About this apartment rental

Our vintage apartment is located in the beautiful Chicago neighborhood of Lakeview with many ethnic restaurants and clubs within walking distance. Try a different ethnic specialty every night of the week. Stroll 2 blocks through the neighborhood to the elevated train to downtown or catch an Uber, Lift or cab in minutes. The lake front is less than a mile away and so is Wrigley Field.
The apartment is the 1st floor of a vintage 2 flat with natural woodwork and updated and fully equipped kitchen and bath. It is comfortably and tastefully decorated to make you feel at home. Just unpack your bags and make this your home away from home. Our beds and linens are high quality insuring a good nights sleep.
An outdoor garden space/shaded patio, BBQ grill and dining table is just out the back door of the apartment. Kind of a country in the city feel. As our guest you are encouraged to use the yard to sip your morning coffee or BBQ your dinner on a charcoal grill.
* Pet Friendly: We do ask that we are informed at the time the apartment is rented about any and all pets. There is a $75 pet fee per stay. We also ask that all pet owners are responsible and pick up after their pets. Additional fee for pet is charged
* Kid Friendly: We have hosted many families. Kids are welcome. We have a Pack-n-Play and high chair for your use
* Minimum Age Limit for Renters: The
renting party must be at least 25 years old
* Smoking Not Allowed: Our apartment is smoke free. you are welcome to smoke on the patio or while sitting on the front steps watching the neighborhood go by! Please dispose of butts properly

Mother / son trip to catch a baseball game at wrigley, shop, eat good meals. All was walking distance to this well kept apartment in a great neighborhood at a reasonable price. Very high value!

We chose this property for its proximity to Wrigley Field and Downtown transportation options. Our young adult daughters went to Lollapalooza, my husband and I walked to a Cubs game and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Lots of space for all of us to spread out. Kitchen is well stocked and outdoor space is quiet and relaxing.

We had a wonderful family trip to Chicago! The property was perfect and the hosts were so thoughtful, accommodating, and communicative. Perfect location to all the sites downtown with easy public transportation, Wrigleyville, and plenty of diverse restaurants options. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

My 80+ year old parents stayed here for a week. The apartment is a gem!! It was spotless, well equipped, and super comfortable/homey. The neighborhood is lovely and safe. They walked to a different restaurant for almost every meal. This sure beats staying in a hotel. The owners even managed to supply perfect weather all week :). Thank you - will most definitely be happy to stay here again.

Great Lakeview location. Older rental property, so the place is a little musty, but overall cleaned well. Lots of common space, very small bedrooms. Plenty of linens, towels, good coffee.

Our 5 day stay in chi town for our daughter’s graduation was 5 star. The lakeview area is beautiful and the place was a 2 min walk to my daughter’s place which worked out perfectly. The apartment was very clean, kitchen with all the amenities and the living area perfect for unwinding from the days activities. The back garden is tranquil to sit and have morning coffee. Matt and Diane were amazing hosts and easy to reach if needed. We would highly recommend this apartment for a stay in the Lakeview area.

I want to start by saying that this is by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Immaculate! Apartment is very well appointed, everything you could need is there. Great fluffy towels, comfortable sheets and blankets. The living is huge with what might be the best couch ever. Parking was easy, always found a spot right out front. It’s very very quiet, and very peaceful. Major bonus that we could bring our pooch. *Tip for dog owners, there are about 5 steps to get into the first floor unit. Not too steep at all*. Our senior girl needs help with stairs no matter what, but these would be easy for any mobile dog. The neighborhood is great and super stacked with restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Too many to get to in 1 weekend! Would love to book again! Did I mention how clean it was?!! Loved our stay, thank you!

Quick family get away to visit friends. This location was perfect with the family. Clean, large space with easy access to everything you need. (Transportation, food, coffee at every corner, playground for the kids down the block) great stay!

The unit is really clean and it has lots of amenities. The kitchen is well stocked. It's in a great location - easily walkable to many restaurants, grocery stores and public transportation. Parking was always available. Will definitely stay here again.

This was short Chicago visit of our daughter who studies in the vicinity of Lincoln park. Great location, apartment tastefully decorated, great kitchen, bath and beds. A nice outside porch. Quiet and safe place.

Serene surroundings, the history of the home and owners very interesting. Had everything needed for a comfortable extended stay. Home was dog friendly, as was whole neighborhood. Having nothing to complain about. We hope to come again soon.

Went to 3 Res Sox vs Cubs baseball games. This location was an easy one mile walk. The area has beautiful tree lined homes. The area is extremely safe and clean.

The property was in a great location and we especially enjoyed the outside seating area complete with babbling water fountain. It was great for a relaxing evening after a busy day in the city, and for morning coffee too! Everything about our stay was easy…the host even thinks to provide coffee beans fresh for grinding. We were in town to get our eldest son set up in a city apartment for his first job after college. This location was close enough for us to explore the city in-town and also the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Thanks for a great stay (sorry about the umbrella—just found it in the car).

This property was just as described. It was very clean and comfortable for our stay. The property was located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, within a short walking distance to Wrigley field as well as to public transportation so we were able to get downtown very easily.

We enjoyed our stay. Owners are excellent in regards to communicating, which we really appreciated. The apartment itself is very comfortable and well furnished. Set expectations on the bedrooms accordingly: they are a little tight (about 7 ft wide) but its manageable. Apartment is on first floor, so you will hear some occasional movement upstairs. This was not a big issue.

We had a great time! The home was in a great location walking distance to many cafes and restaurants and the CTA. The place had plenty of extra towels, very large living room and a lovely back patio where we sipped our coffee. Host was very responsive and allowed us a slightly earlier check in. Check in process was a breeze. Felt very safe. Would stay again.

As my title implies, everything about this place is perfect. We came down for a Cubs game, and the walking distance was perfect. About a mile, but a nice walk with plenty of places to stop along the way if you needed or wanted to. Perfect for dining. I Personally feel there is just about any type of food you could want within 1/4 to half mile radius. We opted for Mexican, two of the 3 nights because it was so good. But we walked past plenty of places that looked great. Perfect for bars. No matter if you want to go to the oldest bar on Lincoln Street or the newest, both are a short walk. The Home Tavern, established 1928, is an old time tavern, whileThe Olive Black, established 2023, is a modern bar which serves martinis, Chicago brews on tap, and flat bread to satisfy your hunger. And there are plenty of others too check out. And finally, perfect accomodations. The rental was perfect for the 3 of us. Small bedrooms, but perfect. Comfortable beds, fresh linens, clean bathroom, nice size kitchen with all amenities. And nice size living room with a TV and huge couch. To top everything off, a beautiful courtyard out back with table and chairs where we spent most mornings and evenings. Very quiet and peaceful! Out of the 4 places we've stayed at in the area over the past few years, this one was our favorite overall. The owners were great, and very accommodating! We'll definitely stay there next time!

Location, property, and owners were all very nice. We spent three days in Chicago touring and visiting colleges. Lots to do in walking distance and public transit was easy to navigate from there. Easy walk to Whole Foods for groceries. Great stay overall.

We loved staying at the Gingko property in Lakeview. The neighborhood is close to public transportation, coffee shops and is nice and quiet. The hosts were friendly and responsive. The backyard space is beautiful. It could use a little updating but we were very comfortable and happy here.

This place was terrific, both in terms of location and amenities! The apartment was wonderful, as were Mark and Diane. They allowed us to host our son (who attends college in Chicago) and a group of his friends for dinner in their lovely backyard. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely like to return.
