Fantastic place. Would stay there again.

The unit was as beautiful as described & shown online, and was better stocked than May others we’ve experienced. With its two master suites, it was perfect for our group of two couples. The owners didn’t skimp on anything and made communications clear & easy.
Well done! We’d happily rent this property again :)

We had 8 adults on a motorcycle ride weekend. The apartment fit all 8 of us comfortably. There are two rooms with queen (maybe king?) sized beds, another with a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and single on top. Along with a pullout couch, and two rollaway beds/cots.
This is our second stay at this host's properties, and I would not hesitate to stay there again!
Thanks Thomas!

I came to the LaSalle, IL area with my older parents and brother for a family trip with some hiking and history. We chose the historic loft for something a little different and it did not disappoint. The location to everything we had planned was central with easy access to neighboring towns and parks. We were literally steps from the famous I & M Canal and enjoyed a leisurely ride one day. The loft itself was gorgeous!! Local owners had taken special care to decorate and provide a perfectly designed space for our entire family. The property was wonderful and the owners were fantastic to work with. This was a special stay for us and the loft was incredible!

Perfect for our needs! So much character, we love what you did to turn this space into a rental. Great size and location. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. Wouldn’t change a thing!!!

I stayed at this same luxury loft in the summer with my husband and 4 kids (ages 14-23). The space is plenty big for 6. Great kitchen with all the cooking supplies needed. Comfortable couches and chairs for watching tv. (Though NOT a lot of channels available). Eating table great for meals and playing games. Shower down the hall still has hot water issues. Could use "notes" on how to use the water controls. Location of loft is easy to get to. Town of LaSalle is a little quiet but seems safe. Easy to drive to neighboring towns of Ottawa, Utica, Peru. Starved Rock Park easy 5 min drive. Would stay here again.

I stayed there with my bridesmaids for my wedding. I was surprised at how large the loft was. The only issue we had were the showers the hot water had an issue on the first day and the shower heads needs to be cleaned . Other than that it was lovely. I would recommend to stay at this location.

Fun loft space within walking distance to several restaurants. Sweet visiting center and a short drive to hiking!

The condo was wonderful and beautifully embellished. It was located close to great restaurants and my Illinois family. We would definitely stay there again

A beautiful loft in the old downtown. It’s close to shopping and multiple places to eat.

Had a blast, the location was great and close to starved rock which was the goal. Close to the restaurants, parking was easy, the place has everything you need. All in all great place!

We loved the spaciousness of the loft. It was a great home base for our weekend - a few restaurants to walk to, but not loud at night.
Our major issue was with the water temp in the showers - one was scalding. The owners gave us directions to fix it, but they need to have some signage showing the fix for all guests. Since I saw this problem listed in other reviews, I'd recommend checking with the owners on whether they have posted directions for using the shower before you book it.
Otherwise, great stay

Nice property. Clean. Can have street noise. Over all good experience

The loft is clean and spacious, and ideally located for visiting Starved Rock State Park. Showers are inadequate: water temperature of one shower is very hot (no way to cool down) and the other has low water pressure. Beds in the walk-in closets are uncomfortable and there is no lighting accessible from inside the rooms. Wifi is accessible only downstairs.

Beautiful, unique property!
Let me preface by saying that I've stayed in more than a dozen short term rentals over the years, so I know what's "industry standard" and what goes above and beyond. This was one of the nicest rentals I've stayed in. It was very high-end for a rental, and it's clear that the owners have spent a lot of money on renovations.
I stayed at the property with my mom, sister, and 6 of my sister's friends for a bachelorette weekend. We went kayaking and hiking and had dinner at Uptown Grill. I was worried the loft would be too small, but there were air mattresses in both huge master closets plus tons of extra bedding. I was also worried that the bathroom situation would be weird since the bathrooms are en suites, but there are also doors to allow access from the hallways. Plenty of towels for everyone, and the beds were comfortable. Overall, everyone enjoyed the stay here! Our only complaint was that LaSalle is such a pretty town with a bunch of cute shops that we didn't get to visit because they were all closed on Sundays. If you plan to shop, be sure to visit before 4 on Saturday. The visitor's center was open on Sunday and had food plus some light shopping.
Thanks, Thomas!

Girls weekend trip!
It was very spacious and clean. Walking distance to a few restaurants and shops, but not much there. We mostly went to hike and relax, so it was just fine. Had some trouble with shower water temperature and getting movie channels on TV, but other than that it was very nice😁

A little luxury in a small town
We stayed in La Salle as we were unable to get adjoining rooms at the Starved Rock Lodge for a wedding. Downtown La Salle is quiet and quaint and this property is in the middle of it. The loft was well appointed and we all felt at home in every way. Everything is updated and the furniture was clean and comfy. Water pressure in the showers wasn't great but that's a minor gripe. I usually complain about cheap, soft mattresses in rental units but the master bed in the loft was just fine for even my achy back.
There's a nice coffee shop / bakery right across 1st St....coffee was nothing special but the breakfast sandwiches hit the spot.
Overall a nice experience. The owners were quick to respond to inquiries and everything was pretty straightforward!

Great Girl's Weekend
The apartment was beautiful! The listing pictures were spot on. The only downfall was thr water temperature in 1 bathroom was super hot and the other shower had pretty poor water pressure, but overall, we would stay there again!

Nicely decorated
The property looked just like the pictures. Beautiful bedrooms and bathroom. Nice kitchen and cozy living room.
It was not filthy, but needed a little extra attention. There were children's fingerprints on the glass bedroom door, a blood smear on the bathroom wall, and the wine glasses had spots around the top. Everything else was great.

Everything and more.
Gorgeous condo in an old, historic building. Beautifully decorated and the bricks walls added charm to the decor. There is some street noise but it was sporadic and minimal as you’re not in a busy section of town. Great local restaurants within walking distance. Would stay again.

Girls’ Weekend
Beautiful loft. Windows & ceilings tall and lots of natural light. Walk around the corner to shops and a great restaurant.
Lots of stairs but not steep.
Phyllis was easy to reach by phone when we had questions. Immaculately clean.
We would go back.

Very nice accommodations - rented 2 units
Very nice places. Little problem with the one unit having clogged shaper drain and air not working - but both places were in town and right by the bike trails. Nice little town.
Definitely would do it again.

Lovely place! HUGE! Great location to Starved Rock!
Only flaw…water temperature in front bathroom could not be adjusted from hottest temperature. Could scald!

Girls weekend
This is a beautiful place! Clean. Wonderful communication, everything we needed for a perfect weekend. Hidden jewels in this area are an amazing Spa named “Unwind” and a farm to table restaurant Fresh Thyme.

Girls weekend
The loft is amazing! We stayed her because it had a lot of space to hang out in. We went kayaking and hiking at starved rock state park. Dinner down the street al fresco at uptown grill was very good.

Girls weekend
The loft was much larger than expected. It was well decorated and felt very historic. The location to the I and M canal and downs town Lasalle was prime. The only downside was the internet didn’t work well.

Easy parking. Great air conditioning.

Beautiful Loft for a girlfriend getaway
Gorgeous loft for a girlfriend getaway! Perfectly appointed, great location. Would do this again. The only hiccup was figuring out how to regulate the one bathroom shower. It only had scaldiing hot water. It would be helpful if the owners included instructions. The master bath shower worked wonderfully

This place was one of the best experiences my friends and I have had. I couldn’t recommend more. Great communication and experience.

Lovely place and nice owner. Located on a very busy street with truck traffic, so not ideal for sleeping.

Spacious & comfortable loft
Very much enjoyed our stay. Only real downside is the WiFi is problematic. We eventually gave up on it and used a hotspot. Mobile coverage with AT&T was quite good so we could use it that way.

Relaxing fun family stay
The property exceeded our expectations. Large living space with history all around. The kitchen even had a crock pot, so Thomas has thought of every amenity. If your traveling with a large group extra cups and plates will go a long way. If your reading through these reviews to decide if you would stay at this Vrbo all the 4 and 5 stars will give you the feel of what it’s like.

Very nice place. Spacious. Good for larger groups. WiFi was insufficient in the front half of the unit: Kitchen, TV and front bedroom had no service. Everything else was great.
