House was clean and it had what we needed. However, the furniture was dated. While the property was located almost to the top of a mountain, the view was obstructed because of trees getting taller and overgrown brush. Would stay again but this would not be our first choice.

This was our second time staying at this property. As always great views close to Boone and Blowing Rock and an excellent property management company. Would recommend.

Not clean upon arrival. House needs updated. Kitchen items broken/rusted. Cabinets desperately need updated House view is great. Deck nice. House and furnishings just really tired and need to be updated. TVs/internet sketchy . Just a hodgepodge of interior /furniture. shag rugs ( not sanitary) given its pet friendly ( one great plus) Would not rent again.

The property was clean. Problems with the internet but after several days, up and running. Bathrooms very nice. Beds comfortable. Parking a bit cramped. We had a good time!

My wife and I had a great experience at Crystal Views. It is really quiet and unbelievable sunset view from the back deck. Close to both Boone and Blowing Rock Would definitely recommend.

Very nicely furnished and clean, a large deck to enjoy the mountain view at the end of the day. Very convenient to the many shops/restaurants in Blowing Rock, and very close to an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I was disappointed with the amenities for what I paid for this rental. The unit was out so dated and the kitchen was a hodge podge of accessories. There were huge gaps in the floor. There was dog hair on my stuff and in my food. The place was dusty and the outside furniture was covered with pollen which I had to wipe down to enjoy the the outdoor space. When I arrived the deck door off the living rom was unlocked. The luggage valet was broken in one bedroom. The light in the main bedroom was strobing and could inflict an epileptic seizure. I was totally put off by that health risk! I think the price I paid was not commiserate with the unit. I left early because I was not happy with the unit.

The cabin is in an excellent location, very close to Blowing Rock and Boone. It was very nice to be able to take our dogs and the property management was very communicative about the check-in and check-out process. A lovely wrap-around porch with beautiful views! Hiking trails close by.

Fantastic Getaway
Crystal View was immaculate inside and out. The bistro table on the porch was perfect for wining and dining, and offered a view of wild rhododendrons and long range views of the mountains. Relaxing on the porch was an all-time favorite. Cottage is very accommodating and well appointed with necessities. Just bring food. Highly recommend.

Great Place for a Quiet Mountain Getaway
Main room with large wraparound deck is home's best feature. You can't beat the view ... Sunsets were amazing!! Neighborhood was safe and quiet. And you are centrally located to so much ... great dining, shopping, hiking and sightseeing. Although travel on Shulls Mill Road is not for those who get easily carsick. Would definitely rent again.

Just Amazing!
We could not have had a better experience! The house was clean, beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked (We cooked all meals except for 2). We live in SWFL and my 4 year old wanted to experience some winter fun and we were not disappointed! We rented Saturday to Saturday and actually got snowed in on Sunday-Tuesday. We had so much fun (and so did our 2 dogs) playing in the snow making snow angels, building snowmen, and having snowball fights. The roads were plowed as soon as it stopped snowing and we were able to navigate the mountain safely with AWD. We went ice skating and tubing in the surrounding areas and also visited Mystery Hill (highly recommend). The views couldn’t be beat. Our daughter is already asking when we are going back. We will definitely return!

Exactly what we needed
Property was just what we needed for a weekend getaway with our 4 year son and family dog. Great views of the valley and mountains. House was quiet, clean and priced appropriately. Kitchen and non-master bath could use a facelift (although functional) as everything else stood out due to recent renovations. We found driving the mountain road to Boone was easier than to Blowing Rock. I would recommend this place to friends and would stay here again although we prefer to try new places.

Lovely and dog friendly
We enjoyed every minute in this house! The views were wonderful, the mattresses were comfortable and it was very homey with plenty of room to relax. We were central to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Thanks to the owners for sharing such a fantastic house and to the management company for making everything so easy.

True Mountain House
This house has the most amazing views! Also close to Blowing Rock and Boone while being nestled into the woods.
Amazing deck and thoughtfully restored with a true mountain feel. We loved the wood burning fireplace and restful feel of the house.

Clean and nice view
Unfortunately had paving of neighborhood street that we were not informed of. Kept us from getting into the house and having to walk up hill at night to get to our car. Did not like access to property.

Nice Getaway
The house is updated, nicely furnished, and has a good layout. The kitchen had everything we needed. The covered deck has a nice view.
Overall, it was a good vacation. We did have one little surprise. The road the house is on was being resurfaced during our stay. We had no idea, but a resident in the neighborhood saw us walking one morning and informed us just in time for us to move our vehicle outside the gates of the neighborhood before we got trapped since the road would be closed for 1.5-2 days. We were not allowed to drive on the road so for two days so we hiked back and forth from the entrance of the community to the house while the road was off limits. We’re active/healthy people so it all worked out and the road was open by the time we loaded up to leave, but it would have been nice to know in advance.

Awesome house and view
The house was great but it could use a good cleaning as cobwebs were on walls and dusty in areas.. other then that everything was just perfect and I would stay there again.

Wonderful home with amazing views
I can't say enough good things about this home. It is so welcoming and had everything you could need. The layout is great with a large open living and dining area that separates the two bedrooms. There is a massive deck with incredible views. The beds are really comfortable and the home is tastefully decorated. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful cabin for a romantic weekend!
Crystal View was the perfect location for our anniversary weekend! The location is secluded and very quiet with a phenomenal view. Boone experienced it’s first snow shower of the season the first night we were in the cabin so it was beautiful waking up to a dusting on the roof tops and trees below. The owners of this cabin have furnished & decorated Crystal View in a luxurious style unlike any other cabin we’ve rented. The mix of solid mahogany-toned wood furniture, leather sofas, posh floral bedding, shag rugs/pillows, and Tiffany stained glass lamps along with the rustic wood ceiling & floors create a wonderful ambiance. The cabin was extremely clean as well. I would suggest not driving a very large vehicle or super sized truck if you wish to park easily. This cabin does only have space for two cars parked parallel in front of the cabin or one large truck in our case. Also a 4x4 would definitely be needed during ice and snow due to the steep and curvy terrain. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay at Crystal View again!

Beautiful home, great view!
We enjoyed a very comfortable 4 night stay in this nicely remodeled and well appointed home. Great location between Boone and Blowing Rock, in a quiet, peaceful setting overlooking the valley below. There's a great covered deck with tables, chairs, etc. to really take advantage of the setting. Beds, bathrooms, kitchen were all comfortable and contained everything we needed. The management company was great to deal with. We would definitely stay here again.
