No detail has been overlooked in this newly renovated, professionally decorated home. From beautiful bedding and whimsical décor to a fully stocked kitchen ensures that your vacation on Lake Hartwell is memorable and carefree.

This 3 bed/2 bath house makes this home an excellent choice for couples and even growing families. With the master bedroom on one side of the house and the other two bedrooms separated by the living room, dining room and kitchen, makes the Bannister Cottage an excellent choices for families. Enjoy the gas fireplace located in the living room on the cooler nights, or spend the evenings grilling, dining and unwinding on the back screened in porch. Fabulous views of Lake Hartwell, as well being nestled in a quiet and private cove away from boat traffic and waves adds to the wonderful setting that The Bannister Cottage offers delight in days on the covered dock while the kiddos swim & play or take a relaxing boat ride. Deep water dock with 12 feet of depth at end of dock.

Don't have your own boat or jet skis? Don't worry, you can rent them locally for you to enjoy on the lake. It's location (exit 14 off of I-85) allows for a 15 minute drive to Memorial Stadium, which makes The Bannister Cottage the perfect choice for Clemson fans, alike. My wife and three adult children stayed at the property for four nights. The place was spotless! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. It was nice to have basic things, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, on site. Sixteen local relatives aged 7 through 80 showed up for dinner on the second day. The dining area, kitchen, and porch easily accomodated all of us. It also was nice to have stairs going down to the boat dock - many houses on the lake do not have stairs. The drive into Anderson and Clemson took about 15-20 minutes.

Perfect place to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation! Wonderfully decorated, equipped with everything you could possibly need and full of spaces for gathering ! Host went above and beyond including returning an item I left behind. Would love to stay again!

We were happy to have such a beautiful and functional house for our stay at Lake Hartwell . It was spacious and comfortable and was fully equipped with everything needed! The screened porch was our favorite with a view of the lake and many birds singing in the trees.

The Bannister Cottage was a great getaway for our family coming into town to visit our Clemson freshman. The Cottage has a great view, looking down and out onto the peaceful lake. The cottage is just as the photos represent. The interior is light, cozy and clutter free. The kitchen is well stocked. Great dining options, as there is a 4 top kitchen dinette, a 6 top(or more) dining table and seating outside on a screened in porch. The cottage was down to the dust boards clean! I was very happy! The bedrooms are perfect with nice bedding and comfy mattresses. The master shower is spa like. We were very comfortable at the cottage for our weekend Clemson visit! (Clemson about 15-20min away)

Aside from the molded coffee left in the coffee maker and the food under the couch cushions the rest of the house was perfect for the occassion. Upon arrival, texts with pics were sent to owners with no response.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during thanksgiving at this beautifully updated home. The owners did a great job at remodeling this property (we flip houses and have seen a lot of bad & good jobs). 7 of us slept at the house and my brother and his wife joined us for thanksgiving dinner- ample dining space for all of us! Every pot and pan or utensil you might need was available. We cooked thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed the lake. Definitely will return again. Owners were very quick to respond before our trip, and everything was so easy and renter friendly, we never had to contact the owner at all during our stay. Can’t wait to stay again! Thank you so much!

My friends and I came up for homecoming at Clemson and decided to stay on Lake Hartwell. This was the absolute perfect place for us! The house was beautiful and perfectly clean and ready for our arrival. We loved hanging out on the dock and sitting out on the patio in the evenings. The hosts made sure our check in process was as easy as possible and had the house completely stocked with whatever you might need. If you find yourself looking for the perfect getaway on Lake Hartwell, I highly recommend this property!

This property is the cutest little cottage, tastefully decorated with everything you need, in house. Location is perfect for fishing tournaments at Greenpond Landing and event center. You can dock the boat and it's just a short ride by water so no waiting in line for the boat ramp. It's located in a quiet neighborhood. We felt very safe. The screened in back porch was our favorite spot in the early mornings watching the sunrise. The house was very clean and comfortable. The large dining table gave ample seating for us to have other anglers over for dinner. Having the washer and dryer helped us keep all of the stinky fishing clothes washed up and ready for the next day. IYKYK. We highly recommend this property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, perfectly organized house on Lake Hartwell. We cooked many meals there and had everything we needed -- and more. We ate all of our meals out on that beautiful screen porch overlooking the lake watching birds and taking in the gorgeous view. A family of Carolina wren was nesting just outside the porch and fledged while we were there! This house is truly a little piece of paradise <3

Beautiful, clean home on Lake Hartwell with dock. The inside of this home was meticulously clean with beautiful furnishings. We loved the dock and kayaks. The home's layout is great for a family. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood where the kids could ride their bikes around. I would add are some board games as it was rainy one of the days we stayed and I also would tidy up the yard a bit. But overall GREAT stay!

We had an AmAZinG stay at this property. The pictures simply do not do this property justice. It has clean sleek lines, modern and a great flow. Everything needed for the kitchen etc are present even somethings not even thought about. Definately glad we rented a boat from Mark;s for our stay so the house just smoothly transitioned to thewater. Great view and quiet neighborhood. Would definaelty stay again.

This was our 2nd time staying at Bannister Cottage. We bring our boat and love that it is so close to Portman Marina. House is well stocked and in a great location to explore the area. Neighbors are quiet and the kids enjoyed the visiting cats and ducks.

My only complaint is that I couldn't spend more time enjoying this beautiful home. I stayed at this property while moving my daughter into her home at Clemson. After a long day I returned to this retreat and relaxed on the screened porch watching the ripples of the water on the lake and listening to the sound of nature. It was so peaceful. The home had all I needed to be comfortable and the beds were so cozy. Most importantly it was very clean. I look forward to returning and taking advantage of all the amenities available.

I rented this place because we were dropping our daughter off at her first year at Clemson University. The place was very cute. The master bed was a little too hard for my liking but perfect for my husband. It’s furnished with everything you might need for a nice get a way. It was nestled on lake Hartwell and had a fantastic view. I wish we had more time to spend at the actual house. We were really busy. Downton Anderson was precious. Thankfully the house was close enough to anything you might need and eats! Loved it! Will be back!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. This was our 1st time staying in the Anderson area and it's now our favorite area on Hartwell. We ate most meals at the house and it has everything that you need. On Wednesday, we rented a boat at Big Water and drove it back to the dock. We then took a trip up to Clemson and then all the way back to the dam. The kids loved it! I highly recommend this property and commend Alise and Robert.

Home was perfect for our family vacation! Pictures accurately show home except it is much more spacious in person. Location is also very nice as it is literally right off the highway so you are able to get to stores and restaurants very easily. Lake access was also great and dock allows for swimming and fishing directly off it. We will definitely rent here again if we come back to Lake Hartwell!

If I could give them a 10 I would!!! We have been using VRBO for at least 10 years and this was the best, most amazing trip we have ever had. The owners are quick with communication and easy to deal with. They have thought of EVERYTHING!! From where to eat in town to a well stock home!! The beds are comfortable, the view is wonderful, and the home is absolutely stunning decorated. I am not sure which view is more beautiful, the home or the lake. If you want a relaxing house this is the place for you!! I just can’t say enough about how beautiful the home is. We will stay again!
