The multiple levels served our two families well. Everyone had their space to play and sleep. Our crew loved the fuseball table and hot tub. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch. Close enough to all the fun that the New River, West Jefferson area has to offer. We hiked Mount Jefferson, walked and ate in downtown West Jefferson, played in the creek at Lansing Creeper Trail Park, and finished at Zaloos tubing. All of that is within 20 mins of the house.
Was a very easy check in/out process. The binder was helpful and explained exactly what was needed from us.

We LOVED the cabin. It was very clean & comfortable. The only issue I had was that when I chose this property, it said it was wheelchair accessible (my Mom needs a chair). When we got there, Mom could not drive her chair into the house. It was left in the garage and my sons had to take her inside. Please make sure your listing is accurate for the next person needing wheelchair access.

If I were to build a mountain house, this would be a great plan to go by. This home was very spacious throughout & very good layout. We would recommend this place & would stay here again. Thanks!

The location of the house is fantastic, quiet but close enough to get to West Jefferson for shopping, cheese, Christmas trees, whatever you need. Love the layout of the house with the downstairs living space for children and the hot tub to admire the mountaintops! The views were fantastic with a beautiful sunrise every morning! The only thing is the carpets need cleaning/replaced upstairs and they need curtains to block out the sunlight, downstairs lights and view into the room from the lower level. Otherwise, great place and easy checkout.

The photos are true to the design and feel of the house. The kitchen was well appointed, the view marvelous, the hot tub functional, and the property management was helpful. We very much enjoyed walking on the road through the neighborhood, but access to the river is not at all easily available from the house. I would suggest to the owners that they improve the quantity and quality of the blankets.

A day before arrival a confirmed rental had well problems and could not guarantee water. They let us out of the contract without penalty.
Within a day we found this rental and enjoyed it tremendously. Great location,, great Mountain Views, super friendly owner neighbors.
The house could host a large family.with children easily. Master bedroom and bath are huuuuge.. But the white (!) carpet there needs cleaning badly.
It was enjoyable for the 2 of us and we‘d come back again

Overall we had a great time. It was perfect for our family of and our dog. The house was very nice and in a quiet location. The description made it seem that the river was close and accessible, but when we drove down to the river there was no way for us to get in the river with the dog and kids. Some of the furniture was torn, but the beds were comfortable. We would definitely return as it is very close to a lot of the places we enjoy going to around Jefferson.

Lodge was great! Area beautiful!! Hiking, sight seeing, rock and mushroom hunting and time in the creeks and river. The hot tub needed a bit more attention but everything else was good. Stay Blue Ridge agent Jerrita was on top of all our needs. So relaxing but so much more outdoors activities! Highly recommended!!

Beautiful county, beautiful city, everyone we met in NC was very friendly. The house was secluded, quiet, comfortable and large enough for a family. The only real issue we had was with the water. Over several days water pressure was an issue, and for at least two days we had very little water and it was dirty much of the time. The property manager was very responsive and did send someone out to fix the issue, but we had already been inconvenienced. I did inquire about possibly getting a discount for the time we were left with little, dirty water, was initially told they would get back with me, but then never responded on my next two attempts.
Other than the water, it was lovely and we enjoyed our time there. I highly recommend NC, and the Smokey Mountains.

Aside from the fact that the house is extremely out dated, "clean" silverware was crusted with old food, bedding had stains on it in almost every room, and there were only 2 knives in the whole kitchen. Pictures also made the yard look big, but for 10 people and 3 dogs, we didn't have space to do much of anything. If you think this property is close to the river, it's actually like 3/4 of a mile down a windy gravel hill.
We had a great time anyway, but were very disappointed in the quality of the house for how much we paid for it.

Was a GREAT stay! Clean and easy check in!

First off, we loved the place and location. It was exactly as described. Second, we have no ill will toward Stay Blue. We would stay with them both again. However, we could not get the management company by phone for the two weeks prior to our stay. Additionally, when we arrived at the cabin, after driving in the fog, the access code was wrong. The hot tub levels were also so low that a person sitting in it was covered to about her belly button, LOL. All said, we loved the place and did enjoy Stay Blue, but it could use some improvement. Would definitely stay with Stay Blue again.

Amazing location. Great house. We also got snow and had wonderful sledding with the kids!

The house was really nice. We loved the views and hot tub. The driveway was steep and hard to get up with the snow, but the rental company was accommodating and let us check in early and park at the bottom of the driveway if needed. We had everything we needed except could have used some extra blankets. There were sheets but we had to make the beds which was fine.

They were very helpful and responsive overall, and especially so when we found the wifi not working on our first arrival. The house is spacious, and was immaculately cleaned for our stay. It's in a wonderful location just a few minutes' walk down the hill to a lovely river. The view from the deck is spectacular. I would absolutely come back to this property in the future.
