Lovely and catered for my gluten free
Not sure we wanted the disabled room. Would have preferred a normal room on higher floor

Location was great and very close to everything we wanted to visit. The hotel is beautiful and our stay has been perfect. Forest Side is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and I would love to visit again. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. I felt so relaxed and at home at the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds. We saw two deers walking in the gardens outside while eating our breakfast. The rooms have lots of little touches from luxury toiletries to a cake of the day provided for us to enjoy. I would highly recommend to everyone .

The breakfast was exceptional plenty of choice, cooked really well and served with style.
our room was of a very high standard, this was shown in the fixtures and fittings, along with the comfort of the high class linens and bedding. right through to the luxury bath products.

Very nice spacious bathroom with lots of light and nice design
We travelled with a small child and right during the check in we were made to feel unwelcome. We were told about not being able to have dinner at the restaurant because of the small child and left with no options of dining in the room or anything else. While I haven't seen anything about child restrictions on their website or booking and was not aware about it, I could have understood that this was the policy at the hotel, it's just that the communication was almost hostile towards us. We tried to ask for any options, but everything was just a no answer. We haven't even been provided with any help or information on any dining options within the town of Grasmere. At this level of price I would have expected some hospitality during from the reception staff. We have felt unwelcome during our stay at the hotel. Considering the high prices I have expected better service.

The location is stunning and the staff were so lovely throughout our stay. Beautiful Bramley products in the bathroom and reception. Had the best night sleep after a long drive. Delicious breakfast in bed.
Only staying one night and the restaurant not being open sadly!

A great hotel with good service. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We only stayed one night (Tuesday) so did not get to experience the evening meal. We would stay again
Only 2 very minor niggles which did not detract from the stay - we stayed in Spruce and there is an extremely 'squeaky' floor board which could really annoy. Also the loo roll holder was totally out of keeping with the room and was not very functional -

Loved how big the rooms were & the location with beautiful landscape around the hotel.
Was surprised there wasn’t a safe and refrigerator. Didn’t mind the safe so much but would’ve been great to have a fridge to keep my baby’s food in. However, staff were very accommodating so I’m sure they would’ve dealt with this if I asked.

A beautiful hotel. The room we had was the basic room and it was spectacular, beautifully finished and spacious. The staff were faultless. We had a lovely breakfast. Just a shame we could only stay for one night.
I think more could be done with the terrace seating area possibly more comfortable seating. I know this is a high end hotel but the drink prices are a bit over the top.

Firstly the look of the hotel, it’s surroundings the gothic feel. The hotel oozes class. Relaxing in the bar area on an evening , the furniture so comfy. Like being in a Agatha Christie novel. The food delicious the cheese n chive scone I recommend. Stayed in room rose. The view out the window in bed is better than a painting.
Liked all of it.

The room was big and beautifully decorated, with a large modern bathroom. There was a big shower and huge bath and toiletries. We had tiny cakes in our room on arrival and chilled water. Breakfast was very good, and we had delicious bar snacks when we arrived as the restaurant was closed. The pizza was huge. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is only 10-15 minutes walk from Grasmere. An amazing stay.
Nothing.

The hotel Otis outstanding in all respects. We stayed in a master suite - well worth paying a little extra for one of these. Restaurant is closed on Mon/Tues but they do offer bar snacks and there are several great restaurants in Grasmere. Suggest The Wordsworth.

A lovely property, made great by the wonderful staff.
Our room, while comfortable, was very hot and a little noisy with the window open due to the kitchen/ yard below
6.0
- Modern, very well spec'd spacious bathroom
- Extremely clean
- Incredible views from the room, and its beautiful grounds
- Staff were very friendly
- Great Wi-Fi
- No gym?!?!?!
- Very small TV screen for such a large room
- For the room price you would expect better facilities. No coffee machine, nor air conditioning. The room provides 2 fans in the room which had to be kept on as it was very hot throughout the stay
- Stayed at this hotel purely for the great food reviews, so I was extremely disappointed to find out that the restaurant was closed on the days that we stayed
- The cooked breakfast was OK, but fell below expectations
- Unfortunately none of the restaurants or surrounding pubs would let let us dine with them after 8:15pm. With no food service available at the hotel, we had to resort to buying groceries at the local Co-Op.
