I have brought a group of people to Rome for more than 8 years and have chosen to stay in this apartment. It is close to many great sites and there is a bus stop that is walking distance to the building. I hopefully will stay again.

Great stay, close to the Colosseum. We walked everywhere.
Great little kitchen, plenty of space for 6 of us.
Our 10yr old slept upstairs, as it was a little tight for us adults.
Was a little cold, as we werent able to use the heating, but nothing an extra jumper and more blankets on the bed didnt fix.
The safe didnt work, but it was a pretty safe building & neighbourhood anyway.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Rome, thank you

As mentioned in previous reviews, the upstairs rooms lack privacy and are quite difficult to access. Apart from that, the property was lovely- old furniture and paintings, spacious bedrooms and clean.
Excellent communication.

Lovely appartment only a short walk away from bars, restaurants and of course the colosseum.

Exactly as advertised, very spacious and clean. We are a family of 6 with teenagers and everyone had lots of room for their own space. The cafes and restaurants in the immediate area within minutes at the Colosseum and metro. Road noise was our only issue and used ear plugs to sleep. Many thanks to Micaela for meeting us so late in the evening.

We had a great time staying at this appartment located very close to the Colosseum. The cafes and restaurants near this place are great but please book in advance as they were pretty popular among both tourists and locals. One of the beds was a little hard to our liking, though we slept well nevertheless. Would definitely visit again!

A wonderful interesting building 5 minutes from Colisseum, metro and lots of good cafe bar/ restaurants
Everything you need is in the apartment. Ideal for families and friends. The host was excellent in communication from start to finish. We asked for extra towels which were supplied promptly at no extra cost . I would certainly recommend this apartment

What a beautiful place! Our hostess was so personal, so lovely! With character and an amazing location! Very responsive! Thank you!!!

We enjoyed our stay here. We traveled with two families totalling 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 5-14). There was plenty of room for everyone. The location was great with an easy walk to restaurants, the Colosseum, and a bus stop. The metro stop was a little bit of a longer walk, but manageable. I would highly recommend this apartment for people travelling with a large group of older kids. Note that the spiral stair case that leads upstairs and the low ceilings of second floor may cause concerns for those with very young kids or an all-adult group. However, our kids loved the space.

Lia’s apartment is incredibly well located near the Colosseum. With a traditional and unique decor, the flat is spacious and well maintained. Great air conditioning in the bedrooms ensures comfortable sleeping conditions as well.
We will be back!

My family and I stayed at this apparently (a former art gallery) and enjoyed our stay very much. We were greated by our gracious host and shown around the apartment. There was enough frolm for our entire family (8 people) with plenty of room to spare. The location was wonderful and just a few blocks from the Colosseum. There were plenty of places to eat nearby and lots to see and do. We would definitely stay here again when in Roma.

Easy check-in. Interesting place. We walked everywhere from this location - the colosseum….the pantheon….Vatican, etc. Several from our group opted to rent scooters and that worked out well. The entry door to the apartment is very narrow but has great charm. The upstairs is bizarre but cool. Well stocked kitchen. Would stay again.

Great location just up from Colosseum, nice coffee shop around corner. 5 bedrooms, 2 do have balconies to rooms below but all worked well for our family party of 9. Good communication, would stay again.

You could not find a better place to stay in Rome with a family. After touring in the hot weather, kids need a place to chill and this is it. Up the winding staircase is a kids hangout where they can have their own space and connect to the WiFi. For adults there are large air conditioned bedrooms and a living room.
This is a unique property in a lovely old building with lots of character. We loved the crisp white linen and lots of towels. The kitchen is well equipped but we only ate in for breakfast and an occasional lunch. There are lots of great reasonably priced places to eat nearby.
The apartment is just up the street from the colosseum and easily accessible to public transport .
We were a family of 7. Two grandparents and our daughter and son-in- law and 3 children.
We would highly recommend this property for a stay in Rome. You will not be disappointed.

An interesting property. It was close to the Colosseum and that was fun to walk to in the evening. There are also good restaurants nearby. However half of the rooms could only be accessed by a narrow spiral staircase and then once up there the hallway is too short to fully stand up so you have to walk bent over. Two in our party were close to 70 and could not access those rooms. All in all it was an interesting place and I would stay again.

The location to the city center can't be beat. Walking distance to the Colosseum and restaurants was important for our group of 12. Seven of which we kids 16 and under.

We just had the most amazing 4 night stay in Rome at Lia’s apartment. Check in was easy. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. We really liked the location as it had a cafe essentially on site and many great restaurants in walking distance. The Colosseum was also super close for touring.
I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone traveling to Rome with a larger group. We hope we can return sometime soon.
Grazie Lia and all of Roma!!

This apartment was exactly what we needed! We had a great time and loved the accommodation

The property is very spacious and close to the colosseum / forum area with plenty of dining and cafe options...however the neighborhood seemed dirty. The property manager was easy to communicate with and very responsive. That said, the beds were uncomfortable and the property lacked some basic supplies like additional toilet paper / paper towels.

Great location.
4.6
The property was very accomodating for a large group, and in close proximity to the colloseo and many other worth while sights. There is also a few cafes very close by as well as a convenience store. The apartment itself is unique and has lots of character. A good pick !

Clean and very spacious. Close to Colosseum and about 10 minute walk to metra. We enjoyed our stay.

This VRBO was much larger than expected. There is a whole upstairs that we didn't use. The home was clean and the art was a lovely added touch. Thank you for letting us stay.

We had a wonderful time in Rome and the home is exactly as described in the listing. The hosts were easy to communicate and work with throughout the duration of the stay. This was not our initially preferred location in Rome; however, we are happy we stayed here. The apartment is located in a safe area very close the the Colosseum and the neighborhood was an unexpected surprise. Lots of good restaurants and cafes located nearby. I would highly recommend this location for any large family staying in Rome!

The apartment is accurately described in the listing. It was clean and in a great location.
4.6
The home was very nice and close to antiquities. The kitchen was extraordinarily outfitted for cooking. We were able to cook and host an Italian interpreted Thanksgiving meal with our group and friends in Rime during the stay. Very fun!
And the contact for the property was available and friendly throughout the stay. We always felt cared for by the owner’s English fluent host. It was a hit!
4.6
The apartment fits large groups very comfortably. It is very close to the Colosseum and many great restaurants.

This is a unique property in a great Rome location not far from the Coliseum. The place is large, and can accomadate a large group, but there were only 6 of us, so we never ventured up the small winding staircase. The kitchen is a little small, but was well equipped and had everything we needed. Loved our stay here.

We loved our stay at this charming former art gallery in Rome's ancient quarter. A few minutes' walk from the Colisseum and many other of the area's most important sites, this apartment has an old world feel with a lot of character. It's quirky -- the ceilings on the upper level were not quite standing height for our American family -- but we found the quirkyness very charming, and our kids loved the Hobit-height of some of the doorways and the entry to the main building (watch your head!)
There is a hundred-year-old coffee house just a couple doors down, which is so convenient, and many cafes and shops in near walking distance.
The host was very kind and responsive and gave great instructions on how to use the three separate keys to access the residence. Gaining access requires climbing a few steps, but then there is an elevator between floors.
This is a great residence for multiple families, especially with a bunch of kids who can take over the upstairs bedrooms. It is air conditioned and there are bathrooms on each floor. The access between floors requires climbing a narrow spiral staircase, which might be problematic for anyone with mobility issues, but it was not a problem for us. Also, this is not a place for anyone who wants that everything-is-brand-new feel. This is place is full of old-world charm, with little in the way of modern polish. Chandeliers, artwork, heavy wood furniture -- all from a time before Ikea. Whether you find that lovely or loathsome is a matter of personal taste. We loved it.
Overall, I highly recommend a stay at this charming property. We can’t wait to come back.

Great Roman apartment. Very spacious and well equipped. AC didn’t work in one of the rooms but otherwise it was great. The second floor was very charming!

Loved this home and the best cafe around the corner!!

Lovely place
Great location. Very spacious. Great beds!

All good in this spacious unit
Manager was very helpful
Enough of everything Beds, Towels, plates, cups etc
Nice to be able to spread out, unlike many hotel rooms
My only concern was the lock on the front door they are a bit temperamental (blamed on the heat and swelling of the building)
We enjoyed Rome

Time in Rome.
We left for Rome from Chicago. Our flight was changed to a much earlier time so the owners were very kind and let us come in early. We really appreciate that. The only comment we have is that the air conditioning could be updated. In the hot days of summer, a good air conditioning system as needed.

Great Place!
The owner and property manager were amazing! The location and place was great!
