This newly renovated three-bedroom and two-bath house on Ledgelawn Avenue features a happy backyard, plenty of sleeping area, and a small office where an internationally best-selling novel was written. Really.

There's a grill outside on the deck, a second oven, a big gravel driveway and it's all in incredibly close proximity to Great Meadow Loop (for a hike), the Park Loop Road and in-town Bar Harbor. Lilacs bloom. Birds sing. And it's an incredibly happy place to enjoy Bar Harbor.

We loved the proximity to both the park (walking and driving) and town. Also right around the corner from a playground that was top notch! Huge playing fields right around the corner as well. Safe, pleasant neighborhood with sidewalk all the way to town. Easy walk for our group of seven. We loved it here. Thank you!

Stating that there was A/C was misleading. There were window units in only 2 of the 3 bedrooms and no where else. The window units were extremely loud making it difficult to sleep. The house and yard were a bit rundown and the inside could have been cleaner.

Plenty of room for our family of 6! Kitchen was great for preparing breakfasts and dinners. Accommodations were just as pictured. Couldn’t have asked for a better location to walk into Bar Harbor (get dinner, drinks, ice cream!!), ride a bus into Acadia, or drive to the beaches a bit further away. Shaun was very friendly and accommodating.

Family memories of Acadia go back to camping there in late 1950's and many times since so this was a great location to revisit those days. We were very comfortable in this home and especially appreciated the cleanliness as well as the little extras supplied like dishwasher detergent, paper products, laundry detergent. Host responded quickly to questions and requests. The location in Bar Harbor and next to Acadia couldn't have been better.

Our family had a great time at this home. It was close to trails at Acadia National Park and walking distance to the town. We never had to worry about parking which was wonderful after the fireworks display. We climbed mountains to see breathtaking views, walked trails, took a whale watching expedition… so many things to do. Our family made memories that will never be forgotten. I highly recommend this home.

The instant we walked into this beautiful home, every member of my family said it felt like we were home! Best compliment ever. Shaun and Carrie have created a perfect home for a vacation in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It is set up exactly as they advertise and is even better than the pictures online. Every question we had and a couple of small items we needed during our stay were brought over to us as soon as they could reasonably get to us. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space in and outdoors. The covered porch was perfect for evening relaxation but the best on rainy mornings. Fully stocked kitchen that felt like a real kitchen and not a bunch of kitchen leftovers from a yard sale. Fridge and washer/dryer new and plenty of space. Plenty of towels and accommodates for 8 people as advertised. I would highly recommend this home and the excellent homeowners made our stay a great family vacation memory!

The house worked great for our family! It was a short walk to get to downtown Bar Harbor and an easy drive to the hiking we wanted to do at Acadia National Park. There was a nice playground just around the corner, too. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location, close to Acadia park w its many amenities and walking distance to cute Bar Harbor for shops and eateries. Parking was so helpful and place was well-stocked! This house was perfect for a hiking trip for 7 ladies. The pictures don’t do the house justice. It is gorgeous and spacious and clean. The location to everything was perfect- 30 minute or less drive to most local attractions and easy to walk into town.

Great house with plenty of room for a family of five. Quick communication from the owner. No street noise and a park with multiage play equipment about a block from the property. It was an easy quick walk to downtown where there was a good variety of shops and restaurants. There was a large grocery store at the edge of the downtown area and the kitchen had what we needed to make meals. It was a short drive to the Acadia park entrances. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of four (two in 70s and two in 40s) had a wonderful time. The location was most convenient with a short walk to Bar Harbor downtown and quick drive to the park. It only took 12 min to drive to Cadillac Mountain road entrance! The house was clean and very comfortable to stay in. Would definitely recommend it for families.

Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful seaside town of Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. This house was the perfect location - just a couple of blocks to walk to main street with all the shops & restaurants and pickups to the park. The house was clean, roomy and just as described. We enjoyed having a washer/dryer so we didn't have to bring home dirty laundry nor pack as much stuff. The backyard was nice to sit & read and relax from all the walking! Great hosts were responsive and offered up lots of tips/tricks for the area and getting into the NP. We rented Ebikes one day and had a blast, went into the park a couple of days - it was stunning. So many great restaurants - we loved Geddys, the Royal Indian, Blaze, Side Porch, and Rosalie's had great Pizza! Highly recommend this house for a wonderful stay in Bar Harbor.

This vacation was planned for 2020 and got canceled. Finally was able to get 3 generations together for trip. This was perfect place for Acadia and Bar Harbor. Great easy walk to town for shopping, eating, and other things. Gkids loved going to park for kickball and frisbee. House had everything we needed.

Book now! This is a lovely, welcoming home in a perfect Bar Harbor location. Shaun & Carrie are excellent, easy to work with hosts. Spotlessly clean & very comfortable house. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the morning and marshmallows around the fire pit in the evening. Between the coffee and the marshmallows, you can easily access anything you might want to do on Mt. Desert Island. Every corner of Bar Harbor is an easy walk from the house. (If you are new to this area, the ability to walk is a godsend. Parking in town during the high season is next to impossible.) You can even walk (easily!) to some of Acadia’s trails from this house. The trails that can’t be reached on foot can easily be reached via car. It’s really a special feature of this home that it gives you both such convenient Bar Harbor access and such convenient park access. The home is well stocked with a variety of items. From coffee filters to laundry detergent to an abundance of clean, fluffy towels and a homemade pie to greet you, Shaun and Carrie go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and warmly welcomed. We would gladly stay here again. Thanks, Shaun & Carrie, for a wonderful week!

This property was perfect for our family visit to Acadia. My wife and two college aged sons were delighted by this comfortable,3 bedroom, 2 bath in-town Bar Harbor home. We enjoyed walking to lunch, dinner, the library, the bike rental shop and shopping in downtown Bar Harbor. We liked the gas grill which was easy to use. We enjoyed a fire in the back yard firepit. And of course, Acadia National Park is close by. I was able to enjoy two early morning bike rides on Acadia's Loop Road. Our family really enjoyed biking on the carriage roads

Had a great short stay that was peaceful and leisurely. Walks to town and Eden farmers' market. No crowds as we were there just before the start of the season, but still had access to all of Acadia Park and lobster pound meal. And the weather suited us perfectly. Great stay. We walked a couple of blocks to the town. Comfortable and personal touches. Lot of travel folders and books galore. Don't miss the shortcut to the park. At the south end of the street, turn right and you're there in a few minutes.

Our family had a great stay. We were greeted with a homemade blueberry pie to start our vacation. The home was clean and had all the basics. The outside had a beautiful patio and we enjoyed family around the fire pit in the evenings. The house is walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor- so thankful we didn’t have to deal with traffic and parking! Home is right outside Acadia National Park which we visited daily. Perfect home for a visit to Bar Harbor. We had one question while we were there and host answered phone immediately! Thank you

The property was well maintained and located on a quiet residential street. It was a short walk to shops, restaurants, the grocery store, and just around the corner to the farmers market. We were able to easily bike from the house to the carriage roads as well as up Cadillac Mountain. Hiking trails were accessible about two blocks from the house so we could do some trail running without having to get in the car. When we used the car, it was a short ride to any point in the park. We did some rock climbing at Otter Cliffs and a couple of hikes with dramatic views. The kitchen was well stocked so we chose to make large dinners there almost every night so that we could have more family time as well as avoid the crowded restaurants. All in all, it turned out to be the perfect place for my wife and I to get together with our adult daughters. Would definitely recommend this rental for anyone wanting to enjoy Bar Harbor and explore Acadia.
