About this cabin rental
Experience what “Lake Life” means in the truest fashion by staying in a real log home right on Beaver Lake. I am not a Property Manager. I own this gorgeous property so you can rest assure that the utmost attention is paid to cleanliness, details, and customer service. I will be like your personal Concierge. Nestled in the trees, this 3-level, 2 bedroom + 2-bed loft, PLUS a large, open downstairs that boasts a hideaway Queen-size "Murphy bed" will give you the room you need – and want – to best enjoy a treasured family vacation no matter what time of the year you come. Fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible, the kitchen is fully stocked with all of the cookware, serve ware and dishes you would need to feed your crew. Make yourself a morning cup of coffee with the Keurig or regular coffee maker and go relax on the deck as Nature wakes up. Griddle and waffle maker ensure a variety of potential breakfast foods! All of the beds are super comfy with memory foam toppers and luxurious bedding. And if you're a pillow snob like me, you'll be thrilled with all of the great pillows you can choose from!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Army Corp of Engineers rules, the dock is unfortunately NOT included in the rental. Their rules dictate that only dock owners boats are allowed in the slips. But, we know that you came here for the gorgeous Lake and you can still enjoy it! The shoreline is very walkable down a few easy stone steps from the back porch where you can get into the water in our beautiful protected cove.. Or if you want to experience the Lake by water, consider renting a boat from one of the three marinas that rent boats (info is given to you in your Welcome Packet). You don't need beach towels - we have those for you! But don't forget to bring your fishing poles and try your luck with all of the catfish, trout, perch, or crappie. Or choose one of the local outfitters and schedule a Guided Fishing trip for you and your children and spend a full-day or a half-day in search of trout, walleye, bass or any of the other swimming species that call Beaver Lake home.
Ford's Creek Cove is a long, wide and deep cove, perfect for tubing or water skiing. I also have KAYAKS you can use while staying at Cedar Rock to explore the shoreline. If you are like me, being on the water immediately will lower your stress level and increase your happiness exponentially! We'll just make those arrangements after acceptance of the rental request.
At night, you can master how to cook S’mores at the firepit then go inside and challenge your crew with a Ping Pong tournament on the ping pong table downstairs! There are also 5 acres of beautiful wooded area to walk and explore. ***TIP: Don't forget to bring your binoculars and a camera to capture plenty of family pics in the beautiful outdoors as well as to capture the all of the memories you will create on your awesome Vacation at the Lake. I find nothing gives me more pleasure than having evidence of my vacations through my pictures and saying, "Remember when......?"

Since the cabin is in a private, remote area, we want to make sure that we are aware if anyone is at the cabin that shouldn't be. (There are absolutely no cameras indoors.) By staying here, you understand that security is an important thing and will not try to disable the cameras.
Due to liability and safety reasons, no firearms target practice and/or shooting is allowed at Cedar Rock Chalet.

Cedar Rock Chalet was the escape my husband and I needed after dealing with Hurricane Beryl in Houston. Literally every item we could think of was available at the cabin and on the dock. Our host Denise could not have been more welcoming before, during, and after our stay. We will definitely be back, hopefully under better circumstances.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this cabin on the lake is! Denise is a joy to work with and made sure everything was absolutely perfect. I have stayed in many VRBO's and I can honestly say that I've never had a host provide so many amenities and kind little extras before! You can absolutely tell that she puts her entire heart into making sure you have the best stay possible. My family loved hanging out on the dock, swimming and kayaking. We brought our boat to the lake but honestly, the family preferred staying on the dock! The water is crystal clear and there is a lovely shaded patio table as well. Ping pong was a nightly event. So many different kinds of games are there for your pleasure. The beds were comfy and she truly is a "pillow snob" because they were all so great! The walk to the dock is a little tough if you are not very agile. There is not a hand rail and the "steps" are flat stones at various spacing. I would worry if elderly or tiny kiddos were to navigate alone. With help, it is very doable so don't shy away because of it. The wrap around deck is so perfect and Denise puts the cutest pillows on all of the seating and swings! Just bring a food, swimsuit and pajamas because that's all that you will need. We can't wait to come back next summer! BEST HOST & CABIN EVER!!

Truly one of our best experiences with renting a lake house. The house resides in the perfect cove. Minimal to no boat traffic at least in our week. The dock was equipped with everything you can possibly need, table chairs, floats, kayaks, and lights! The same goes for the house! Didn’t once find myself wishing we had something. Denise really has the house equipped with everything!! I always pack a box of miscellaneous trinkets that most rentals overlook. To my surprise I didn’t even have to take it out of the truck she had it covered!! Denise is a absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you for furnishing our family with a memorable vacation!!

This amazing Beaver Lake property was perfect for our family. The property has a really nice pier / boat slips that provided great access to the lake and beautiful scenery. There was a lot for our family to do including ping pong, games, the fire pit and catching fireflies! Denise was great to work with and made the entire process very easy. Our family really enjoyed the time away!

Set in the woods surrounded by forest and lake, a perfect setting to leave the city behind. Mother, just turned 95, relived her childhood on the many porches while listening to morning and evening birdsong.

The host helped make our trip memorable, from start to finish! The small touches, gift basket, having everything you need, and then some, helped make this a wonderful trip! The cabin itself was roomy yet cozy, along with oodles of charm and character. The setting was beautiful, serene and offered so much privacy, but yet we were a short walk down to the shore where all the water activities were at your fingertips. This amazing host ( I could go on and on about her), the Instagram worthy cabin and the private location made this trip one to remember! We will definitely be staying there again-it was a whirlwind of a trip!

Granted, we were visiting in November, which I might add is a beautiful time to stay, as well as celebrating a family birthday. Denise found out about the birthday prior to our arrival and decorated the cabin and left a wonderful gift for our mom. That sweet act of kindness was above and beyond what any host would do! We felt Denise is truly committed to making all her guests feel welcome and making sure they have a wonderful stay.
After following the directions which were spot on, we arrived to find a spotless lake house full of charm, coziness and decorated right out of HGTV. It is hard to explain but, you feel like you are in your happy place. The beds were so comfy, we all slept extremely well. The kitchen is very well stocked so you can whip up anything your heart desires. We spent the mornings on the deck drinking coffee and enjoying the gorgeous views with a cool tree house vibe. Spent hours watching football and making lasting memories with family. There were so many games provided, you will never be bored. The highlight for me though, was the seclusion and peacefulness. We feel we've found our "home away from home" and can't wait to book in the spring and summer to take advantage of all the lake has to offer. However, I highly recommend this cabin no matter what the season!

This property is amazing! It’s everything you see in the pictures and more. Denise has the house well stocked and is very quick to respond to renters. She has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. If you find anything lacking, which you probably won’t, just reach out to her and she’s happy to assist. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. Not much boat traffic. Plenty of coves to fish in kayaks. We caught plenty of fish and had a delicious fish fry. Out of all the lake vacations we have taken this house is by far the best when it comes to detail and having everything we needed. The only thing that is a little tricky is the road leading to the house. It’s narrow and steep which is expected in the mountains. Our truck had no problem but our car scraped a few rocks and had a little trouble climbing the hill. All in all I would definitely recommend this rental. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The property was really something and the location was excellent. Just what we needed. It had every amenity that we could want. I just wish the lake water was warm enough for swimming. We will have to come back.

5 stars across the board. Perfect for a group of friends or family. The cabin is on about 5 acres of private lakefront property with woods to explore and quick access to a large dock. The water is beautiful on this part of the lake. Clean and clear. Perfect for swimming or fishing. We caught a few bass right off the dock.
There is a large new gas grill on the wrap-around deck that we used to grill steaks. We also cooked smores over the outdoor fire pit. Downstairs has an open room with a ping pong table and a big card table stocked with plenty of games. Spent a lot of our evening time down there.
The cleanliness and attention to detail within the cabin is what stood out to us. The kitchen is 100% fully stocked, TVs and Wifi work great, and the beds are comfortable with plenty of soft sheets and blankets provided. Everything was labeled so it made our lives easy.
Denise made the check-in process very easy and she was quick to respond to us. Highly recommend anyone to stay at this property.

We loved our stay. My parents, husband, kid, and dog were all happy as clams. Denise has an amazing attention to detail and everything you could ever need is available. She immediately responds to texts with any troubles not that there were anything major while we were there. The space is fantastic.

Perfection!
We enjoyed our time at this remote cabin very much. We have never had a better experience staying in an air b&b or VRBO. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Trust me when I say LITERALLY everything you need to be away from home will be waiting for you when you arrive. Even a small sound machine, dog toys, and lots of games for the kids. We loved everything about this cabin. It is very secluded to get away from it all. The cabin is loaded with everything you could ever need for your stay. They have a variety of games for family time and the ping pong table is an awesome bonus. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing. We would recommend this cabin to anyone & we plan to return!

Home Away From Home
This is our third stay at the Cedar Rock Chalet and it’s just as amazing as the first time. I would not stay at another place at Beaver Lake. Denise thinks of everything and is extremely responsive. The cabin is gorgeous and the kids love swimming on the private dock. Every time we leave, my family discusses when we are going to go back because our stay always gives us exactly what we need.

We didn't lack for anything, not only did we have all the pots/pans we needed but we had a griddle, blender, gas & charcoal grill, laundry detergent, personal hygiene items, bubble bath goodies and SOOOOO much more. The cherry on top was they had SHARP KNIVES, may seem crazy to some but I have started taking 1 or 2 good chopping knives because most places are terrible and when you cook like we do a sharp knife is a most so thanks Denise for paying attention to the very smallest details! We took our 22' boat and had no trouble getting it to the cabin although it was a bit tight on the last road up to the cabin. We ended up renting a boat slip at the nearby marina for a few days which was great and made it much easier on the days we went on the water. Make sure to take in a sunset down by the water. I can easily say this is one of the best rentals I've stayed in and would definitely stay here again.

BEST FAMILY GETAWAY EVER!!
This was our 2nd time coming back to this little slice of Heaven and it exceeded every expectation we had. We even brought my mother-in-love this time and it blessed my heart to see that she loved it as much as we did. This place has everything that you would ever need. It has beauty, nature, tons of activities, the lake, incredible views, and countless opportunities to spend time with loved ones and families in the most peaceful and tranquil setting you could imagine. Every time we visit, we are already planning our next trip back here and wishing we had booked a longer timeframe to stay. I think it is very important to note that you will not find a better VRBO host than Denise. She truly cares about you and your friends or family having the best experience staying here and she goes out of her way to ensure that you do. We felt 100% catered too and her hospitality was off the charts. There are not enough words that I could type here to tell you that you will never regret booking a trip here. This is truly one of our favorite places to visit.

Cedar Rock Chalet is absolutely amazing! This cozy, well appointed cabin has everything you’d ever want and more. This views and the warm ambiance of this place really are magical! It was a perfect get away and we will definitely go back!

This was an amazing property with a great game room in the bottom level. We had a wonderful time staying on the decks and looking out over the lake as well as family game time. Denise was a spectacular host with a lot of attention to detail. This was one of our best VRBO stays yet!

Sensational Getaway
What an amazing place! Rustic yet modern. Denise stockpiled the snacks, drinks and games! Very comfortable accommodations and I cannot think of 1 thing that was not in the cabin that we needed. It had it all! The fish were not biting, but it's early and when you're on the lake, catching fish is a bonus. The only "somewhat" negatives were the drive into the cabin, not for the weak of heart :). Also the cabin allows pets and my wife is allergic to dogs/cats, so her allergies were in high gear as there is likely pet dander. We all loved this place and will look to come back when it's a little warmer where we can swim and hopefully the fish are biting. Thank you!

What a lovely home away from home. The house itself was fantastic—so charming and spacious. The view was lovely, and especially beautiful at sunset on the dock. Everything was so comfortable—from the beds, furniture, to all the little items that the host has included to make your stay easy and truly make you feel at home. We were particularly impressed with the communication and care provided by the owners, both before and during our stay. Best VRBO experience yet. Thank you for having us!
