The pictures tell the story. It is an amazingly beautiful property with a gorgeous view. We've stayed there before and had only one concern then and the same one this time. Ants in the kitchen and bathroom.

This was one of the best vacation rentals I've ever had. The house is beautiful and very well appointed. There are a lot of things that demonstrate consideration for guests, such as sharp knives and good pots and pans for cooking. There are dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body soap dispensers in the shower/bath. The deck and view are lovely, and the house is roomy and quite comfortable. The beds and pillows in both bedrooms are very comfortable. I will be back!

Great location to access all the wonders of Point Reyes. The house has gorgeous views and lots of amenities. We were very comfortable and content.

This hillside home overlooking Tomales Bay was the best experience of countless overnights visiting Point Reyes. Location was perfect with easy access to Pt Reyes Station, Olema, key sites within the national seashore, and an easy walk to the Inverness Store and the Saltwater Oyster Depot. The home was a great layout for me and my girlfriend, with one bedroom and bath on the main level, and a cozy bedroom on the lower level with 1/2 bath (vanity cabinet with sink plus enclosed toilet). An on-demand heater on both levels quickly warmed the house on cool mornings. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace on 2 of our 3 nights (Inverness Store carries wood). The open, well lighted kitchen was very well equipped for “real” cooking, and we enjoyed steaks on the user-friendly gas grill on the deck. The neighborhood was nice for walking and admiring handsome 100+ year old homes. Communication with manager Laurie was easy and helpful. She texted promptly when we briefly lost power one evening, directing us to the 5-6 battery-operated lanterns. We enjoyed dinners at The Station House Cafe & Due West, plus tasty lunches at Side Street Kitchen and Tony’s Seafood. Our mid April stay was perfect for hiking, viewing wildflowers and elephant seals in the Chimney Rock area, and wildlife in various locations (bobcat, coyotes, Tule elk). I hope to return to this unique, well located, maintained and comfortable house.

This house is nestled in an oak tree. It's quiet and beautiful. Can't wait to return.

Very rustic property with great view. Very quiet and peaceful. A good deal of cobwebs and we had ants visit (we saw other guests had this same issue). We put out dog food for our pet and if he didn’t eat right away, we’d have to put it away. Property does need updates to keep its charm. It’s worth a stay if you can get it for a good price, we didn’t.

We met here with our son (active duty military) and his daughter, almost 8 and son, 5. We had a very nice time exploring the vicinity. Our grandson loved finding all the paths around the house and all the doors. Happily they were all locked!

This is a very cozy house with a beautiful view overlooking Tomales Bay. The kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Inverness and felt comfortable, safe and well-supported at this stay. The house is well-appointed, having everything you really need for an extended weekend stay (we stayed for 5 nights). The house is also quite comfortable and offers great views of the bay. The only (minor) issues were the following: We checked in at night and none of the outside lights were on making it a bit precarious for my partner's parents (ages 76 and 80) to navigate the up and down steps from the driveway to the front door. Additionally, the entry way garden lights never worked, making it a bit difficult every time we departed / arrived after dusk. Additionally, we were never able to figure out how to work the dehumidifier in the downstairs room, which smelled a bit moldy from all the dampness. Instructions on how to work these would be helpful (apologies in advance if they were available and we simply did not see them).

Really nice house for 4 adults and a baby. We had a great time despite the rain.

In this house you wake up a in a tree bower, with a view of the water beyond. It is a lovely relaxing stay.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay. The home is very nice and the view is unbeatable!

After 45 years of vacationing at Point Reyes National Seashore, lodging mostly in Inverness, we have landed in our current favorite spot for a second stay this year. The themes of this beautiful home are comfort, warmth, spaciousness, and welcoming with endless windows for the lovely bay view through lush grand trees. Almost like a Berkeley transplant in a small village, cared for by family over the years, it feels like a home. Equally suitable for 2 or a family or group, it offers the quiet of a retreat or great spaces for a lively gathering. Provisions lack for nothing, as another theme might be abundance, whether household provisions or entertainment. Music, games, books, smart TV, good lighting, decent beds, soft sheets, spacious main bath, all very clean. With an old fashioned lock box there are no digital glitches involved at check in. Good communication with host. What more could you want? A baby grand piano in the great room overlooking the bay would be a dream come true. Maybe some day. Until then, we'll be content with this hillside dream.

Comfortable. Tidy enough. Great view. Quite a walk to town so not as goods convenient as I need. Road noise was unexpected. Great parking. Overpriced due to road noise.

The house is nothing fancy, but it is incredibly comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Best kitchen supplies we've ever seen in a VRBO rental. Unbelievable view of Tomales Bay from the deck. There were three of us, and a golden retriever, and it was a perfect 5 days. Will probably come back soon, as it's just 1 hr by car from where we live in SF.

This is such a lovely home and property, in the perfect location in Pt. Reyes. Comfortable, stunning view, lovely cute kitchen. Warm wood style, the best of Pt. Reyes. Perched up on the hill above Tomales Bay, looking out at the water. A favorite spot.
We were here for 3 days, meeting Bay Area friends we hadn’t seen in 2 years. Great location for drives to Limantour beach, Hearts Desire Beach,
Nicks for seafood. lovely view for just sitting, having meals and chatting. I’d spend a month if I could.
Check in was easy. They communicated really quickly with me for my pre trip questions. Very easy.
Hope you be back. P.s. The bed in the main bedroom is provable the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on.

Beautiful home with deck overlooking Tomales Bay. Amazing tree in back. Quiet neighborhood. Food store five minutes away. Must see Pt. Reyes Lighthouse, visit abandoned ranch property.

Nice view of the bay and the kitchen is well stocked. But ants were everywhere- kitchen cupboard, living room couch and downstairs bedroom! Internet connection was poor which made getting rained in less than enjoyable

This house is beautiful, rustic, clean and comfortable. It has a beautiful tree outside large windows overlooking Tomales Bay. The house is easy to manage, easy to access and well stocked. You can walk down to a couple of restaurants and the water for a closer view. It's a beautiful location and a peaceful setting.

Our team of three were wanting a weekend of work, self-care, and rest. We were able to have some amazing meals, work and popcorn and a film at night. We went hiking and to the beach daily - We were blessed with rain the whole weekend too. Lovely.

Love this cabin. Everything is perfect. Thank you so much..

Well-located in Inverness, this is perhaps the best-equipped vacation property we’ve rented. Cozy and rustic but nicely appointed with instructions galore and excellent communication. Dog (1) friendly, with solid TV and wifi. Highly recommended.

exactly as pictured
We stayed for 2 nights and the house was very comfortable and exactly as pictured - except the stained glass window in the living was more beautiful than shown. I wasn't sure how well-equipped the kitchen would be, but they had everything we could want. I didn't even use any of it - but it was there. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels, blankets, first aid kit, supplies in the bathroom.
There is a downstairs bedroom and toilet, but we never used it. We also didn't get to take full-benefit of the living room deck because the weather was cold and windy, and I didn't last for long even tho the chairs and table outside were good.
I would have appreciated a power strip in the bedroom because we had 2 phones, laptop, hearing-aid charger, etc., and I was scrambling for plugs. There were 2 electric blankets plugged-in when we arrived, so I used those outlets. The electrical set-up in the house was an adventure because switches weren't placed where one might expect. for instance, there is a motion sensor light on the front porch, but the switch to actually activate it is on the side of a bookshelf in an adjoining room. There's a ceiling light over a big chair that I never figured out.
It was clear the owners tried to be as welcoming and considerate as possible. We traveled with our dog, the determining factor in renting this place. The house was very clean.

We fully enjoyed our stay. Gorgeous view through a stunning old grandfather tree to the bay. A perfect place to celebrate a big birthday.

My spouse & I stayed 2 nights at this lovely home in Inverness. Both decks have chairs for relaxing & taking in the beautiful Tomales Bay view. The top deck is equipped with table/chairs for outdoor eating. Both bedrooms are comfortable, with the lower bedroom overlooking the bay and hillside. We brought our dogs, & took long walks on the beach. The house is stocked with essentials. Grocery stores are close by. We enjoyed our time there and would easily come again!

This was a great house, very well equipped, for our friends cooking weekend - 4 days of making new meals and recipes, including with local ingredients. It was cozy and lovely.
