About this house rental
Wow, a beach vacation with the family, in a home that's as cute as this one is? This year, you're going to love your vacation!
This is the most beautiful house on Topsail! And it's right on the beach - not an 'ocean-view' a couple of blocks from the beach or across the street from the beach, or even a piano lot (with only a small strip that extends between the houses to the beach). Seas the Day is right on the beach and the house is gorgeous.
Now wait a minute...I bet you think I'm just saying that. Well look at what some of are guests have said (see the full comments below):
'The website does not do this house justice! It is gorgeous, and the views of the beach and water are amazing from every room. ' Bonnie from Va
'Seas the Day is one of the best vacation houses I have stayed in. ... You will not be disappointed if you rent this place' Norma Jean from Ohio
'I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a wonderful beach house that has one of the best vistas in Topsail.' Mark from Northern Va
'Loved that house!!!!!! oh my, the walk to the pier was wonderful and so pretty. the house was perfect and held my whole family! it was an awesome vacation! thank you so much! wonderful!' Jessica from Ohio
And it goes on. You will truly love your stay at Seas the Day.
Located just 1 mile south of the Surf City pier, you're close to all the activity, yet just far enough away to enjoy the tranquility that lives here also. As a matter of fact, you may note some of our guests jokingly refer to the 'Buddy's walk'. Buddy's is a bar/restaurant by the pier, which is a nice 1 mile walk on the beach. Some people, including my brother, myself and our two wives like to walk down to Buddy's at lunch time, watch the surfers by the pier, order oyster shooters, and... possibly a cerveza or two (that's Spanish for beer) and maybe a tequila shooter. Well, the walk back is now quite enjoyable. We often just come back, lay out a towel and catch some rays and a snooze. The Buddy's walk - a perfect way to spend a vacation day.
Do you like to bike or run? There is a bike shoulder on the main road the entire way from the north side of Surf City to the south tip of the island. The island is like 22 miles long, so you can get a good work out.
Recently I rode my bike to the south end, and the smell of Jasmin and ocean air was unbelievable. I stopped on the far south point of the island and walked around the beach on the undeveloped point. I then rode back to Topsail Beach city hall and said hi to the ladies who worked there. (They had kindly sent me an invitation to pay real estate tax in their city even though my house was in Surf City. I graciously declined :-) but they were very pleasant.) I then rode back to Surf City and promptly bought an ice cream cone by the pier just to make sure I hadn't burnt off too many calories.
Believe me, this place is fun.
And I haven't even told you about Daddy Mac's on-the-beach sea food, Shuckin' Shack with it's oysters, or about Sears Landing and its award winning clam chowder made with sherry, or Bouchaines 211 - the best restaurant overlooking the sound that you will ever find. Oh, and how about the fresh fish market (I mean right off the boat) behind the Crab Pot where you can get shrimp, flounder, shark or whatever they have been catching and take it back and grill it at Seas the Day.
You can play 18 holes at Coastal Carolina's only four-star golf course, North Shore Golf and Ocean Club (as per Golf Digest).
Surf shops that make me wish I was 18 again, 55 Burgers and Shakes, the Daily Grind coffee and wine bar and on and on. The wine bar is called unWINEd. The owner, Jeremy, is a friend of mine. Tell him Steve Morrison sent you. He'll take good care of you. You won't want to leave.
And I haven't even talked about surf fishing, kayaking, surfing, jet skiing and more (check out the Boat Rental picture I included if you want to rent a boat or jet-ski)
My teenage son once walked up the stairs to the living room and said 'This place just makes you smile!'
I still think OUR GUESTS SAY IT BEST:
'We loved the outside shower, complete wtih room for dry clothes and towels! Very kid friendly, my 13-month-old niece could wander around and the gates kept her safe. Topsail itself is so peaceful. We went to the sound side a few times to fish, canoe, and take the baby swimming. We golfed, ran, sailed (you have very nice neighbors who invited us!), and fished from the surf (caught sharks, stingrays, and a few fish). Such a great house -- plenty of space, well decorated, and everything you need in the kitchen for eating in!' Bonnie VA
Jim M from GA agrees wholeheartedly:
'My sister and I are both recently retired school teachers. For over 25 years we have talked about renting a beach house on the North Carolina coast, big enough to house all of our families. ... This house was everything we had dreamed about. It was RIGHT ON THE WATER,...
'Setting on our porch, we could watch the sun rise each morning. In the evening we could drive to the end of the island and watch the sun sink into the ocean....I bought 5 kites and one day we all spent the day flying them. ... We enjoyed the secluded walks on the beach and the discovery of hundreds of sea shells. We saw dolphins swimming by several times. The only regret we had, was that we couldn't stay for another week.'
BEDROOM SETUP: Top floor: QB & Full Bath. (There is also a QSS but it's right in the middle of the living room. I don't recommend it); Middle floor: KB, QB, 2BB (i.e. 4 beds), and BB with 2 Full Baths. There is a deck on both floors and there is an enclosed outdoor shower on the deck of the middle floor. The bottom floor has 2 full car garage, grill, and storage space.

Had a lovely stay. Home was very clean and great condition. Great location

This is the perfect house for you and your family. A perfect view to watch sunrise with coffee. And the prefect way to finish off your day in the evening with wine. I could have slept on the back porch. The bed’s were very comfortable, we all slept very well. Stephen the owner is very nice and responds quickly. I would totally recommend this home to everyone !!!!

Steve is a great host and responded quickly to every communication. We loved the house and location so much, we are under contract at a house further down the beach! This house would be great for large groups, we had all we needed upstairs and stayed in the bedroom up there. The restaurants recommendations were excellent and reasonable. The porch and the chairs overlooking the crystal blue water is just magical and not something you see at South Caroline beaches. We saw many bait fish balls with dolphins swimming all around them. I recommend meeting William (the bartender) at the Beach Shop and Grill! Great time, so stop looking and rent it now!

This is our 4th time staying at this home. We always meet friends there and this is one of our favorite locations to vacation together. The hosts and the house are top notched!

The house is a single home, it was very clean. Located in a good spot for shopping and restaurants. Was very spacious, enough-room for the 8 of us to spread out. Beds were comfy, no complaints. Plenty of stuff in the kitchen. Only thing I can say as a negative is you have to make up the beds yourself. They have a service that leaves sheets and towels by the outside door wrapped individually in plastic and directions with what color sheets goes with which bed. Wasn’t a fan, but you knew that the sheets were clean. I was disappointed that there were no beach towels. We flew in so didn’t bring any. Had to call my daughter that was driving in from Pittsburgh to bring some.I would recommend the house for the location and the cleanliness. Also there is plenty of parking in the driveway.

The house was as described and as shown in the pictures. The owner, Steven, was very kind and communicative. Loved the space to spread out. The kids bunk room was surprisingly spacious which the 3 teen boys loved - plenty of space for sleeping plus sitting and playing video games on their large screen TV. The living area was very comfortable and loved the ocean views. The kitchen table was awesome for group breakfast and dinner as well as playing games.
The best part of our vacation was the location. Our area was quiet and we had plenty of privacy. Plenty of space to walk our dog on the street. And it was the perfect distance from downtown Surf City. The boys loved having the freedom to walk up for Hot Diggity Dogz for lunch and heading to the IGA for drinks. My husband and I walked up one day and stopped off at Daybreak Donuts for a specialty donut (LOVE the Margarita one), then we walked over to Shaka Tacos for lunch and listened to live music. After we headed to Celtic Creamery for an ice cream cone.
Ocean water was still cold but we enjoyed playing on the beach. Best part of staying Oceanfront is that you can hop onto the beach at any time.
We've been going to Topsail every year for the past 10 years and this was one of our favorite places. In fact we've already booked for next year!

We had a great time at this property. Direct beach access with 2 large decks to lounge on after a day at the beach. The outdoor shower was convenient to wash off sand before going back inside. Less than a mile from the shops and restaurants of Surf City. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed here a few times now for girls weekend and really enjoy the place.

This was our second stay at Seas the Day and we were as happy as the first time. Everything was perfect!

Wonderful time with my adult kids. The house and location was perfect for our mini vacation. Our family dog loved the beach

The main floor view is everything! We celebrated our anniversary with family and friends in this wonderful house. Plenty of room for all, even the dogs. Easy access to a great beach. And Steve, the owner is available for any questions. Our family is already asking about next year.

2nd time staying here and we really enjoyed the house. It is not the height of luxury but has most everything you could want. New this year for us was the beds were not made up, we had to sort through boxes of linens and figure out what went with what size bed. Not a big deal but be prepared.
We love this beach this time of year so highly recommend.

We had another great vacation at Seas the Day!! Our growing family always has a fantastic week!! This is by far the best family vacation for our family... ranging in age from one to 62. Very comfortable home for all and owner is welcoming and quickly answers any questions.

The location and amenities provided exactly what was needed for perfect beachfront mornings, lazy afternoons, and fun in the surf. Everything was as described, and communications were excellent. It was a great trip.

Since we had small children, we particularly enjoyed the fact that the beach was just down a board walk and flight of stairs. There was plenty of room for everyone. One burner was particularly hot and we were able to prepare a shrimp boil in a very large pot! It only rained one day, but it was wonderful to sit in the living area and watch the waves and storm. I'd go back.

We loved our stay! Even more lovely than in the pictures! Home was clean and well cared for! Had everything we needed for a wonderful week at the beach! Would definitely stay here again!

Property was perfect! Perfect location to EVERYTHING!

Overall a very nice house and perfect location.....did have ceiling/windows water leak during storm but owner very responsive to addressing right away. Nice layout for children to be together or even separate with the laundry room having a set of bunk beds. Only thing I could suggest is maybe invest in some additional food storage containers for left-overs (like from the Dollar store). Would highly recommend and may try to book again for next year.

We had a great time, loved the layout and living space. Only downfall is getting to the beach. You have yo go down a deep sand dune. I have a spinal injury and having my walking sticks we helpful.

The house was well appointed, great location with beautiful views. Tidal pools were great for young children.
4.8
Wonderful beach property that was ideal for an extended family outing.
4.8
Clean, well furnished and we loved the deck chairs.

We came to visit our Marine for his birthday and were able to bring two of our dogs to visit too. We loved, loved, loved this property - great location and perfect size for our family. If it were available again this summer we would definitely go back! The location is great and you just can't beat the view. This was our first stay in Surf City but it definitely won't be our last.
4.8
Amazing home right on the beach and if you don’t feel like putting your feet in the sand, the views from the deck are just as excellent. Large, comfy home with plenty of room for multiple generations and family pet. We would definitely stay here again!
4.8
Great house right on the beach. We had an amazing vacation at Seas the day. Large house with everything you need, close to everything there is to do!
4.8
Very nice home directly on the beach. Spacious and bright with lots of light and ocean view. House had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Will return to this spot.
4.8
We had our college-aged kids together with us for Christmas. They went to high school in the area before we moved away and it felt like a homecoming. Everything we needed to cook and serve Christmas meals was available in the kitchen. Great location!
4.8
Excellent space for large group- big table for dining and living room/porch for sitting. Steve was an excellent communicator. We had 4 adults in their 30s and 3 in their 50-70s, a couple of dogs and still had space to host other family for Thanksgiving. Would absolutely stay here again!!
Just to note- there is a good amount of stairs (to get to the bottom floor from outside there’s about 20 stairs, then from the bottom floor where 3 of the 4 bedrooms are to the main floor there’s another set)- so just take this into account if you have people with you who have difficulty with this. There is a bed and bath on the main floor where they wouldn’t have to go up and down as much! This would not stop us from staying here again as the place is a great size and can’t beat the value.
4.8
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Seas the Day. We had a mix of three families with kids aged 1-8. The house was roomy enough to fit all of us. The beach is just steps away and that was everyone's favorite part. The neighborhood was quiet and we has no issues checking in or out. All around we had a wonderful vacation. We'd love to come back again.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend a couple of things:
That the owner provide small bottles of shampoo and body wash (like you find in hotels) in the bathrooms. That was not a big deal but would be a nice amenity. Also, the ice maker was producing ice that appeared to have mold in it. Other than that, everything was great. We would recommend this house to others.
4.8
Loved the location, loved the layout of the house, loved the view. Ready to go back.
4.8
We have stayed at this property 2 years in a row it is perfect for our family. Has everything you need, right on the beach! The pictures don't do it justice it's so much nicer!
4.8
A place to stay. I realize it’s pet friendly. But when there is dog hair all over the sheets and bedspread. That is not acceptable to me. We washed bed clothes at midnight, the night we got there. We wouldn’t even let our dog on the furniture without us putting our blanket on the chair that he used.
4.8
We loved the location of the house, out of commercial area and on the beach. It could not have been any better. My MIL said she “had the best day of my life”. That says it all!!
4.8
The location was great!! Loved the deck. Did lots of painting while there. Could see the beach and family fishing from the new large picnic table. The owner was very responsive all the way thru booking to check out. Woujd recommend without hesitate.
