Staff was very friendly, Debora and Romina are great! Location right next to the main trails (Chalten is a small town), enough space in common area, big lockers in the room.
Bed mattress is old and not confortable, after many days hiking, you need a good bed.

100% recomendable.

Todo excelente,la ubicación el trato

The man and the girl on reception were super friendly and helpful, they even borrowed their own adaptor to charge my phone. I really appreciated it! The location is great too, very close to the start points of the treks.
My blanket was full of hair and my locker was dirty, I had to clean it myself

Cosy hostel, good staff, great location for the v popular Laguna de Los Tres hike. One of the dorm rooms has two beds and they let us switch, so effectively a private twin (bunkbed) room for the same price.
Bunkbed ladder fell apart while in use, could have been disastrous. Staff very apologetic and refunded us a night, and said they'd check all the others.
Rooms don't have lockers

Nice hostel. Good living room. Not bad but not great for meeting people. Decent kitchen facilities.
Small beds which were quite unstable, and therefore moved a lot when your bunkmate rolled over. Very unreliable Wi-Fi. Bathroom pretty average. A long way from the centre of town, and the bus stop is at the other side of the centre, so quite a distance to the bus.

hostel is sooooo warm and cosy

perfect location, clean rooms and really clean bathrooms and AMAZINGLY hot and powerful shower! kitchen good and communal area lovely and warm and cozy. staff super friendly. would stay again

The room is very small but it works. I am a young solo traveler and I felt safe and comfortable. I love the common living area and the kitchen is big. The bathrooms were clean. Quite far away (15 min walk) from the bus station so make sure to book transportation if you don’t want to walk in the rain and wind as I did. But very close to the trailheads. Overall had a pleasant experience.

Good location for the hikes you can do there, hostel was always warm, had a good kitchen. staff were always helpful when you needed it. Very clean large shower/bathroom area
there were only two spaces to cook on the hob and with a lot of people self-catering there it could get very crowded/have to wait to use a hob. The room was very small and was quite a squeeze for 4 people.

Unfortunately the worst hostel experience, what I had so far in Argentina.
My room was in the attic, so it was super warm there even at night. We must sleep with an open window. (El chalten is probably the most windy place I have ever been)
I really couldn't sleep well.
Only three of six stoves works in the kitchen. If you want to prepare a meal, keep in mind, you must wait.
I asked for a sharper knive, they don't have it, but they had there own restaurant....
After I survived 5 nights in the hostel(I booked in advance) I could finally change the hostel.

the lovely dining area, the first floor dorms, the toilet, and the kitchen were great!
if we had to state a downside, unfortunately we got moved to the second floor dorms for a night because we extended our stay and it was SO HOT up there! even opening a window wasn’t enough :,(

Rooms are too small, bathrooms did not really have locks and needed to be cleaned more often.
4.1
The main chilling area is super comfortable with lots of natural light.
The cooking facilities were very good. They bought a clicky lighter for the gas job because a few of us were struggling with the smoker style one. They also bought cooking oil during my time there which shows they do listen and improve when guests are needing certain items.
Some of the staff on reception were not helpful. The exception was Leo who always wore a smile and spoke excellent English. My tour company didn’t show up one morning and the people on duty helped somewhat but didn’t show much interest in the matter. If you want your help, go to the hostel next door called Paine grande.
The rooms were either too hot or too cold. No in between. Note that the rooms are also small.
The bunk beds did not have barriers on the top bunk which is a little unsafe.
The bathroom was ok but no separate showers with doors. There were 3 toilets but only 1 had a functioning lock.
For me, the location was a little too far from the centre.
4.1
Great dorms with comfy beds, nice hang out area, very friendly staff
No place to lock valuables
4.1
Central location to 2 of the big trails; decent wifi
Dirty washrooms. Rooms are not well ventilated. Lacking basic amenities such as lockers and outlets.
4.1
Good location close to trailheads, big and well equiped kitchen, nice dining room area with couches, hot water in showers.
The temperatures run a hit hot at times and the set up of the common areas didn't really encourage socializing. Also, no lockers, they really should be a stable in every hostel. A power outlet next to every bed would also be a plus, now only some people had them.
4.1
spacious kitchen, warm showers, nice chill area, staff was always super nice and helpful, close to the start of Laguna de Los tres
no lockers, bed was just ok but pillow was really bad (both foam, not real mattress and pillow), a tad far from the bus station (not the worst…), no bowls in the kitchen to make my breakfast, rooms a bit depressing but also could have been worse
4.1
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Location is close to trail starts.
The hostel provides baggage storage.
The internet is weak and doesn't work in rooms.
Kitchen could be better equipped.
4.1
location was close to the trails (not the bus station) and the staff was helpful
breakfast wasn't included, the restaurant is extremely noisy so there isn't much quiet time, unless you're in your room.
the bathroom is part of the restaurant so when you shower, anyone using the restaurant can just walk in.
4.1
Everything was pretty much fine. The common area is large and I was pleasantly surprised to find that most of the seats in the upper floor were free of excessive noise pollution. Bed was okay and there were individual lockers. Staff are friendly and run a restaurant which I believe is open 24h. Kitchen has 3 fridges. Located along the main road.
Only major complaint is that their credit card reader wasnt working and because of that, I was forced to pay in cash which incurred additional taxes. I'm pretty sure thats not how its supposed to work. Customers should not be penalized for a fault of the establishment.
4.1
“Clean” is not a word that is used at this hostel. the floors were always dirty, plates were always just left on the tables, the tables were never wiped, the facilities in the kitchen were disgusting, toilets never worked, mould in the showers. I got sick from being in the hostel because of how unclean it is.
