About this cottage rental
Bantam Cottage is a cosy, cute, 120 year old, pet friendly cottage and is the ideal house to make your home for a few days. The cafes, restaurants and wonderful shops of Berry are only a leisurely two minute stroll around the corner so just park and have a day or two car free.
The heart of the cottage is the sitting room which has a beautiful open fire, laid and just ready to light in winter. It is a cozy place to laze in front of with candles, a bottle of red wine or to toast marshmallows with the kids.
There are beautiful polished timber floors throughout scattered with rugs for warmth. The kitchen has an oven, stove, microwave, all the utensils needed, and a range of basic pantry items are supplied.
The two bedrooms have queen beds which are made up with fresh linen and bedding and have electric blankets. Soft fluffy towels are also supplied.
The bathroom has an easily accessible shower but no bath.
The front verandah looks out over the town to the hills behind and is a lovely place to watch the world go by while at the rear of the house is a large deck overlooking farmland and a quiet rural scene. This catches the morning sun and is a peaceful place to enjoy a morning tea or coffee.
Pets are welcome in the house and the back yard is fully fenced and secure with large shade trees.
Directly across the road is The Hungry Monkey with its delicious food and coffee
The wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants are only around the corner and 2 minutes walk away.
PET FRIENDLY
A perfect family getaway - pets are welcome too.
Bring your furry best friend on holiday with you and stay in our homely cottage. With our easy to clean timber floors pets are welcome in the house to be a part of the family, sitting in front of the open fire or begging for a treat at the dining table. The back yard is a securely fenced, dog safe area set with large trees and lawn for playing ball games.
Berry is a dog friendly town so you can take your pet to many cafes so he isn't left home alone. There is an off leash area close to the house and many lovely streets to go for walks while admiring the houses and gardens. There is a great off leash area for dogs only 10 minutes away on the beach at Shoalhaven Heads where your dog can run to its hearts content.

We loved this property and the little touches that made it special. A stone's throw from Queen St and its wonderful selection of boutique stores and restaurants, it was a lovely, comfortable base with tons of character. Beautifully decorated with a real fire for cozy evenings in, it was as charming as we hoped.

Cute and cosy cottage. Tasteful decor. With colder weather a hall door would be nice to trap the open fire’s warmth.

The property is a gorgeous old cottage that's been modernised where it matters. Everything was super clean and well kept with fresh flowers to top it off. We had a lovely weekend there, thank you.

Lovely little cottage. Very clean and tidy. Short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Would definitely do a return visit.
4.8
A lovely little cottage beautifully restored and clean and comfy. The listing mentions two bathrooms but there is only one bathroom. While the cottage is convenient and within walking distance to cafes and shops it is a little noisy with traffic at times. Only once did we have to park our car about 200 mtrs down the road the rest of the time we scored a park out the front of the house. Lovely gardens with loads of ambience inside and out.
4.8
Comfortable place to stay, packed with gorgeous features and felt like home.
4.8
Great cottage, loved our stay here. It felt like a home and the host went the extra mile with milk, chocolates and flowers! Great for dogs, good grassed backyard. Berry is a great place to visit. Would definitely come back to this cottage.

Walking in through the front door, it was like stepping back in time and down memory lane. The quality fittings, the thoughtful touches, the decor, lovely well appointed kitchen, comfy beds, beautiful wooden floors, luxurious bathroom, and more, too much to mention! This quaint little house made you feel at home instantly and exceeded all expectations. We brought our two little doggies who also loved exploring the back yard and running along the footpath. I think this was the nicest place I've ever stayed in and we will definitely be back for another stay. Thank you Janet, you did good.

We loved the cottage and the fact you can walk to restaurants , shops and cafes, we didn’t move the car once we arrived it stayed out front of the cottage until we left !
Cosy, clean and if you have a pet , perfect backyard with a Mandarin tree full of fruit.
Highly recommend this over 100yrs old cottage
4.8
A cozy old cottage, complete with open fireplace, rich wooden floors, high ceilings and lots of character. A short walk to the Main Street, so leave your car parked for the entire weekend, unless you want to take your pooch for a run on Seven Mile Beach….which was just 8km away. Don’t forget to turn into the Berry Treat Factory and enjoy the best milkshake ever from the Dairy Bar too! And don’t miss the Donut Van….6 donuts per person is just not enough!!!
Berry is a quaint little village, perfect for a weekend away to recharge!

We were cosy and comfortable on our winter break in Berry. Little touches like enough firewood for our three nights there were really appreciated. Popping around the corner to the bakery or a nice cafe couldn't have been easier.
4.8
We were in Berry for the Openfield Arts Festival and Bantam Cottage was perfect for us. Very comfortable and close to the town centre and the festival venues. We could walk everywhere and then head back to our haven
4.8
Second stay, and just as cosy. Walking distance to everything.
4.8
Lovely cottage in a great location, just off the main street which was very convenient but nice and quiet. The cottage furnishings and linen were lovely. Many thoughtful touches, fresh flowers, throw rugs, chocolates. Great cafe for breakfast or lunch right across the road. Communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommend this property.
4.8
We loved staying at Bantam Cottage with our seven-year-old son and our dog. The big garden was ideal for running around in, the cottage itself is comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the location couldn’t be better – a minute’s walk to the action but wonderfully quiet. We can’t wait to return.
4.8
Love the property. Older building, so a little cool at times. Enjoyed open fire! Main attractions just around the corner.
