I was staying for a Running Show at the very nearby BAWA Leisure centre so it was very convenient, I could see the BAWA centre from my window! Also handy for Tesco Express, Dominos Pizza etc.. Parking in front of property was very useful. It's not a "boutique" place but has all you need.
Facilities were fine, although I had to sit on the toilet at an awkward angle as it was rather squashed into the ensuite.

Ideal location for me. Room was good plus the use of a dining area with fridge, microwave and crockery was a pleasant bonus!

Miguel was very welcoming and helpful. Everything was explained well and he was very respectful. I would recommend The Elms to anyone staying in Bristol.
Forgot to let Miguel know the bulb on the light above the bed wasn't working but it wasn't really a big problem at all. Think that's the nearest I can get to a negative comment. Everything else suited me lovely.

Breakfadt Not offered ????
Hot water took 5 mins
Reason given absence of guests on weekend so little demand and throughput of waterflow resulting in lot of dormant cold water in system.
Pump needed.
Only single central ceiling plain bulb on cord.
Bedroom walls too simply plain paint decorated.
Needed minimal wall decoration - prints, photos, etc at minimal cost.
Thats all however

Miguel the host was absolutely amazing, super lovely, very kind and helpful;
We only stayed for a night and had everything we needed: car park, bikes safe storage, hot shower, kettle etc. and great location!
would definitely return!
Thank you very much :)

Really nice guest house with cute antique furniture. Miguel was really friendly and helpful pointing out some useful information. It was easy to find and parking was no trouble.
There was nothing I didn't like. The mattress was really firm which I'm not used to but for some would be perfect.

The facilities including parking, connectivity to the city centre and the view of the garden from the room were amazing. Comfy bed and being provided with a fan in this summer heat was a blessing.

Heating was broken in are room and bye the time we had got back to are room it’s was early hours of the morning so didn’t call host until following morning who apologised and advised for future stays to call regardless of time.

My wife and I arrived within our 9-10 pm timeslot and, despite repeated door knocks, 'phoning two numbers and ringing the bell, we had no response and could not gain entry. Eventually, another returning guest let us in but no-one was around indoors. After a while, we let ourselves into an unused room and spent the night there.
A lady (landlady?) who we saw next morning said she was somewhere where she could not hear the doorbell and that one of the 'phones was "on silent" - which is not helpful! A similar message later came from the landlord. Our request for a refund was not granted.
