Cheap, walkable distance to the bus terminal, main street and beginning of trek paths
Bunk beds were dangerous, not ladder to climb up and it was moving terribly. 6-dorm room was way to small, no space to put our bags. Showers weren’t great ans staff didnt speak English

Location is perfect. Hosts are very kind. The shower is hot 🤩

The staff were so nice and accommodating! Great kitchen with a big common area that made it easy to meet new friends. The room was clean and spacious. Amazing location as well :)
The upstairs bathroom just needs to be fixed because the shower and toilet handles are both broken and not the easiest to use. Also wifi isn't very good but that seems to be everywhere in El Chalten! Not just this hostel.

Fortunately it wasn’t expensive.
Very disappointed, couldn’t feel well at all in this hostel, bathroom not clean, with very strong smell … forget my towel there, I wanted to pick up the next day, never answered my messages, just read it and didn’t even try to check in the room.

Spacious dorm, nice hosts, clean, excellent hot showers
mattress was a bit old, the dorms next to the kitchen get a lot a kitchen ‘smells’

Well located
Lockers
Kitchen
Not easy to access the upper beds
Noisy
Not all staff super nice

Close to the busstation
Disappointing.... Just 1 (!!) toilet and 1 (!!) shower for the entire floor... And they were in the same space. So with a fully booked hostel it was ofcourse constantly occupied. The lady behind the desk was more interested in her phone then in her guests or her job. Also very noisy! And you have to make your own bed. Glad I only booked one night

Nice ambience, nice kitchen, nice guy at front desk. Good beds. Nice temperature inside. Close bij City center. Good wifi
No power sockets at bed, no night lamps at bed, only very white curtain, which lets through a lot of light

Denise was very helpful.
Nothing really for the price.

Beds are comfortable.
Room had private bathroom (not all of them do)..
Location is good.
Wifi doesn't work in rooms!
Was no allowed to sit with a friend that came to town in the lobby (even just to talk).

location and staff are wonderful

Really nice staff. We got late because of our bus and owner was really considering about it. Good location, near from city center
We had a little difficulty finding the place in the night because of Google Maps. But that's Google maps fault.

- Staff. Everybody is friendly and trying to help you, really great people
- Cleanliness. I saw 2-3 really thorough cleaning sessions per day. The bathroom and kitchen are always clean and look nice
- Location. About 5 minutes to the main (and almost the only one street), about 10 minutes from the bus station
- The view. You can see Fitz Roy from the window of the dorm
- Bathroom. There's only one for two rooms with six people each, so it is sometimes crowded and you have to wait
- The kitchen doesn't have basic things like sugar, salt, tea, or coffee. You have to buy them or hope somebody left them in a free stuff box
- No hair dryer :(
- the Internet wasn't consistent, okay at best (but this seems to be the problem for the whole El Chalten)

This place is all you need in El Chalten! Romy and Pato are wonderful hosts. The rooms are impeccably clean, warm and cozy beds, plenty of hot water, good wifi, lovely breakfast. Location is great. After four nights camping in the mountains of Patagonia, we were dreaming about coming back here for a hot shower and rest.

It felt like a home to me. The beds were comfortable and the lockers had a good size. The showers were hot. everything was very clean. The staff is excellent and always tries to help. For me the Wifi was working really well. In the main area but also in my room/bed (I had however the bed closest to the chill area).
There is a cafe close by (Lo de Haydee) and its great! Especially the drinks (Frappes, Coffee, hot chocolate and Licuados (smoothie)). They have good Wifi and tables to sit.
Not enough bathrooms if the hostel is fully booked. Everything else is great

The other traveler
The facility is poor and staff is not very helpful

Friendly and helpful staff, clean hostel, good location

location
not the best atmosphere

The share space is really nice and cosy. Shower is great! WiFi works just fine in the common space wich is not always the case in El chalten.
The bed are small. Forget about the wifi in your room, would not work.
4.2
nothing
so many things! first of all the hideous facilities: the smell of dead body in the bathroom, the dirty room, the stains on the sheets, the walls that are pilling off and the rotten furniture. on top of it the walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear you neighbour snoring. and if this is not enough the staff is useless and rude.
4.2
cozy kitchen and shared living/dining room. good bathrooms, although there’s only 2.
the beds were loose and there’s no stairs to the up-bed, so is very annoying, and even dangerous, for everybody

The breakfast is great also the location is close to the bus station. The guys are amazing, always asking about things and offering for help and explanation about trekkings and el chalten
We didn't have kitchen to cook but the guys were very helpful giving us cutlery and other staff to prepare salads or sandwiches
