Beautiful property and you couldn’t ask for better hospitality!

We were welcomed with a plate of cookies and jazz music playing on the TV. The hosts were friendly and provided us with helpful information about the area. We were disappointed in the river as it was low due to recent drought but we were still able to catch a catfish during our trip. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The grounds around the property are well maintained with many plants to enjoy and paths to walk. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great place to find it,

Very peaceful and beautiful place in a wonderful location. We absolutely loved the moss walkways into the garden areas, the large wrap around deck as well as the beautiful home wrapped with large picture windows!! The hosts were amazing and thought of everything and even had fresh baked cookies she made for us upon our arrival. We highly recommend this rental as it is one of the best in our book!!

The property is beautiful and the glass house is so clean! We thought Mena had multiple antique shops and restaurants but many were closed. The creek at Glass house is very pretty and the moss paths add an enchanting feeling. The hosts are very responsive people who baked cookies and left fresh flowers for us which was an amazing touch❤️

This place was amazing! The view will blow you away. The entire back side of the house is windows, allowing you to view the river the house sits on anytime you want. Or you can sit on the deck, lay on the hammock, listen to music and relax to the sounds of the river and nature around you. We'll definitely be going back

The Glass House Retreat was a perfect place to spend our full solar eclipse trip. While many hosts of rentals canceled and forced a rebook at higher rates during this event, this couple held true to their word and we never had that problem. Roland and Becky have paid attention to every detail. We were greeted with fresh homemade cookies and they came over to introduce themselves when we arrived. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and you can see the hard work they have put into the place. Bring your fishing pole, there are fish in the creek next to the house and yes, I caught some perch from the deck! We appreciated how well stocked everything was. If you forget something, they are bound to have it already there. We also loved the visits from their sweet dogs.
We would definitely recommend this place and plan to be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Glass House Retreat. Upon our arrival the house was very clean and inviting. After our long drive, it felt just like coming home. The grounds/gardens are immaculate. Flowers and trees were in bloom. After a short, exploring walk along the river, the fragrance of the flowers welcomed me back as it drifted on the spring breeze. We visited/hiked several State and National parks. Attended a wonderful Sunday service. Went on a guided fishing trip and caught over 70lbs of striped bass. We also fished the river at the house and the adjacent reservoir. Had good luck both places. Our hosts Rolland and Becky are so nice and helpful. The beds are comfy, and they had plenty of items available for those little things you may have forgotten. We were so pleased with the Glass House Retreat. They really put their heart into providing a beautiful and relaxing home for our stay.

We were welcomed by a cozy home decorated for Christmas just off the picturesque edge of the creek/river. House information was labeled clearly (DVD closet, filtered water, bedding, trash bag cabinet, cookie sheets, etc.) so we were able to navigate the house at our leisure. Property owners were concerned that we were comfortable and felt welcome to use the property while respecting our privacy. We usually get away for the holidays so we can recharge and focus on each other, and the kids already voted to come back next year as we have so many unexplored trails! Thank you!

Our family traveled to Mena for a quiet peaceful Thanksgiving and we found that and more! Roland's and Becky's cabin is wonderful. Impeccably clean, well stocked, beautiful location, comfortable furnishings, quiet, private and so much more! One of our favorite events while there were the visits from Gunner and Reeses, who are their dogs. They were the best without being intrusive or bothersome. It was always a treat to look out one of the huge windows and see them grinning back at you. They made being away from our own pets more bearable.
In all seriousness, if I had to think of something else our hosts could have done to increase the quality of our stay, I am unable to do so.
As far as technology is concerned the cabin includes a large tv in the living area with a nice selection of channels from DirectTV. We also had no problems hot- spotting the internet from our phones.
You will not make a mistake in reserving this cabin and getting to meet the wonderful hosts. I can't wait until we can go back!
Thank you for a fabulous time Roland and Becky!

Relaxing, peaceful, dog friendly, where Mattie had lots of freedom to explore. For us, the views of nature were the best. Just what we needed for a recharge... away from the noises of the big city.

The owners, Roland and Becky, made this property 100% better than perfect! Wonderful hosts, professional, friendly, kind! The property is secure, well decorated and located right by the river. Quiet, but close enough to town amenities! Cookies and welcome/congratulatory anniversary tidings were well received! Will definitely stay again! Thank you!

The property was very peaceful and the owners were super sweet. They greeted us upon arrival and helped us with area information. The home was completely furnished to meet every need. Fire wood was even provided should we need it. Bedding was comfortable and home was quiet. The drive to the home via backroads was beautiful and my favorite part about the whole experience. I can’t think of anything I’d suggest as they’ve thought of it all!

The Glass House Retreat has it all, from the fishing and whimsical garden paths to the wonderful deck and well stocked kitchen. My husband and I so enjoyed our stay. Roland and Becky were great hosts and we loved having their two black labs visit us each day. The property is well maintained, the house is very neat and very clean with nice seasonal decorations to add a homey feel. The home-baked cookies and fresh flowers were a nice surprise. We are planning our next trip to this great getaway and can’t wait to go back.

We were looking for a place to spend our 40th wedding anniversary where we could relax and do a little fishing. Roland and Becky made our week everything we had dreamed of.
The house was very well kept and roomy and
stocked with anything that was needed, and town was close by, so we could easily get groceries, or just eat out as well when we didn't feel like cooking. The Master Bed was very comfortable. The only thing I missed was my bathtub :) but it was just for a week, so I survived.
We brought our SXS for riding trails and to and from the nearby lake, and also bought some kayaks so we could go to the nearby Ouachita River and the Lake.
Becky has done a beautiful job on the landscaping, I couldn't get over the mossy trails that lead to the sitting area and the creek behind the house. I could have stayed there all day and been perfectly content. I wish I could have packed it into my suitcase when I had to come back to the real world. We couldn't have asked for any more perfect couple to visit with, I wish we hadn't been so busy that we could have visited more. :)
You have a little piece of heaven within driving distance, and I hope that when we get a chance to get away, we are able to come spend it at the Glass House again.
Thanks for being such awesome hosts, and thanks for the fresh baked cookies, and the effort you put into making our 40th a memory we won't forget.
We also enjoyed the little visits from your two precious dogs.

We were looking for something quiet and relaxing and found just that. Upon arrival there was a sign and fresh baked cookies welcoming our family. The property is well maintained, very clean and inviting. We brought our dog and she had pleasant interaction with the Otts two sweet dogs that were on property. Due to drought the water was a little low for much fishing from the deck but we were able to catch 5 different species one afternoon at the spot marked “bass hole”. Overall a peaceful pleasant stay, will stay longer the next time.

The glass house is comfortable, well appointed, and offers fabulous views of the surrounding property. The property is huge and includes wooded areas, a huge beautifully manicured lawn, a large creek/small river, and moss covered paths. In addition, coming from Dallas in early September, the cooler weather at the glass house was a welcome change that allowed us to enjoy being outside.
The owners Becky and Roland are very accommodating and a friendly. We had a fantastic, relaxing weekend and will definitely return, but hope to stay longer next time.

What a wonderful and relaxing time my husband, I, and another couple had during our 10 days at the Glass House Retreat. Part of the country roads were bumpy but nothing unmanageable. Fishing was fun. I will catch the big guy the next time I am there.
The property is calm, almost everything you need is already there, the grounds are amazing.
Outside was very hot but inside was very comfortable. I can’t sleep in heat and I slept serenely.
The owners were extremely nice and helpful.
If you like the description, you will love the property.

We were looking for a place to getaway for the weekend and this checked all the boxes. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need and would think of. The hosts are available for any questions you have. The scenery is amazing and it’s a great place to relax and decompress for a few days.

It was a precious time of peace and quiet, beautiful views, lovely companionship. My only regret was not being in a healthy enough place, physically, to be able to enjoy the grounds. There were some nature trails calling out to me but I couldn't answer, lololol

We had such a nice stay at the Glass House! It was great to be away from the hustle and bustle of the real world and spend a few days surrounded by nature. Becky and Roland have a little slice of heaven and are so wonderful to share it with others, the perfect hosts! The house has everything you need and more. If you want a great get-a-way, this is it! ...and yes, you will catch fish from the deck!!

My family absolutely loved the glass house retreat. It was so relaxing just sitting on the deck listening to the river and nature. The owners were extremely nice and quickly responded to any questions we had. Let's not forget the two sweet dogs that would come through now and then just to say hello or see how your fishing is going.

From the very beginning we were excited, but I promise the pictures do not do this slice of paradise justice. The entire property is meticulously maintained and an absolute labor of love for Becky, we were blown away everyday with the little touches that makes the glass house retreat its own destination. The house is tastefully put together and gives you an instant “at home” feeling as soon as you walk in. The owners are very intentional about making your stay as peaceful and serene as possible. If you’re even considering a trip to the central Arkansas area do yourself a favor and book it now… Y’all stay Blessed and we’ll see ya soon! The McGrath FamBam!

I cannot say enough about Roland and Becky's hospitality.
It is evident they are constant about keeping this place presentable and comfortable. It is not just a getaway cabin. For me it was like going home to Grandma's. My cousin and a close friend met me there. It was their first time for a vacation like this and they both called home to tell the wives about it. And both promised to bring their families back.
Thanks Roland and Becky!!!

The Glass House Retreat was a lovely place to stay at while we explored Mena. It was well kept and in a beautiful /secluded location. I would recommend staying there. They have everything you could need. One recommendation I have to people visiting Mena and exploring the National Forest is to rent an ATV if you don't own a truck. We didn't realize we could do that until we were about to leave. We weren't sure if my little Honda Fit would make it across the rugged roads.

The owners put a lot of time and care in this property. It’s a nice home. So many personal touches such as baked cookies for guests up to mints on your pillow. My husband and I stayed here to view the sights and were beyond pleased. Will definitely stay here again
