Very nice hotel with good facilities and a nice breakfast.
We were charged £10 / night to park in the hotel car park, which we thought was outrageous. When we queried this, we were told if we didn't like it we could park somewhere in the village at a pay & display car park. Because of this, we are unlikely to stay there again.

Lovely hotel, warm , welcoming and comfortable. We were very kindly allowed in early as the roads were flooding and storms on the way and we were worried about being stranded. Comfortable bed, nice shower, usual facilities in the room. Nice breakfast . Great location near WW museum and cottage
Spa small and over subscribed. Main meal in restaurant small , unexciting and expensive

All staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had lovely food and really enjoyed our time in the spa.
There was nothing at all that could have been better.

Upgrade on arrival was a great first impression and it got better from there. Great rooms side by side as travelling with our teenage son.The beds were comfortable, great shower (I did use the Spa facilities/ loved the large sauna especially after a 3 hour walk). It had that extra touch at breakfast where everything was served at your table (none of this queueing for the buffet or making your own toast thats become prevalent in hotels). Staff were great both at reception & in the restaurant.
Paying £20 for parking in the hotel car park.

All of the staff were helpful and friendly.
The room that we were given was extremely comfortable and provided us both with a lovely relaxing break.
Thank you Rothay Garden Hotel & Riverside Spa for a lovely time.
Jets on the hot tub didn't appear to work but sauna was good.

Beautiful gardens and the breakfast was very tasty and well presented.
The car charging point was a three pin plug, not suitable for most electric cars (unless they carried the special adaptor)
The toilet the was loose from the wall.

We had the tasting menu and it was fantastic. The spa was also lovely but the aromatherapy room was cold and don't seem to be working
The drinks were extremely expensive and very overpriced

It was clean & quiet with the exception of the receptionist talking on the phone whilst we were trying to check in
No aircon, windows were stuck

Breakfast was delicious except my daughter wasn’t impressed that they don’t do beans. Lovely little balcony with a nice view. Plenty of sachets of tea/coffee/chocolate. Bed was lovely and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We weren’t very impressed with the spa. It was very small. Luckily we had it to ourselves as it can supposedly take up to 8!

We didn’t even stay the rooms we were offered were in poor condition for the amount of money! No way is this a 4 star hotel! We had a refund and went back to the immaculate 4 star hotel that we had left the night before.
Very tatty and needs a serious update or lower the prices. I could have stayed at home in nicer surroundings x

The hotel, the staff, the food, the spa, the location all absolutely fabulous and would recommend to anyone. Watch out for the corkage charges, if it wasnt for that id have marked this a 10.
Corkage charges now being applied between £30 and £60 depending what you drink in your room. Wine is £30 just to have an ice bucket and spritis they were on about charging £60. Technically if you drink red wine, you could do this without charge making the whole thing a farce, just extortionate when youre already paying hundreds for a room. I appreciate you want people to spend at the bar, but this isnt the way to do it. I found it very off putting, the girl i spoke too wavered the charges for me, so it can be done, but still a conversation i didnt want to have to have on a relaxing break.
