Brilliant location. You get a lovely friendly welcome with the added bonus of complimentary cream tea. The breakfasts are really delicious and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Sarah and Amber were on staff this visit and both are a credit to the hotel. It was my second visit and I’m fairly certain to be back. Oh and the bed was super comfortable ( I usually have difficulty sleeping the first night away but I was fine here)
The parking spaces are very tight for even an average family car. The bathroom only has hand and body wash attached inside the shower over the bath so you have to reach for it. Just a small niggle but soap at the washbasin would be better in my opinion

Perhaps a few more maps of walks/ drives local attractions in the hotel information .

The room was clean, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was cooked to order and great and the location was very convenient as a base to explore the Lake District.
One of the other guests must have set off the fire alarm at 2am on the Saturday night we stayed and there was no one on the property to sort it out, so all of the guests were forced to wait in the car park for 30 min while someone could be contacted and switch off the alarm. We were offered compensation, but the damage was already done as my husband had to face a 6 hour drive with little sleep.

We had a fantastic stay, the room exceeded our expectations and the tea, scones and clotted cream was a wonderful surprise on our arrival. Sarah was an attentive host and made us feel very special

Breakfast and staff,especially Liv,were exceptional.

The rooms were excellent and the English breakfast was very good. We used the sister restaurant around the corner and that was good, but we would have preferred to eat in-house.
The bar is a lounge area and not ideal at busy times, in-house food was not available for us at the time, other than breakfast but the sister restaurant is around the corner.

The photos don’t do this place justice. We loved our stay here, from the fabulous breakfasts to afternoon scones, it was a wonderful experience and we wish we could have stayed longer! Comfy beds, rooms with individual charm and character, and spotlessly clean.
Can’t think of a thing!

great location and staff and breakfast. there’s a constant bus service to other towns that’s very good.
Grasmere is pretty boring little town and few restaurants and sites available
