My wife and I stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. New comfortable carpet in LR/DR area and on stairs, new kitchen - beautiful and functional. When I looked at pictures I thought with the yellow walls that it might be outdated, but it was really a pleasant yellow and a great place. You could see the ocean a tad from the corner of the sofa (as you look out the porch to the left). Pool and ambiance with large live oak and other smaller live oak trees was a neat contrast to the starkness sometimes of the common areas of other places at Wild Dunes. The bedroom is upstairs, but that wasn't inconvenient for us. Shower, draining, toilet - all were fine. I saw some reviews that seemed a bit negative, so I was a little curious as to what we'd have. We've stayed at a lot of places in Wild Dunes, and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a nice time. The condo NEEDS IMMEDIATE attention to the electrical outlets. Not one, but ALL. They do not hold the plug in the outlet and sometimes they "spark". This is a very inexpensive fix that should have already been done. It is sad to think that you charge so much and that is definitely a problem.

Mariners walk 2A was fine for younger couple but not for seniors! First of all we were under the impression that this unit was oceanfront. It was actually off to the side with no ocean view. We were not aware that the only bathroom was upstairs and for a senior couple that was very difficult. The drain in the tub was clogged with hair and the lightbulbs in the bathroom went out during our stay. Also the bed linens should feel new, like we are the first to sleep on them. We would not rent this unit again.

We had an easy go of access combined with privacy and comfort during our stay. Pool access was easy with beach access right around the corner. Our only issue was that the dryer in the unit was ineffective. We just dealt with it rather than have ot tended to over our short stay. This was a lovely condominium with every necessity covered. First the good... everyone at Island Realty was excellent and they were very easy to work with. The property is in a great location and the grounds and pool are beautiful, there is very easy beach access. As for the unit itself it was clean and generally has everything you need. However the bed is beyond terrible, if not for taking our own mattress pad and sheets i don't know if we could have slept in it. One side of the bed is significantly lower than the other and whole thing is uncomfortable at best. We stayed at the unit about 10 years ago and it appears that nothing except carpet has been updated. Even though it is clean it really doesn't appear so in places because of this lack of updating. At least a coat of paint would make the unit look better, the walls are marked and scuffed, it appears unpainted since our last stay a decade ago! Bedroom needs some type of window treatment, without any drapes you are up with the sun whether you want to be or not. Bathroom floor is coming apart and the bathroom needs updated badly. We will use Island Realty again and even stay at Mariners Walk but NOT 4B until it is fixed up.

We had a wonderful time in the Isle of Palms. Mariners Walk 4B was a fantastic spot for us. Close to the ocean but calm and quiet. We basically had the beach to ourselves. The condo was clean and had a nice layout. You couldn't hear the neighbors through the walls so that was a bonus. The only thing that really needing addressing were the air intake outside the bathroom and the bathroom vent. Both were unbelievably dusty. Otherwise, everything was clean and in working order. We would happily rent Mariners Walk 4B again in the future.

Minutes and the bed literally woke me up. My wife commented that I was sunk down probably 4 inches.I weigh about 220 and fairly lean. My husband and I rented this condo for a 3 night stay. The property location is a quick walk to the beach with a view of the pool. I do love how these condos have stairs off the screened in porch so 2 ways in and out. However, I can't imagine sitting on our screened porch there is no ceiling fan, so it would be super hot. The good points of the condo, it was cleaned very well. The appliances in kitchen were new and nice, no complaints about the kitchen, we did not cook any meals. The air condition worked so well it was almost to cold and we kept turning it up. Wifi also was fast, I downloaded several tv shows for the trip home and it worked really well. The cons, the whole condo is in need of a paint job, carpet was clean but really who wants carpet with sand etc--yuck. We had one garbage bag for the condo and no washing machine soap, there were samples left for the dishwasher. There were no beach chairs/boogie board etc. We did come prepared with our own chairs. But it is weird to me that most of the condos that we have stayed in at Wild Dunes do not provide these things. I have rented condos in Florida/Calif./Hawaii and the Caribbean and beach chairs and toys seem to be standard. The bathroom upstairs was really dated and the sink area so small. But my biggest complaint is the mattress, it is awful, so soft, it just felt like someone's old mattress. The sheets also did not fit right and the sheets and mattress pad would bunch up in the middle of the bed and pull away from the sides. I dreaded going to sleep at night. I would not book this condo again, I can overlook everything but the terrible mattress. Part of vacation is getting some good rest and that certainly didn't happen.
