The cabin was clean and super cozy. Enjoyed going to West Jefferson and shopping at the local shops.

The check-in check-out process was simple as can be with the family and dog(she loved it). Lovely home right off the river. There were a few minor things that caught our attention but all in all if we had the time we'd still be on the deck taking in the scenery. Thanks

Terrific cabin with lots of amenities and great location by the river. It was also nice to bring our dogs so if you are an animal lover we highly recommend this rental. Very convenient to Virginia Creeper Trail if you are interested in that activity but also perfect for quiet mountain time!

We enjoyed our mountain trip! This is a beautiful home with fun activities. River water was relaxing to listen to as you swing or rock on patios. Suggest you take one fan with you for lower bedroom without fan. Kitchen was spacious but oven door did not close tight. Hot tub was fabulous!

The cabin was perfect for our needs. The grounds were beautiful with a perfect setting!

The property was better than we expected by far. We went in expecting a typical mountain cabin with some maintenance and cleanliness issues but we were pleasantly surprised that this place looks brand new. Much better than the pictures show. Kitchen is well outfitted, beds are comfortable, furnishings are nice, view is fantastic, and the game room downstairs kept our teens occupied every evening. Great experience and we will be back.

I have vacationed for weeks at a time from the mountains to the shores and have never found a house that had a kitchen better stocked than this one. From dishwashing and laundry detergent to sharp knives and even spices, this house was quite accommodating. There were also games and puzzles galore for rainy days along with the pool table and dart board. Our family had a great time also playing horseshoes. The upper deck porch with its rockers gave us a wonderful place to gather for coffee every morning. However, the trek to the river is so steep that although the weather was superb for our two weeks, our whole family only gathered there twice - once to go tubing (which was a bit treacherous) and once just to sit by the river. It is the reason I gave accuracy of online listing only a 3 out of 5. Only one of us went down regularly to fish. He seemed to have a blast, catching six or more - three of which were big enough to cook. But he was the most agile of us. One of us fell the first time she tried to get in and that was it for her. It seemed to us that the poor access to the river was just plain inexcusable. A modicum of digging and work could easily remedy that situation. Four of us tubed down to the bridge - about 2 miles away. However the banks had trees that had fallen almost all the way across. This made tubing more work than fun. The communication by Four Seasons, once we arrived, was also poor. A crew of men showed up to service the hot tub unannounced. They didn't knock or anything. They just came to the tub while one of us was in it in his underwear! Indeed, it appeared that they were hoping to catch someone indisposed as they reported to us later that they had done just that. It was the same with the mower - he just showed up unannounced, and didn't let us know he was there. We ran outside to get some of our shoes off the lawn and a good thing we did. He ran over one of the yard lights spewing glass everywhere. the reason? He was looking at his phone while he zipped around the yard on his riding mower. Lastly, the owners have no place safe from animals to put trash cans. We found the cans in the laundry room. Our choice of storing them was either leave them there to stink the place up for two weeks or put them on the upper deck where animals could not get to them. We chose the deck. But by the second week, our favorite place to gather now stunk. I love the area but would not choose to stay here again.

Great time at this well maintained home on a private riverfront location. Very clean and well stocked. Family enjoyed the pool table, porches and fire pit. Great location for tubing and kayaking. Short drive to towns with great food and breweries. Be aware, extended stays require guests to carry own trash to local “convenience centers”.

Enjoyed listening to the sounds of the river. S'mores by the fire pit was fun.

This house was perfect for our getaway with friends. The kitchen was plenty large and was fully stocked with what we needed to make meals. The leftover spices from other guests came in handy. We took full advantage of the firepit, hot tub, pool table, and dart board. We were lucky to have great weather, but this house would have plenty of activities to keep the family busy if the weather was poor. It is a little steep as you head down to the river, but it didn't deter any of us from venturing down. We would definitely stay at this house again! I don't think the pictures do it justice!

One of our most memorable family trips. Beautiful house on an incredible river. The house was spotless when we arrived and we really appreciated the individually wrapped sheet sets. The kitchen is fully stocked and the separate downstairs living space worked perfectly for our teenagers. We fished all day and played family pool tournaments almost every night. We can’t wait to return next summer! Oh, and our dog loved the river too. Perfect rental experience. Thank you!

Nice cabin by the river. Well appointed and has everything you would need. The gas grill works great. Bring darts to throw and the pool table was nice. The master bath shower was really tight but overall, a cozy cabin. The firepit was a great location looking down on the river and the decks were awesome in the am, got a bit warm in the afternoon but amazing views of the sunset over the river. The river was up following rain and this stretch is the most "rapidy" of the 3 miles we kayaked down. That makes for great sounds, ok fishing and tougher swimming/kayaking when rough. The way down to the water is very very steep. Fridge took a while to get cold but then was very cold. Appointments could be updated some as the decor felt less like the mountains and more like grandmas - but was fine. Our biggest issue were thee bugs that found openings into the house. Tons of stink bugs - which aren't scary - but annoying.
