Very happy with our stay. Owner is very accommodating and easy to contact if needed. We did not have any issues and enjoyed our boat for the week which we tied up to their dock. We also were very fortunate they allowed us to also use their kayaks and paddleboards which we did take advantage of quite a bit! Fantastic location!

If you need a quick getaway without actually being away- this is the spot for you. The house is immaculate; spacious enough for a couple of adults and four teenagers but at the same time feels ‘homey’. Our host, Jill, thought of everything…local attractions and restaurants are listed. There are bikes and lake ‘toys’. We will be back soon.

If you are looking for a perfect house for a family and friends getaway at the lake, this is it! Amazing home with lots of extras to keep you entertained both indoors and outside! The dock is great, with access to many water toys and lifejackets. Look no further for your next lake getaway!

The location and property is amazing and perfect to watch the sunset. the grounds are 1 acre and the fire pit and boat house are excellent. Enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and nice to have life vests available too. Inside, cleanliness was ok, seemed a bit neglected, maybe we were first guests in a bit? Kitchen well stocked, but hard to find items (some spatulas were in the downstairs laundry room?). Overall, enough space for all 7 adults and 1 teen to hang out or find alone time. We had a lovely experience.

Out stay was nice. The property has great access to the lake. It also has many paddle boards and kayaks. My family enjoyed our stay.

Our family of kids and adults loved everything about this house -- gorgeous views and sunsets, cool waterfront breezes, very nice dock with large shaded sections, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, tons of space and lots of fun amenities like boating, swimming, air hockey and video games. We especially appreciated the large collection of boats, paddles and life preservers that came with the house. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful propery with the best sunset view on the lake!
This house is in great condition, clean and stocked with everything you could need. We took full advantage of the kayaks, paddleboards, firepit and boat house. We also rented a jetski from a nearby marina, as the house location is in a great spot for playing on the water all day.
The lot is huge and offers great privacy and shade for morning coffee on the deck.
Overall, a wonderful experience from the owner interactions to all of the amenities this house has to offer. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house. Great location near Littleton, perfect sunset views! Lots of games and activities around the house. The owners were great to work with and very flexible.

Beautiful house on a large plot on a wide strip of the lake. The sunsets were absolutely stunning through the large windows in the kitchen. And the kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I've ever seen in a rental property -- it has absolutely everything needed to cook up a storm. The house has a big basement with loads of toys and entertainment for kids. Great communication with owner and lots of care taken with the house and with us during our stay. Absolutely loved our stay.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. The view of the lake is amazing and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboard‘s. The house was well equipped with everything we could have needed and even things that we forgot. Jill was very quick to respond and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Great house and location! House was exactly as advertised, and had everything we needed. Water toys, fire pit and great amenities. Jill was wonderful with timely and thorough communications, too! Would absolutely stay again given the opportunity!

The house and property were perfect! The house had everything we needed. There were 14 of us that stayed at the house and we never felt cramped. The primary bedroom was big enough to have an air mattress in the sitting area. There was plenty of fire wood for the fire pit. There were floats and paddle boards for us to use. I’d recommend bringing more floats though. The only issue we had was that one of the queen beds was a sleep number and it was set to the firmest setting and we couldn’t change it.
The host was also great at communicating. I’d definitely stay here again!

My friends and I stay at Jill’s home for 4 days, 3 nights. First off 4 days, 3 nights is just now enough time. Jill’s home is the true definition of paradise. Her home itself is beautiful and very spacious, their yard is very big which was great for yard games, their dock can fit many people (we were a group of 6), and the location could not be more ideal! Jill was such a great host and went above and beyond for us. I cannot think Jill enough for allowing us the opportunity to stay at such an amazing home. If the opportunity ever presents itself I will absolutely be rebooking!

This property is pretty much exactly as written in listing and pictures. Our family enjoyed our long weekend here very much. The firepit was a big hit as well as the dock and lake access. We got one great sunset (our weather wasn't great). The kichen was equipped with most anything you need. The house suited our family perfectly.

This property was amazing! The host was more than helpful with answering questions and making arrangements for our group to stay. The views are incredible, the pictures don't do them justice! I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy Gaston. House was extremely clean, huge yard to play in, and the boat dock was perfect for housing our boats during our stay.

Jill was very easy communicate with and very responsive. We had a wonderful week and the best property on the lake for the sunsets. Jill recommended Stonehouse Timber Lodge for a pontoon rental and they were awesome to deal with and very reasonable in cost and easy and close to get too. Basement bed (in girls room) was not comfortable according to our teens but otherwise the accommodations were as expected from pictures. We enjoyed the kayaks and fire pit which was stocked with plenty of wood. Beautiful house.

PERFECTION!
From the time of our initial booking all the way through to our last day at the rental house, Jill was so helpful and easy to communicate with! It was the first time having ever rented a vacation property that I felt like I knew exactly what to expect upon arrival. The secluded cul-de-sac location was so nice and quiet, and allowed for safe walking/biking. The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 10 (four adults and six 15 year old boys). With 2 ensuite masters upstairs and the "kids area" downstairs, everyone was comfortable and happy! The house is a bit older, but has been nicely updated, beautifully furnished, and came stocked with everything that we needed - and then some! The water temp was quite chilly (55 degrees) during our mid-April visit, but it didn't stop the boys from swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The enormous walk-in shower in the downstairs kids bathroom came in quite handy for the group of boys to warm up at the same time after swimming! Water shoes that can be secured tightly on the feet and a pair of tweezers are a MUST! Some of the boys cut their feet while swimming, and a few had splinters from the dock - nothing serious though! As mentioned in the listing description, the water off the dock is shallow - so definitely no diving, but the boys were able to cannonball and run/jump in without any issues. In most areas, the water came up to the boys chests (approx 4 feet). The nearly level/partially shaded yard was so accommodating for the boys to play paddleball, KanJam frisbee, touch football, etc. It was so satisfying to see the boys willingly choose to play outside, rather than to hibernate inside staring at their cell phones! The views are SPECTACULAR - especially the sunset! My husband and I argreed that the only thing missing from the property was a hammock (or two)! We were all so sad to leave on our last day, but Jill was kind enough to allow us a little extra time to check-out - which we greatly appreciated! Overall, this rental is a hidden gem on Lake Gaston!

Great spot for the family
My family had a great time this past week. Jill was very helpful getting us checked in and running us through the house with a friendly call. The house and view was great. We spent a day on the dock, went kayaking with the equipment that was provided on site. We rented a boat at the local marina and spent another day out on the lake.
We grilled dinner and enjoyed the fire pit at night as well. The house was very comfortable we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great View of the Lake
We had a great time sharing this space with our extended family. It was spacious enough for all 11 of us (7 adults, 4 kids) to spread out. The view from the deck was gorgeous and we enjoyed the off-season solitude of the lake.

Great Family Bonding Trip
The views were spectacular! Even though it was very cold we still all found things to do. We brought a boat to go fishing, used the supplied Kayaks to explore, played volleyball games & so much more. Jill was very helpful and super quick to respond if we had any questions. The house was an interesting lay out but it worked for the most part. The extra fridge in the garage was a bonus for sure. There is definitely plenty of seating inside and out and the bedrooms were spacious. I would recommend bringing bottled water to drink instead of the tap water. My family enjoyed themselves and we look forward to a return trip :)

Beautiful and Well Appointed
All-around amazing property. Home is well-appointed with all the necessities, games for all ages, and very comfortable beds. The home design is perfect for two families - two master bedrooms and two separate rooms on the lower level that can sleep children or guests. Lots of space to spread out indoors and out. The view from the deck is only bested by the view from the dock! Jill was hyper responsive to all of my questions leading up to, during, and after our stay. Very nice, and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property and Lake Gaston as a destination.

Lake Life
We had a great time, the house was perfect for our family. The kayaks and paddleboards were a big hit. The fire pit was a great way to relax after cooking a wonderful meal in the well equipped kitchen.
I missed that the grill was charcoal but luckily the market was nearby.
All in all it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay with lots of time on the lake.

Lake House Tradition!
We love this house. It is fully stocked with everything you need from a crock pot to life vests if you need it Jill provides it. She is fantastic to correspond with and replies right away. This will be our 4th year and counting celebrating Labor Day at her property. Highly recommend it…just not for Labor Day 😉

Relaxing spot for family fun
This was our second trip to Jill's beautiful home, and we enjoyed our time every bit as much as our first visit. The home is spacious, clean, and well appointed. The location and surrounding neighborhoods are great, and the waterfront is wonderful. It's a short trip to enjoy destinations via the main lake, including a variety of island and plenty of quiet coves. There is ample space for safe swimming right off the dock, good fishing in the area, a great yard and fire pit area, and terrific views of the gorgeous sunsets. A fantastic spot!

Perfect Family Vacation
We had such a wonderful stay and didn't want to leave the beautiful sunsets each night. The Lawson's were very attentive in answering any questions with our booking & stay. I give this vacation rental a top score. We will be staying again in the near future.
The house was wonderfully laid out, the paddle boards & kyacks were awesome. My 72 year old mother loved catching fish off the dock. Reminded her of old times with her dad.
The fire pit & endless sunsets were amazing. Thank you for such a beautiful house to call home for a week. We will be back!!
