We are a large family of 15, (10 adults and 5 children). We stayed in the property for 2 weeks from 27th July - 10th August. We had a wonderful time but there was some drawbacks.
So, starting with the positives:
The house was gorgeous, with a lovely decor, masses of space and a modern feel to it. There were 15 of us and we didn’t trip over each other at all.
The location was perfect for us. It felt rural with beautiful views but the shops were only minutes away, providing everything we could possibly need. There’s a Lidl at the end of the road and a huge Gante Casino, just round the corner.
The pool was lovely and refreshing and there was plenty for the children to do with swings, table football and lots of hide and seek places around the garden! The owner, Veronique is very approachable and understanding. Some plates were accidentally broken during our stay and she couldn’t have been nicer about it.
So, the drawbacks:
The owner and her family actually live in this house, so almost every cupboard is full of their clothes, socks and undies(!) etc. We had to clear a lot of their things away to give us more room.
Although there are 8 bedrooms, 3 of the doubles are actually bunk beds (which a little strange for the 2 couples who had to sleep in them!).
There were 2 rooms without air conditioning which was a shame as it got really hot while we were there. (Veronique did supply additional fans for us).
We were asked to feed her cat and terrapins daily. Luckily, we all love cats so it was fine.
We could only book on a 2-week minimum.
Overall, we did have a wonderful holiday and I would return - now having a much clearer expectation of what’s in-store.
