quirkiness
nothing

This place is lovely. Tucked in a picturesque little village. Easy access to local towns and attractions.
The staff couldn't do enough. The rooms were large, clean and fully equipped. Will be going back 100%
Nothing they aced it

the situation and the staff
all well

Lovely comfortable warm rooms. Meals excellent. Breakfast superb.
Could do with more beers on tap in the bar, but that does not reflect on the accommodation
4.3
Being away from hassle and bustle, remote countryside idealistic for de stressing

The place is very tired. There were numerous issues. There is no WiFi in the rooms if you need to use it you have to go into the main building and then it's patchy. Typical of attitude by the manager, requested for a bulb to be changed in room after checking in "I'll do it now" still hadn't been changed when we left!
The bed was like a piece of plywood and the pillows not much better.
So bad reduced stay from 3 to 2 nights.
It's a mystery how this place has such a good rating.

The staff are so friendly and helpful.
Paul and his lovely wife Rung, Polly and Julie all made our stay really enjoyable.
The food was delicious and all homecooked inc Pollys cheesecake.
You could eat and drink at The Inn and not have to worry about driving.
The accommodation is v quiet and in the old stable block nrbye. The rooms are lovely and have stunning views of the sky and surrounding countryside.

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was a basic pub B&B, but really good attention to the important details, clean linen, clean room, excellent food. Car parking was good. Location a little off the beaten track, but this made it a quiet getaway and food was more than good enough to keep us there in the evening.
WiFi was only workable in one area of the bar, but we took advantage to avoid emails and social media for a few days.

It’s a very nice hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff.

Staff were very polite, friendly, professional.
It was quite remote.

The room were very clean, in fact cleaned every day. There was tea coffee put in the room every day and lots of milk which was a big plus as normally you only get a couple of milks. Views were stunning. The garden both the pub and private area for the rooms was absolutely gorgeous. The owner and his wife and all the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. The breakfast was delicious as was the evening meal, hats off to the chief. Highly recommend

The hotel is in a picturesque place called Bardwell with nothing much to do around it so if you want peace and quiet, this is the place. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Nice garden/seating area to sit out in.
Nothing to not like.

It was all very nice, and the hosts were friendly. I particularly liked the Thai curry which was very authentic.
The breakfast was a bit lacking but I guess it was due to the lockdown having been eased and the usual buffet was not yet available
