Robert was a great host. Home was perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

We were welcomed to a sparkling clean spacious house with a bottle of wine, organic fruit and vegetables and cut flowers. Enjoyed swimming, kayaking and stand up boarding from the property’s shore.

We enjoyed our stay even though we lost power on the last night there. But thankfully it was the last night!! Robert was very attentive to our needs and accessible. We are looking forward to going there again next year. The layout of the house was very useful for a large family.

We had a wonderful week. The house was huge, clean and in a beautiful spot. It was everything we were looking for in a family vacation with siblings. We swam, fished, boated , played games and enjoyed fires. We loved morning coffee looking out at the lake and sitting lakeside each evening. Robert was communicative and helpful. They also left a lovely welcome basket that was so appreciated. Such a great home and a wonderful week!

This house was very comfortable for our large brood of 9 people and 3 dogs. We had a lovely stay. We were so grateful for the functioning central air during the hot and muggy week we were there. The kitchen looks fairly recently updated and works fine. The property is gorgeous, located smack on the Canadian border and on beautiful Lake Champlain. We would suggest that Robert spends some TLC on the outside, seeing to rotting wood in decks, weeding, and removing broken slabs of concrete from the beach area.

This house was fantastic!!! Even better than we expected. I don't think the listing emphasizes how incredible the lake views are, from several rooms in the house. One of our requirements as a big family group of 11 is a dining table that seats us all, but big loud family meals. This house has that!! The whole house has plenty of space for everyone, a huge lower level for the kids AND the most comfy couches in the house. That level is also very very cool on a hot day.
We were able to rent kayaks from a local place that delivered them and picked them up. SO easy, and great to be able to go out on the boats anytime we wanted.
But even on a rainy day, plenty of space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. Also, the proximity to the Canadian border is amazing and really fun! The border patrl is LITERALLY at the top of the driveway! Took a day trip to Montreal and everyone had a great time. Bring your passports!!!
The owners are wonderful! SUPER responsive for all my little questions. Even checked in just to make sure we were having fun. Really lovely people.
We would definitely stay here again if we vacation in the area. Thanks Robert and Bob! (PS, the teenagers nicknamed you 'Bobert," and we expressed our communal gratitude to Bobert many times throughout the week. :-)

House was very big and comfortable. It also was the cleanest house my family ever stayed in. We went ice fishing and caught a bunch of pike and perch. Would recommend this house to anybody and definitely would stay again.

Perfect location!! Home has everything you could possibly need. Many spots to hang out. Sun room overlooking the lake and view from the master bed is amazing. Loved lounging on the sunroom chaise with my 7mo old grandson and cuddling with my grandpuppies. So close to Montréal too!

Hey! Robert’s house was a fun place to stay. The house is huge, decorations are really funky and cool, and the lakefront is really beautiful. It’s a cool part of the lake and good for boating. Plenty of space to comfortably sleep 12.
We had a blast and it’s a great value. Would book again.

We were a group of 9 adults and 3 dogs and had more than enough space for everyone to spread out. Rob and Bob were lovely hosts and quick to help with any issues we might have had. I would warn that there are lots of little decorations around the house so it might not be the best for very young children.
The yard was huge and felt very secluded and the beach was a nice small-stone beach and we spent most of our time on the back deck overlooking the yard/lake or at the beach/in the water. LOTS of fish and VT offers visitor fishing licenses so if you are so inclined, make sure you bring your gear.
Montreal, Burlington, and Plattsburgh are all within day trip range. Definitely bring your passports! And check out New Dye Tye Dye shop, owned by the hosts while you are there!

Three generations enjoyed a terrific week together. We had some rainy days which were perfect for game playing, cooking, and hanging out together. And then some sunny days to enjoy on the lake. We brought our own kayaks, inflatable tubes, and a paddle board which helped to add to the fun. House has everything you need and then some. Beds are super comfortable and there are essential three living rooms so everyone has a place to go to get some peace and quiet when needed. Our dog enjoyed the huge yard and we enjoyed lake views from three different locations in the house as well as from the deck. Robert was a superb host!

We (family, in-laws, and kids) had a fabulous time reconnecting at Robert and Bob's house! We could always reach out with questions if they arose. The check-in process was very easy and we appreciated the welcome gifts. We loved the privacy and peacefulness the house provided. Despite some iffy weather, we had a blast. If we needed to stay indoors, we enjoyed spreading out and playing games, napping, or just reading in one of the many areas there were to chill. The location on the lake is beautiful and just truly a serene place to take in nature and unplug. We hope to return in the future!

Everything about this property was perfect, for our family to gather, to celebrate Thanksgiving. Plenty of bedrooms, comfortable beds, ample linens, a perfectly clean house, and a fully stocked Kitchen all were just a part, of “everything we needed”. We loved the fireplace, the huge table for dining and playing games, the waterfront to watch the beautiful sunrise, and the geese coming and going. We even had a Bald Eagle sighting, and a few loons coming by, to visit briefly. Robert and Bob were quick to respond with answers, to a couple of quick questions, and they made check in and check out easier than ever. We will definitely stay again!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake house retreat. My brother got married ~1 mile from the rental. It was the perfect rental for us to be close to the wedding and enough rooms for our family. Robert was a wonderful host and answered all of our questions. He also had every detail covered with instructions.
Highly recommend!

Our family stayed at this property recently for a family reunion. It's located literally on the Canadian border (border crossing is near the driveway) and on Lake Champlain. We loved the house, plenty of room for us and the owners were very responsive to our needs. They also left some organic vegetables and wine which added an extra touch. It's a quiet location, we found plenty of things to do outside including a day trip to Montreal. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Vacation
The house and property were perfect for a week vacation with the whole extended family.
Quiet part of the lake but close enough for day trips to Burlington.
The fishing was amazing…. Caught the biggest bass of our lives.
Great local beer, wine and produce!

Great time with friends and family in a wonderful home!
We booked this property for our annual ice fishing trip. The winds were high but we still had a successful weekend catching pike and perch. Burlington is just under an hour south, making for a nice day trip. The house was wonderful. There were plenty of options for sleeping arrangements, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, and many areas of the house to sit and hang out. The sauna was great after spending hours out in the wind. Bob and Rob were very responsive and easy to contact. We had a great time and would recommend this property. 10/10.

Peaceful and relaxing
We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Spruce. Our Hosts Robert and Bob were great and we so enjoyed meeting them.
The house is so comfy and relaxing with beautiful view of Lake Champlain.
We did take the row boat out on the lake which was super nice to have a rowboat to use.
The yard has a firepit and loads of chairs to sit in either on the grass or deck.
Beds were very comfortable.. Lots of room to spread out and do your own thing or gather as a group.
We took a hike every morning at the trails in Missisquoi State Park, which is 6700 acres and can be seen across the lake from the house along with Jay Peak.
We hear a screech owl one night and a great horned owl two nights in a row from our bedroom window.
the sunrise and sunsets were beautiful along with big open sky and lots of stars.
Was nice to get away from the crowds and enjoy nature!
Thanks so much Robert and Bob, we really appreciate it and loved our stay!

Wonder Experience and Great Hosts
We had a great time. When we told them that the grill was not working we had a new one the next day. The owners exceeded my expectations which is a hard thing to do.

Our week on the Lake
Robert and Bob were excellent hosts. Our group of continued a tradition of staying on Lake Champlain was topped this year at their residence. The organic fresh produce and complementary wine were incredibly thoughtful touches to a clean, private, lake-side residence. The sauna was a great perk and refreshing start to a day on the water. Our group made memories for a lifetime.
10/10 would stay again and recommend.

Amazing week
My husband, our 4 kids, our dog and I had an amazing week at this beautiful property. There was so much space for us to all sprawl out. We enjoyed many hours fishing, swimming and just enjoying the view.
Robert was great! When the internet was out, he called the company immediately and found out it was an outage. We appreciated the prompt response.
Highly recommend this property for a peaceful vacation on
Lake Champlain!

Accommodating with a beautiful view.
We had a get together to celebrate our friends getting married later this year. The space was perfect for all of us to spend time together but also have time away when needed. Very much appreciated the full kitchen! The view from the back deck/yard was beautiful and it was easy to fish and kayak right from the beach. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Spruce Lakefront home. Everything was exactly as described in listing. The no contact check-in and out was very smooth. The property had great charm and the space was perfect for our extended family for a long weekend of ice fishing, lounging and watching the superbowl. Robert was wonderful to work with throughout the process, including helping us retrieve an item we inadvertently left while leaving the property. Thank you for everything. We would love to rent again!-Heather
