Very good organization of arrival by Bruno. We could enter our rooms prior to opening. Also, we could safely store our bicycles. Enjoyed our stay!

A handsome building, set back off the street. Nice room with an excellent bathroom.
There are the remains of a Roman amphitheatre at the rear of the hotel, which were sadly closed to the public for our visit. Really good breakfast.
The reception and restaurant were shut, but it was a Sunday. Access by code, but it worked fine.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff and service exceptional the windows in our room were so clean I bumped my nose on them when looking across the street! The staff went out of their way to help and to make us feel at home and the food was second to none.
When we first arrived there was only one set of towels but this was soon remedied by speaking to the people cleaning the rooms.

Clean, good bed, nice sheets. A little bit of mix up when serving food, but the food was good.
The room was at the latest floor, and half of the sealing was at an angle, meaning that in one side of the bed, it was impossible to stand. 8€ brrakfast, kinda expensive for the small variety of food available.

There is nothing i liked about this place.
Staff wasn't very friendly. Asked to leave the motorbike in the front of the hotel, where was lots of space and it was evening already, but unfortunately I've been told by receptionist "my boss wont like it". I tried to be very friendly and try to explain the situation that it wont be on the way but receptionist responded with strict - NO.
The rooms are outdated, bathrooms screaming for updates - waited for hot water for 5mins, sound isolation - doesn't exist (u can hear your neighbours from beside rooms and above).
Sleep was awful because weird shape of the pillow and it was the only pillow in the room.
I know you get these clients sometimes when everything is wrong for them, but i am not the one.
The hotel needs a refurb urgently. I write reviews very rare, but i thought this might help others, especially bikers.

Very convenient. Helpful, friendly staff. Large room with high ceilings.
The bathroom is tired. There is no window nor extractor fan. The room was on the cool side as the radiator is fairly small. In fairness we were there in unseasonably cold times.

The location was good for us on our way back to the Eurotunnel
The receptionist started to check us in and then took a phone call for 10 minutes whilst we stood their waiting. Poor customer service.
The twin room we had was an odd shape and one of the beds stuck out into the entrance to the bathroom making it dangerous to go into the bathroom without banging your leg on it. Avoid a twin room if you stay here. Our friends had a double room which was much nicer and roomy.
