The house is really cute and in a great location for walking to town for a bite! Elaine makes it so easy for you to bring your dogs…big yard, dog bowls to use, treats and even a toy to take home. We hiked at Starved Rock and ate in town at Uptown Grill (definitely recommended!) We all had a blast. We will be back.

Nice and clean.

We had a great time in this house. Very clean and well stocked with the essentials needed for a short weekend getaway. The property manager, Elaine, gave us plenty of area information to get acquainted with what’s around in the neighborhood. It was our first time using VRBO and everything ran smoothly. We will definitely be back soon. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a short distance away from Starved Rock.

Elaine was great and the place was very clean. We stayed with our two daughters both under 5, and they loved it. The played all over the house but really liked the play area and spent time coloring too. Fire pit was great for hot dogs and s‘ mores (good idea to stop at Casey’s before and get a couple bundles of firewood) after a long day of hiking at Starved Rock. Perfect location on a quiet street and easy to get to the park about 10 minutes away. We most definitely will stay again when we go back!

Cozy home with a great backyard and deck. Very clean. Elaine thought of everything to make our stay more comfortable and fun for us and our dog. She responded quickly to our questions before and during our stay. Great recommendations for coffee and local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

A friend and I stayed at this quaint little house for the weekend. The house is a quick easy drive to Starved Rock and Mathieson State Park. The neighborhood was quiet and close to some excellent restaurants!

Thank you for the great stay at this house. It was great to be able to bring our pups and they could just play and roam around in the back yard while we enjoyed the weather and family time together.. I also loved how well stocked the house was for the guests and puppies with the extra touch amenities. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again. I would also recommend staying here.

We stayed here for a few days to hike several trails in the area. The location was perfect and the place was terrific! The check in and out process was seamless. We highly recommend this place.

House is cute and quirky with everything we needed for our too short trip to hike at Starved Rock. Outdoor space was our favorite and something we look for in a rental. Host supplied lots of great info on the area which was helpful. Would definitely rent again!!

The property was located perfectly in walking distance if you wanted to downtown Lasalle. Very close to all the hiking trails less then 10 minutes away. Elaine responds very quickly to questions or concerns. Clean and cozy. It was a quiet area. Us girls just wanted to relax and not have any schedules. We laughed and had a great time. I would stay again if in the area.. Elaine was a great hostess.

My daughter and I stayed in your property while my grandson had shoulder surgery. My grandson is a student at IVCC and needed shoulder surgery. Your home gave us a place to stay so we could be close to him. It was nice to be in a home rather a hotel

Super cute house located close to all the Illinois Heritage Corridor attractions. The home was clean, nicely decorated, and had all the amenities needed for an extended weekend. Love that this property was dog friendly with a fenced yard so I was able to bring my girls for a hiking getaway at the state parks. Elaine even included some little doggy welcome gifts. The neighborhood was quiet even so close to downtown. We really enjoyed relaxing and being so close to everything we wanted to do/see. We will definitely be back!

This was a last minute booking, and we were happy with our stay. I was worried about it being a rental that allowed dogs, but it was super clean, and convenient for visiting the parks. We would consider coming again with our dogs. A bathroom with a shower is needed downstairs, because for tall, or even tallish people, the upstairs shower just doesn’t work. We are 6’4” and 5’10, and we were constantly bumping our heads on the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom, and had to bend at the knees to take a shower.

The house is very clean and overall very well done. Great location within easy walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Also a short drive to the 3 parks. Excellent communication through the whole process. The only concern we had it is the ceiling height on the 2nd floor and in the shower. If you are over 6’ tall, you will have to duck a lot.

Wife found this place allowing dogs. Fenced in back yard. Was wonderful. Stayed 3 days. Visited Starved Rock all 3 days. Was no more than about 10 minutes away. Place was clean. Decor was nice. Amenities were more than was needed. Price was reasonable. Would rent again.

Our family had a lovely time in this home. The host was very responsive. The house was clean and comfortable. Close to many restaurants and small eateries (our fav was Rawfully Yours and Rosati’s) We appreciated that our family dog was able to stay with us. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. And it’s a short drive to Starved Rock! Thank you!

Home next to Catholic churches
We loved being next to two Catholic Churches. Could go to mass each morning. Adoration etc right next door. Loved home but needs a new couch. Could not use it. Upstairs was cold. Thank you. Enjoyed our stay

This is a great place for a family to base itself, as we did. Nice property, good for pets and has outdoor space. Good neighborhood -- would have liked off-street parking, but it is what it is. I still need to pay a second pet deposit despite that we left the place spotless (that's how we roll). We didn't receive check-in info until the last minute because the second pet fee (second dog) had not been paid yet. I'd easily give five stars -- but on trend for home sharing sites, there's a significant cleaning fee but we're still expected to do several cleaning tasks before leaving. That makes it a less than perfect (5 star) experience. Would absolutely encourage anyone to stay here though -- my family and I loved everything else about this property.

Terrific stay as always!!!

Central and backyard fun!
The kitchen is exceptionally stocked. Large enough for us to cook together. Host has special touches in every room to keep you entertained. Washer and dryer make packing easier. Save a lot store walking distance clean and reasonably priced. Quiet rooms made game night fun and kiddos asleep. Fun Uno game for us all.
