Everything was perfect for our late honeymoon getaway, the property was well taken care of and the owner was super helpful with directions and communication, it was super quiet which was what we desperately needed! Would definitely book again!

I absolutely adored the location of this place. It was situated in such a perfect spot - close enough to all the must-see places that I wanted to visit, yet far enough away to provide a peaceful and quiet environment to retreat to. It was the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility.

The setting among the hills just north of San Antonio couldn't have been more beautiful, the house as comfortable as possible, and our host extraordinarily helpful.
It was the perfect place for our three-night stay, and we'd be glad of a chance to return.

This is a lovely secluded vrbo, you have everything you need for a short stay. Its out of the way from busy areas but still close enough to town to get whatever was needed. Overall lovely stay

This property was an absolutely lovely getaway for my partner and me. Quiet and private, and the host made the stay quite welcoming and low-hassle. The house itself is a bit dated but completely functional and more than comfortable. Wonderful spot if you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and hustle for a bit.

Just wanted to get away for my birthday. Our host Bill was very nice and communicated through out the process.

Great location and host. Was surprised by shower

This property was just perfect for my visit to San Antonio. Easy to get to, quiet, and easy to visit San Antonio sites.

Loved it and so glad he reminded to bring some fireword, the fireplace was great and the cabin had everything I need, very comfortable.

Place was very quite and peaceful.

It’s a quaint little cabin set up on a hill. Bill was very responsive with his communication and answered any questions that we had. I would gladly stay here again the next time I’m in San Antonio!

Nice little cottage. Great place to stay!

This was what I was looking for, just outside of town enough to enjoy the peace and quiet, yet close enough to be where I wanted to be within 15-20 mins.
House was clean, and quaint. Hosts we friendly and had great communication. Mini fridge kept my beer cold, and a small kitchenette was all I needed to stay comfortable while I was at my home away from home.
Highly recommended!

A lovely place to escape after the hustle and bustle of wedding planning. The property was beautiful and quiet and the little house was inviting and quaint. We even talked about coming back for an anniversary in the future. We enjoyed our stay.

The owner was very responsive. Nice little place.

very nice cozy stay

The little house sits on the same property as the owner's house, but feels private and cozy. Close to Six Flags and Seaworld, but it's remote and peaceful, and Bill is a pleasant host. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this property for a little over a month while traveling for my job, and we had a fantastic experience. The owner’s property is well maintained and the area is very beautiful. The little house is far enough away from the main house that we always felt like we had our own privacy. The interior was so cozy and looked just like the pictures listed on this site, so we knew exactly what to expect.
Bill, the owner, was awesome! He made us feel right at home while we were there.
The area is so beautiful and is a relatively short 10-15 min drive to anything you need, like H-E-B, restaurants, coffee, and even places like Six Flags and La Cantera. About 30 minutes from Downtown too, which is still not bad.
The only things I would mention that might be important for some people are: There are no streetlights on the road to the house, so be careful if driving up the hill at night! There are deer occasionally on the side of the road. There are also a lot of bugs (mostly spiders) that get inside the little house, but you are out in the hill country so it’s to be expected.
Overall, would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay!

Check in and out was easy and quick. Very quiet area. Within half an hour of downtown and Boerne. Not much farther to German hill country. Only a couple miles from restaurants and stores. Comfortable bed and great scenery. Would stay here again for a relaxing trip.

The area was great. everything was close including EV charging. The location was quiet and we did see the local wildlife.

This was perfect for our trip to SA on parent's weekend. The home is only 12 minutes from campus! The owners were ready to accommodate our teenager but it wasn't necessary. The home is in a spot that makes you feel like you are in the heart of the hill country but you are only 5 min from the nearest HEB/Wal-Mart. The bed has got to be a California king and it's comfy. We will definitely stay here again!

The guest house on this property was amazing. They bed was so comfortable it was hard to leave. We literally over slept twice and we are normally early birds. We got lost a couple of time but it made was a great adventure. The tub was what make bubble bath dreams come true and the morning view out side the huge picture window was beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would recommend for sure.

Bill was a great host. The property was in great shape. Very comfortable and quiet.

Good price for this out of the way lodging. Owner was a nice guy and welcomed us. Loved the twisties that led us to this house. Love the hill country!
4.9
Off the beaten path in the middle of it all. We came in to see a show and wanted to visit a few other places while in the SA area. I feel like we were pretty well centrally located. When done with our site seeing we had a open ,clean ,and comfortable place to sit and relax. I recommend and will stay again.

Everything was perfect! We enjoyed our stay!

First of all...Bill was a great communicator. He was very helpful and responsive. There are SO many great state parks to explore and the little house was a great home base. The kitchen has enough, the bed was BIG and comfy and the whole place very spacious. It is a bit out of town..and was a bit tricky navigating at night but GPS got us there along with Bill's directions. Shower is within an clawed foot tub which we thought charming but if have mobility problems could be challenging. Fantastic having HEB at the bottom of the ride up the hill to the house. Hopefully we will be able to stay again on our next visit to this beautiful area.
4.9
Loved the country feel even though I was in San Antonio. Just the right amount of space. Will most definitely stay here again and will try to pick this property as my first choice when returning to San Antonio.

The check in process was really easy and the cottage was adorable. We came for a wedding so we weren't there too much but it was perfect for relaxing in the evening after being in the Texas heat!
4.9
This location was perfect for privacy and great views in the hills and still close enough to everything you need for shopping and parks. We visited San Antonio, Kerrville, and Canyon Lake areas with beautiful and easy drives everywhere we went. There were a few cobwebs (some to be expected with all the beautiful oak trees!) and we might have used windows open but the screens had some small holes. Overall it was a fantastic stay that left us rested and refreshed with a comfy king size bed, perfect but quaint kitchen options, and sitting outside listening to and watching the birds every morning. Bill was very quick to respond to any questions we had. I hope to stay again!
4.9
Bill , the owner, is very welcoming and is quick to respond to emails and texts. The cottage is definitely a nice place for a quiet get a-way but still close to parks and places to eat. The only problem we had was the first night without internet or TV- Bill was able to fix the next morning but made for a long first night.I would definitely recommend it for a place to stay while in San Antonio- either while visiting or in my case while my kitchen was under repair.. Loved the view from the main area- so peaceful!
4.9
Our experience was great. We wanted to get away from Houston for a few days and soon found ourselves wanting to stay longer. The property is within 10-15 mins of so many options, but offers a secluded feel. Great private and peaceful location!
4.9
Great little place with a retro vibe. Peaceful neighborhood with wildlife and if you are a walker, the roads are hilly making it a heart-pumping workout.
