Our family absolutely loved staying in this condo at the Shoshone condominium hotel for our ski trip to Big Sky. It is a lovely condo that is very clean and up to date and perfectly situated in Big Sky Mountain Village. It has everything you'll need including a complimentary ski valet in the basement. The views out the windows are amazing! It is a very short walk across the plaza to Ramcharger and Swift Current high speed lifts both of which have heated seats and blue bubble wind shields. Across the walkway is the "The Exchange" where there is shopping and food. We really enjoyed Westward Social for lunch with its excellent food and fun atmosphere. The Shoshone has a nice outdoor heated pool, hot tub and sauna which we enjoyed after skiing. The communication is excellent and the resort staff is pleasant and helpful. You will love your stay here.

Love staying at the Shoshone condos - very convenient winter or summer! We especially liked watching a BEAR cub from our balcony after sunset mosey around the parking lot next to the Stillwater condos! Condo had all that we needed - even options on how we could make coffee! Thanks for sharing your space!

All I can say is, I almost don’t want to give this condo such a great review because we would love to keep the secret all to ourselves. :) My husband and I came to Big Sky two years ago and decided we HAD to bring our son back to experience snowboarding here! What an amazing weekend of memories!! Ski Apres was soo fun! We were even able to watch the whole practice night from the warm comfort of our living room! Everything was spotless; the kitchen and bathrooms had everything you need. Pictures are exactly as they are in person. We will 100% be coming come.

Great location at Mountain Village. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy checkin process, and staff were very helpful - would recommend!

This condo was fantastic. Our family has two adults and four kids. Condo was clean and well organized. We cooked most of our meals and pretty much everything you need is there. The location is great—short walk to the lifts. Sweet pool/hot tub. Everything was super easy. Most important, unbelievable skiing.

Perfect location to restaurants and the ski lift. Property is exactly as depicted in the pictures. Everything you need for a ski vacation.

Great location, well stocked kitchen for home cooked meals or stopping in for lunch. Great pool and common areas. Hotel amenities are great, but some may just be for hotel guests.

Good size, excellent views, everything in good condition.
If you want to nitpick, I would recommend a non stick frying pan.

Wonderful experience
Everything was perfect. One change though that I didn’t like. No more boot and ski valet! That was disappointing.

Perfect Location, Comfortable Stay, and can't wait to come back!
All three beds were plenty comfy, just enough room for 4 close friends to shred the mountain all day and return home for a relaxing evening. All the amenities were exactly what we needed and allowed us to rest with no worries each day as we shredded this absolutely massive mountain from first chair to last chair every day!
Even though we cooked most nights, we also enjoyed the short walk to ScissorBills(locals spot) and Montana Jacks. We found live music each night with plenty of friendly faces to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend booking(far in advance) a dinner reservation at the Mountain Yurt for a memorable experience. All of this in walking distance from this wonderful condo.
I didn't have to ask much, because the condo was so well kept, but when I did the staff answered immediately and were very kind and candid when they did. Thank you for such a wonderful stay! If we ever come back to Big Sky, we are definitely staying here again. :)

Best ever condo!!
I spent 5 days in Big Sky at the Shoshone. The location was amazing as my grandson bikes the trails on the mountain & the views were spectacular! I normally come in the winter to ski, but summer was equally as beautiful! My son & his family live there in the meadow, so there was a lot of driving up & down the mountain, but it was wonderful & the condo made it easy to have company & enjoy all the amenities.

Good but could be great
This property is excellent. The rental company so so. Never could get them on the phone but could most times on email. A “maid” should up on our next to last day and came in when our 9 year old answered the door. She never asked if an adult was there ( my husband was in the other room but she didn’t. Know that). She wasn’t wearing a mask and then took all our toilet paper. No clue what that was all about. Also there was no tissues, bar soap or lotion in the bathrooms. Just a large half used bottle of shampoo and body shower gel. Again, starve for a rental. The kitchen was fully stocked and great. Pillows could be upgraded.

Amazing views and great location!
Big sky resort is a good 10+ minute drive from the center of big sky but it’s a gorgeous drive up the mountain and the resort area is it’s own little community. The condo is very clean and spacious and has incredible views. Well stocked kitchen and really nice condo overall. Building has a beautiful pool area And the resort amenities are a bit over priced but lots of options if you choose to partake (we did not).

The views are amazing!
When we go back to Big Sky, we will try to stay in this condo again. The views of the lifts and ski slopes are amazing! Loved the set-up of the condo - perfect for couple with kids. We wished the property manager would have sent email ahead of the day of our arrival with check-in instructions but once I reached out, she was very prompt with the response.

Beautiful apartment at Big Sky
We stayed in this apartment from the 24 January to the 2 February. We couldn't have been happier when we opened the door and saw the amazing views through the large windows in the lounge. Perfect location and beautiful apartment. Would love to return. Thank you - Suzanne Hollis

Big Sky Village
Getting check in info was weird. Got emails from 3 different organizations. VRBO, Big Sky Vacations and Blackstone Property Mngmt. When nobody gave us check in info I had to call an 800 number 2 days before arrival to get info. Had to leave a message. Was contacted the day before our arrival with check in instructions. Unit we rented was a corner unit as represented with good views. It just wasn't completely clean. When you pay a fat cleaning fee you expect better. Notified Blackstone group on our departure. Was told I should have said something upon our arrival. No discount whatsoever of a portion of the ridiculous cleaning fee we paid for a unit not clean. Don't expect a unit that's spic and span top to bottom.

Shoshone Condo - Big Sky Resort
We have stayed at this Condo complex and love it for the type of units they offer and location. We had a few complications with our reservation and communication with the property manager. Fortunately we were able to confirm all details and we were placed in a very nice unit. Our stay was perfect for The Rut Mountain Race.

NICE PROPERTY, BUT POOR CLEANLINESS
THE LOCATION AND FURNISHINGS IN THE PLACE WERE GREAT, BUT THE HOUSEKEEPING WAS POOR. THE FIREPLACE DID NOT WORK AND THE GLASS SCREEN WAS FILTHY. THE BEDROOM DRESSER LAMP DID NOT WORK CONSISTENTLY EVEN THOUGH THE BULB WAS NOT BURNED OUT, SOAP DISPENSERS IN THE SHOWERS WERE EMPTY, THE MASTER BATHROOM TOILET WOULD OFTEN CONTINUE TO RUN INTERMITTANTLY. ALSO, BOTH TOILET BOWLS WERE DIRTY. MID-WEEK, I CALLED FOR ADDITIONAL TOILET PAPER AND TO ENSURE THAT THE MANAGER KNEW OF THE NON-FUNCTIONAL FIREPLACE. I WAS TOLD THAT MAINTENANCE WOULD ADDRESS THE ISSUES, BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED. ALL THAT SAID, THE PLACE WAS NICE, WE JUST SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN REQUIRED TO CLEAN THE PLACE WHEN WE PAID A CLEANING FEE FOR THE RENTAL.

DIRTY!!! Sheets were not changed prior to arrival
We booked this condo because there was limited options in the village with a kitchen at a reasonable price for a weeklong ski vacation with the kids.
The good -
- Super convenient location, this condo is in Shoshone, which is connected to the Huntley lodge, which is right in the village. Getting the kids to ski school and access to the slopes was very easy
- Layout and 2 full bathrooms made the one bedroom very comfortable space-wise for a family of 4
- Great views from the unit
- Indoor hot-tub that links to the outdoor pool
- If you have a late departing flight, you can pay for 4:00pm check-out which was very useful
The Bad -
- The unit is fairly dirty, but the real issue is that the sheets hadn't been changed when we arrived. We got in fairly late and just wanted to get the kids in bed so they could be rested for ski school the next morning. When I pulled the comfortable back on the master bed, I noticed some body hairs on the sheets. After a more thorough investigation, found lots of hair all over the bed, which was really disgusting. Wish I could post pics. I called / texted management and they insisted the sheets were changed. Finally, they agreed to come and change it. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect clean sheets, but management didn't think so and wouldn't give a full or partial refund of the cleaning fee.
- Related to the poor housekeeping, the unit didn't have soap or shampoos when we arrived. When the property manager showed up to change the sheets, she did bring some with her
- In terms of service, the night manager couldn't have cared less about our issues. She simply told me they didn't know or weren't able to do anything. Luckily, I was able to reach the property manager to resolve the issues.
- Lack of responsiveness leading up to our stay. Completely unresponsive to any emails. My wife called repeatedly and finally got through after many tries and voice messages.
- Check-out procedure basically requires us to clean the unit. Dishes, wipe down counters and tables, etc. What's the cleaning fee for? Probably explains the dirtiness since they expect the guests to do most of the housekeeping.
- Parking is not convenient. Its outdoor, located through an underground tunnel and then you have to walk down a level. They didn't plow the lot and if we didn't have 4-wheel drive, I probably would not have gotten into a space. It's also very full.

Nice place - conveniently located.
Had an issue with a toilet overflowing as they are outdated so a slow and weak flush but the management took care of the problem right away.

Very comfortable unit and furnishings
Really enjoyed our weekend away, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Centrally located for mountain activities and short drive to dinner down at Lone Mountain Ranch. Blackstone was very interested in our travels to the resort and that we arrived safely. They encouraged us at every turn to reach out to them for any needs we may have during our stay. We really had none as the condo met our expectations.

We loved the condo! Beautiful view from any window.
Would have liked more restaurant choices here at mountain village. We drove to other locations to eat, although we did eat one time at Montana Jacks and the food was good.

It's all good............until it isn't.
Beware of this condo and Blackstone Management. The primary reason we rented this particular condo was because of the view. Upon arrival we saw that the picture window in this unit was completely fogged over and it stayed that way during our entire two week stay. So the view that we expected when we rented this unit, was ruined for our entire visit. Blackstone Management said repeatedly “there’s nothing that can be done.” And they meant it. Neither Blackstone Management nor the condo owner gave us any compensation for the diminished value of this condo. They offered us a 10% discount off another rental next year, but with crazy restrictions that made it virtually meaningless. Especially considering that just by booking early and booking for two weeks this year we got 10% off their advertised prices. And we ended up with a condo that REALLY wasn’t as advertised.
As VRBO renters we need to know that if for any reason a rental becomes not as described, the owner and management company will make it right. Don’t count on that happening at this VRBO rental - Shoshone 1962. That becomes important at any Shoshone condo because there’s been a lawsuit in process for years that has prohibited some much needed routine maintenance. The building is showing its age, and things are breaking that can impact your experience as a renter. The lawsuit has been settled, and things will slowly improve there, but for the foreseeable future – beware.
PS: The pic of Lone Peak (#17 of 21) is very misleading. You can’t get that view even in you smash your face against the picture window. There’s no way that was taken from this condo.

Incredible Views and a Beautiful Condo
When we arrived, we called Blackstone Property Management. A lovely lady met us and took us to the Condominium complex. She explained all of the amenities and showed us the pool, hot tub and sauna. The condo is a corner unit across from the ski hill and the view was stupendous! The condo was nicely decorated with high-end furnishings. There are two bathrooms, each having a shower. There was a Murphy bed that was very comfortable, as was the king-sized bed in the master bedroom. The kitchen was well-stocked. The condo was super clean. It felt like home. This is one of the best condos we have stayed in, in years. It is of the highest quality. You will be amazed and pleased if you book it.

Montana Trip
This was one of the best vacations our family has ever taken. The unit was very clean and it was just right for our family. We had great customer. We were able to do all the things we planned to do. Jake's horses was the best.

Beautiful condo!
We loved the location to everything. Lots of room for us to spread out, eat together and bop around the area. The ski locker was closed when we got there so we had to bring all our equipment upstairs which was a bit of a hassle but not a deal breaker. Staff was very helpful.

Beautiful condo, perfect location
This condo is a beautiful corner unit with views over the village plaza, down the valley and a partial view of Lone Mtn. It is a large airy, light-filled unit, quite a bit larger than other Shoshone condos I have stayed at. The Shoshone is perfect location, just steps away from the ski lifts. My kids love the large outdoor heated pool. We have been coming to Big Sky for years, and this was one of the nicest units we have stayed at!

Best ski vacation ever!
What a great condo and great overall experience! We stayed here over the Christmas holidays and had the absolute best time! The condo is well located; convenient to the slopes and great dining. We loved the hot pool, a great way to relax after a long day of skiing. The management team made everything easy for us and we really appreciated the keyless door entry (a small detail, I know, but it meant a lot to us). We have stayed at many ski resorts over the years, and this was by far our best experience.
