This is an exceptional place, extraordinary, lavishly and tastefully decorated, very calm and right in the heart of the city. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It was a lovely B&B French provincial experience.

Maison Rousseau is charming, beautifully decorated, quiet and private with a pretty little garden courtyard.

This accomodation is a real gem in the city of Nimes! Very stylish with tons of sphere, beautiful spacious and comfortabel rooms and a luxurious breakfast. Staying at Maison Rousseau was an absolute pleasure!
Nothing, all perfect!

Beautiful, quirky building in the heart of Nimes. Matthieu is an excellent host who serves a fabulous breakfast in beautiful surroundings. He was very helpful even when our flight was massively delayed and we didn’t arrive until 1am! Gave us maps of the town and earmarked good places to eat and drink. Friendly and helpful, allowing us to hang around to wait for our taxi to leave at 7pm.
Nothing. It has all the charm and elegance you could want and the location is perfect.

Breakfast was average not enough to choose from?
You must be able to speak French as the host could barely speak English and you need to pay for your stay in cash or a French cheque

location was perfect in a quiet street very close to the centre of town
breakfast was very generous with delicious french breads, cake, pastries, jams and cheeses.
the bedroom was eccentric and fun
parking was a bonus.

The location and the decor was fantastic. The room was quirky and beautiful. The breakfast was also superb! If you want to stay sonewhere different to the usual chain hotels this is the place. A hidden gem!
Nothing. The host was great & very attentive.

beautifully bohemian furnishings, great location and lovely breakfast with great service

Eccentric, beautiful, the decor, courtyard and Lingus areas were wonderful. The host have great travel tips.
Just be aware you will have to reverse into the garage parking which has a rather tight entrance. We parked in the “Copule” shopping centre underground car park (entrance near the house).

The character of this place is incomparable. The owner/manager is lovely and welcoming (and patient with our efforts to communicate in French).
I enjoyed my stay, can't complain.

the establishment reminded me of a friend of mine's home; an artist obviously. If you are looking for a place out of the ordinary, but with a fantastic atomsphere, this is the right one. I enjoyed everything: breakfast, the furnishing and Mathieu's amiability. Highly recommended.
Frank.

Decorated by people who love to antique. Hard to find, even with GPS. Off the beaten path. Breakfast was excellent.
Sorry for the water, suggest hanging a shower curtain. Very small room, remove some furniture.

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous, situated near the centre of town. The whole place was very thoughtfully decorated and a pleasure to be in. Breakfast was wonderful. The owner was very kind and helpful.

Excellent breakfast and location. Host is very helpful with suggested places to eat and things to do. Interesting, eclectic decor and plenty of room in downstairs living area.
Room is sufficient size but furniture and decorations made it feel cramped and left little room to place our items. Also, very little closet space to hang clothes. We couldn't get wifi upstairs in our room, even after trying several times. No television up or downstairs, though we most likely wouldn't have used it anyway.

Right in the city centre, close to the historic monuments and museums, so perfect for sightseeing. The owners and staff were helpful and friendly; and they presented us with a very good continental breakfast every day.
The interior decor stands out - it is unique. There is much to see, and it is rather like an exercise in making great use of decorative objects. Many, many decorative objects.
Despite the location, it is quiet and the bed was comfy.
A big tip: if you are driving, expect your satnav to give you strange and/or incorrect instructions. By far the best way to drive into the garage is to approach it directly from Boulevard Gambetta, not Rue Graverol.
The bathroom was separated from our room with only a curtain, no door; and there was no stand-up shower (there was a handheld shower). And I've never been a fan of clear glass windows in toilet doors.
There were drawers, and a small hanging rail, but no wardrobe. And no TV.
Parking was great, but we were not expecting the 12 euro per day extra charge.

We loved Maison Rousseau for its unique character - beautiful, artfully and tastefully decorated rooms in a property of age and history. Whilst it is a super-centrally located venue, it was also wonderfully peaceful and quiet, and that, plus a big comfy bed made for a great couple of nights' sleep. Breakfast was lovely fresh bread (including gluten-free for me) and homemade jams. And the owner could not have been more welcoming or helpful including booking us a table at a nice restaurant on the Monday night. We hope to visit Nimes again on another occasion - a day didn't do it justice - and will stay again at Maison Rousseau like a shot!

Excellent breakfast! Very quiet location. Really comfy bed. Good restaurant recommendations by host.
Glass panels In toilet door inappropriate and unable to use the shower attachment over the bath without running the bath at the same time.

Quirky place with lots of knick-knacks, great central location, great breakfast.

This is such a charming amazing find. I had no idea how special this was going to be.
Amazing host , unbelievable decor , a breakfast just wow. Parking in the property & a 5 minute walk to les arènes.
I loved everything about this property. It’s more than 5 star. I can’t wait to go back again.

My husband, daughter and I stayed for two nights and felt so welcome thanks to the kind, warm and caring host. Our daughter absolutely adored her, it was so cute. The room and breakfast was very nice as well.
4.5
The building has been wholly updated, but the interior still has lots of the "old" character, very eclectic and totally interesting.
Matthew, the owner, is wonderful and very helpful.
The location is in easy walking distance to what we wanted to visit.
It was a very nice stay.
I have trouble walking. The stairs to the first floor has no banister. Matthew was kind enough to help me negotiate the stairs anyway. The stars are beautiful. A banister, though needed, would not look appropriate.

It is a fantastic setting with unique, antique and artsy decor everywhere! Breakfast was amazing. And the room was very comfortable. Our host was very helpful with information and provided safe and secure parking.

A delightful host, comfortable bedroom and bathroom, ideal location for walking to all sites in the city, excellent breakfast, garage for the car,
rien.
