From the moment we arrived at L’Imperator Maison Albar we knew we had chosen the right hotel for our stay in Nimes. This is an EXCEPTIONAL 5-star hotel and has truly set the benchmark for luxury and hospitality. Every detail of our stay was meticulously catered to, making it a very memorable experience.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome from GM Romaric Blanvillain. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were shown around the beautiful facilities and on to our room by the charming Rievelinio.
The hotel combines class, elegance and warmth, with beautiful interior decor and clever use of space and architecture. The pool is heavenly - in fact there are two pools to choose from, an indoor pool next to the spa and an outdoor pool with plenty of sun loungers and peace and quiet. By the pool we were looked after by Quentin with an impressive level of courtesy and efficiency. Breakfast was wonderful (thanks to Natalie and Romane) and served in a calm setting, with the choice of indoor or outdoor seating.
What truly sets L’Imperator apart is the exceptional service provided by the team and the way they make guests feel. Many hotels try to be hospitable because that is their job, they are ‘paid to smile’, but the Albar staff are happy to be there and show genuine care for each guest- even remembering guests names when greeting them.
Special mention to the Hero’s Pierre and Benjamin, who both went above and beyond in their assistance and care. And the exceptional Fabien (so speedy) Tristan and Frederic, Kaoutar, Doriane, Karla, Clara, Maxime, Imrane, Sabah and Claire.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay. We have already re-booked to stay again…it is worth visiting Nimes just to stay at L’Imperator.

Rien. Vous êtes au top !

Accueil et gentillesse du personnel. Piscine intérieure. Dîner excellent à la brasserie.

I loved the warm welcome with an offered coffee and cocktail ! Loved how the service was excellent and really felt like I was in a 5 stars hotel ! Loved every little attention !
There was a small hick about one of the wardrobe which was stained but the other offered one was clean so i did not mention it to the hotel staff. The second little problem was the the private pool was open at 9 but they only lit the jacuzzi at 9:30 so I couldn’t really enjoy it before taking my train at 11. And the second little problematic is that the hamam was down but I’m positive that next time would be great !

From the arrival till the checkout, our experience was just fabulous.
Being welcome by Jerome, hotel Hotel manager personally, valet service, beautiful rooms and restaurant with a swimming pool outdoors, wonderful and attentive staff, especially impressed by the young staff which makes us hopeful for a great next generation hoteliers, excellent location with just a short walk to the old center - we will be back for sure!

The renovations are gorgeous. I do miss the Hemingway bar the way it was tho. The Spa is worth a visit and easy to access discreetly from the rooms. Pools are small but we got lucky and had the pool all to ourselves for 30 minutes or so at a time. Lots of great restaurants nearby if you don’t want to eat at the restaurant. Breakfast was okay on site but if your a light eater or in a hurry I’d skip it. Will happily return as we love Nîmes and this is a favorite splurge.

Nice bar and inner courtyard. Pleasant staff. Great location to visit Nîmes and enjoy the SPA, indoor pool, gastronomical restaurant etc.
Small room, pretty property but lacks charm. Great to visit the town in style but not made for us.

Perfect location, friendly attentive staff, good restaurant and bar, interesting stylish design

The location. Of the staff, only the bell boy was amigable.
The experience was not satisfactory. The bed during our first night was very bad. I complained early next morning and the official promise to work on that and that when i retunred in the afternoon, if we still were unsatisfied with the bed, she promise to change us to the same type of room, that is with balcony and view to the park.
When we came in the afternoon, we were not only unsatisfied with bed, but also the sheets had not been change . we demanded to change room, but they did not keep their promise: We were change to a room with no balcony, not view and bad odor.
Except for the bell boy, which was very nice, the other officials were not up to the standards of this kind of hotel.
We would definitively not Recommend this hotel.

Right in the city center. Valet parking. Beautiful big patio for breakfast and brasserie dinners. Staff very smiling and helpful. Excellent brasserie dinner. Beautiful room.
The “collector’s item” elevator gets stuck half of the time as people don’t close the door properly. Only a problem when you’re on the 3th floor and have bad knees 😉

Superb suite of rooms, with modern decorations. The central courtyard has great ambiance and the swimming pool is wonderful in hot weather. Excellent Michelin restaurant on site, one of the very best!
Breakfast was fairly perfunctory, we were served a set basket of pastries etc most of which we didn’t want. Other hotels at this level would typically offer such things as a buffet, or fresh local produce, or fresh fruit.

A beautiful place to stay. Calm and peaceful but close to the centre of the city. The staff were obliging and delightful.
We didn’t have breakfast because we like to find a nice cafe and soak up the ambiance. However, it was very expensive it would be great service if they provided something basic (a pastry/ bread) as part of the room price. It is an expensive place to stay.

Excellent location, good inner pool and outer pool. Silent room with garden view, with balcony. Very good bistrot.
The size of the room (Superior double) was not at all in line with the price in this type of luxury hotels. I could measure not more than 16sqm.
