The location was excellent and although our room faced the road there was no noise whatsoever. The evening meal we were given was delicious!! Great choice of breakfast menu both continental and cooked, overall we loved our stay and would most definitely book again.
Nothing to pick fault at, great staff, location, facilities, definitely recommend.

location was great
we couldn’t use the pool between the hours of 3 and 6 because swimming lessons were happening. I feel that the guests should be the priority as it was so expensive stay !

location
room was great, very spacious with cute balcony
parking a bit tight

Beautiful location, ideal for travelling further afield ( also a bus stop right outside, ideal if you don't have a car). The Little Inn is right opposite the larger Inn at Grasmere, and all meals, reception and facilities are here. We had room number 5, which has a lovely balcony with mountain views, plus a nice seating/tv area and the room was spotlessly clean, nice decor with a very comfortable bed and both soft and hard pillows. We ate at the main inn 3 nights, and the food was lovely, breakfasts were great with a good choice, and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. All in all, a lovely stay, and we can't wait to return!
We couldn't find fault with any aspect of our stay - just wish we could have stayed longer!
4.2
Breakfast was good
Had our room booked out .A mix up which baffled everyone. However we were upgraded but the bath was unusable as the plug mechanism broken so could not empty water.

lovely breakfast, good choices.

Beautiful room- lots of space and very quiet. We could only hear the front door because we were right next to it, but we couldn’t hear any noise from other guests. It was cosy and warm (considering it’s February!) and we’d love to come back in summer to make the most of the little patio area. I requested a particular room at the point of booking and the staff were wonderful enough to ensure we got this room. We really appreciated that!
My only slight problem was that breakfast was very over crowded but maybe we chose the wrong time (we chose 9:30 and looked like the whole of Grasmere did too!). The hot area in particular was stressful as there were so many people trying to make different drinks, and sadly most of them didn’t respect personal space. Having said that, the breakfast buffet was well stocked, good coffee and a good menu of hot food. Even though it was busy, we didn’t have to wait too long for our poached eggs, and they were lovely :). The staff were working really hard and I think they were doing a great job!

Breakfast was great.
Packing wasn’t great. Not many spaces outside of hotel but plenty at their sister hotel.

I was in room 5 in the Little Inn, which is a splendid room, where I could happily have stayed without leaving! However, you can't be in the midst of the hills and just stay in your room... It was quiet, looking as it does over the green, rather than being right on the road; clean, and very comfortable. There was a little noise from people coming in and up the stairs later in the evening, but otherwise no noise from other rooms at all.
Staff were friendly and efficient - even the chap at breakfast who began to get a bit frazzled when it got very busy managed to stay polite!
The guests' lounge is a pleasant to sit with a drink. As a solo woman traveller I never felt uncomfortable at any point, and was quite at ease.
Parking is always difficult - not the Grasmere Inn's fault, just a problem with being in a small village. If you want to be sure of parking by the hotel, you need to arrive pretty early! The 'overflow' parking at their sister hotel is fine, only a 5 minute walk away.

Size of room good, very clean, location was great, good food and hot breakfast
Parking is very limited apart from that nothing not to dislike

Hotel room was lovely really clean spacious .Lovely setting.Staff were helpful and friendly.Breakfast was average.
The only downside was the amount if people with dogs everywhere.I have z problem with animal hair so as the dogs were in lounge and bar was a problem for me.I did not see that dogs were welcome at this hotel. Therefore me and my husband will not be returning which is such a shame as we really liked it.
4.2
It was part of larger complex and the main hotel was lovely.
The room was smelly and in need of a good clean. Found dog hairs on the floor and dirt in the shower and bathroom.
4.2
good breakfast, good bar meal, nice and efficient staff, well appointed room, good bed and linen/towels, good shower
room cold in the day and evening , still cold at midnight, spoke twice to staff about it but no change. hot during the night ( radiator on overnight, could have done with it in the day time)
bathroom tiny, anyone more than average size would have struggled

We had a beautiful big room and bathroom with lovely furnishings. It felt like a 5 star place. It was in a great location.
All good but parking at the hotel can be hard to find.
4.2
Location and dog friendly. Swimming pool was good. Lots of restaurants nearby. Located well for the walks in and around Grasmere. Good breakfast selection.
Car parking was difficult.

This was a lovely hotel in the heart of grasmere. The hotel is right across the road from the main hotel and had such a lovely view of the hills. The we ate at the main hotel on the first night and the breakfast both mornings and the food was delicious! we also spent an afternoon in the lounge which is only for residents which had great view. Very central location and such a great stay.
The car park is small and can't be reserved. However, there is a car park around the corner which was £18 for 3 days so wasn't a massive inconvenience.

We have stayed at the little in before and staff are very friendly and close to all amenities the food is top quality the rooms are beautiful couldn't of wished for better will definitely go back again
There wasn't anything I disliked about the little inn we'd go back again

Grasmere is a lovely village with good walks.
We stayed in the little inn across the road from the main hotel. Room was very roomy and tastefully decorated.
All members of staff from reception to restaurant were friendly and very helpful, a credit to the hotel.
The only problem we encountered was parking, we arrived and managed to park outside the little inn but found people arriving later would just block you in. We were contacted whilst out walking as another guest had blocked the people parked next to us and they wondered if we moved our car over that they could maybe get out. We were out walking so we’re not anywhere near. When we arrived home, I washed my car and found a small dent, which obviously I can’t say was caused in the car park but it wasn’t there before. I do think the hotel need to tell people they cannot block residents in. There is a pay and display car park just a few minutes walk!!

The location is fab and the use of the pool as part of the facilities.
Drink prices were high.

Love the location we regularly visit grasmere, the room was well decorated, good size. The inn bar/lounge area was lovely. Really nice looking hotel, good facilities available although we didn't use them. One member of staff was very nice and helpful.
We didn't know how to check in, we weren't told it was at the hotel accross the road, another guest came into our room thinking it was hotel reception. We weren't told we had to book a table for dinner, then were told there was nothing available, then told by another member of staff there was a table. The heating didn't work in the room, very cold and woke up cold although we were given a small heater after we told reception. We booked a table for breakfast but we didn't receive our hot breakfast order for 45 minutes and the breakfast wasnt up to much. One member of staff was also quite rude.

some dust in the room. parking was a bit of a pain but it does state there isn’t enough parking on site when booking.

We had an overnight stay for a birthday treat. Booked a table in the restaurant for the evening which lovely.
Fab location, gorgeously decorated room {we were located across from the Little Inn Pub} Mountain view and courtyard outside with small table and chairs.
Breakfast was amazing.
Would definitely recommend.
4.2
Good location, friendly, helpful staff, pool was great to come back to after a walk
changing rooms a bit small, parking quite limited
4.2
In all a great stay very clean food good, think the place was understaffed at times, but they did the best they could, given the national shortage of staff everywhere. In all a good stay would definitely go back.

Food was wonderful. Cute building and room was supper cute.
Parking was great
