THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Location, location, location! You won't find better than this!
Situated in Fitzroy Street, W1, we offer a top location in the heart of the West End in trendy Fitzrovia, a super central arty foodie paradise location with a villagey feel and Georgian architecture. The area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud. Today it is a popular and lively neighbourhood with a residential and business mix and a bustling art scene. Over 50 art galleries (10% of all those in London) operate here. The numerous media companies based in the area feed into a trendy and vibrant buzz.
Fitzrovia has more restaurants than you'll ever get to visit (with new ones popping up all the time). Michelin stars, British pub grub, easy Italians and sandwich shops. fish n chips, Peruvian cuisine, Chinese, Greek, Indian, Mexican, Filipino. We've got them all and everything in between.
If you fancy a bit of home cooking, several supermarkets are close by (including a good Sainsburys, Tescos, Marks and Spencers Food Hall, Waitrose and Planet Organic). There's even a farmers' market not too far away.
Tourist London is easily accessible on foot or by tube.
The local area is buzzing but the flat is in a quiet street so you get the best of both worlds. For entertainment, you have Theatreland close by, numerous cinemas, comedy clubs, late night bars, dancing and nightclubs.
If shopping appeals, you can shop till you drop in nearby Oxford Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, Camden Market and Bond Street. They are all a walk away.
For outside life, neighbouring Fitzroy Square is a peaceful and pleasant place to enjoy a sandwich and watch the world go by.
Alternatively, it's a 10 minute walk to Regent's Park, a wonderful 410-acre open space offering stylish gardens with cafés, rose and wildlife gardens, a boating lake, sports facilities, an open-air theatre and zoo.

Thank you for our wonderful stay in Fitzrovia! The flat was clean, comfortable, and very centrally located for our London visit and the property owner provided excellent instructions and very useful local suggestions per the guide pamphlet provided. Transportation was a breeze via taxi, mini-cab, and the Underground, and the flat is in easy walking distance to M&S Food, Tesco Express, and several wonderful restaurants (recommend Sergio’s on Great Titchfield!) and pubs (recommend The Lore of the Land on Conway!).

Overall the description and location are accurate; it's in a great, relatively quiet location with a ton of good food nearby. A few notes:
- Key pickup was ~5 min walk away, which is right next to Warren tube station. Note the walk though if you're wheeling luggage.
- The convenience store where the host recommends bag drop off is where you get your keys (convenient). Note that this means you'll be lugging your bags down two flights of stairs in their basement.
- The clothes washer in-unit was a nice amenity. However it is quite compact and is also the dryer. Don't expect to do 5 people's laundry each night.
- The bathroom is small (to be expected), but note the sink is very tiny with limited counter/storage space.

Tremendously easy stay. Owner has thought of all details. Convenient to EVERYTHING. The apartment itself is a gem and nice to have a secure front door to building. Very comfortable staying here.

Convenient to many public transportation options, clean, fit our family of five perfectly. Would recommend!

Excellent property located just 15 min walk from Euston. Fitzrovia is an excellent location with plenty of restaurants, cafes and takeaways all within a few minutes walk. It is also within walking distance of Oxford Street, Soho and Covent Garden. Excellent communication from the host and perfect accommodation for our family break in London.

Very clean and comfortable apartment! Pretty bedding and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked. Great central location in London. Everything is either a short walk or a short tube ride away. We loved walking to The Regent’s Park in the afternoons, then walking back past many restaurant options near the apartment. Liz was wonderful to work with! Great communication! We would definitely stay here again!

My stay was excellent. The place was very comfortable and certainly centrally located. I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a great week in London at Liz's place. The place itself is simple and clean. It's small, but there was plenty of space for me, my husband, and our teenaged daughter. Liz was very responsive to our needs and let us check in early. The area has many restaurants and cafes within a few minute walk and there are a few tube stations within a 10 or so minute walk. It is urban living with all of the benefits (though an urban setting might not be for everyone). If you plan to wash your clothes, plan on it taking a long time, as the combo washer and dryers found in many European flats take very small loads and take forever! We had a great time and would stay here again.

We loved the apartment! It was perfect for our family. Liz was easy to communicate with! The place was super clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The best part was the location. It was very easy to get to every attraction London has to offer. Would love to stay at this place again when we visit London next time.

Quick checkin via a stop at a nearby grocery store that has keys - it is an efficient process. House was as advertised. Unit is right off the elevator. Noise from other tenants was minimal to none. Very quiet. Noise from the street was a little noticeable at night - typical car and pedestrian. You are 3 stories up and we ran one of the fans provided and that drowned out any street noise. When you step out the door you are near so much. We never used transportation. Walked to numerous parks, Buckingham palace, pubs, grocery stores, etc. Very much enjoyed our stay.

The property location is hard to beat if you want to stay in central London. Nearly everything is walkable, with many tube stations close by as well. Property was very clean and host was extremely fast to respond.

Our family of 5 had an amazing time in London. The neighborhood was fantastic and access to trains and the ability to walk to places made this stay wonderful. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting easy access to the airport all attractions via walking and the metro.

This flat is located in an amazing neighborhood and is central to most London sites and has access to three tube stations nearby. We had a great time here. It would have been helpful if there were extra towels and toilet paper but there is a nearby Primark where you can buy your own.

Excellent location. Close to tube stops and not that far from Oxford Street. Perfect for two women friends in their 70s. Suggested to owner that a binder on site with explicit instructions on how things work - oven, tv, etc. - would be helpful. All in all - a good experience.

The location of the property was great and convenient for our family! It helped make our trip wonderful as it was central to everything! Liz was wonderful - very attentive before and during our stay! Would stay again and recommend!

Liz was an excellent host, she responded quickly to questions and gave us a much needed early check in after a long flight.
The property was exactly as described. Not huge, but good for central London and big enough for our family of 5.
Location is excellent- close to a number of tube lines and buses plus a local supermarket and I highly recommend lunch at Honey & Spice down the road.

If you are looking to stay in a real neighborhood of London (as opposed to a tourist trap), look no further than Fitzrovia. Excellent restaurants within a five minute walk, close to several tube stations, and a quick walk to Regent’s Park, truly one of the most beautiful parks in London. The neighborhood is also fairly quiet by London standards, but remember, London is a huge and bustling city. It was quite warm in the flat but we hit the hottest week London had seen in months so that was not a surprise (nor was the lack of air conditioning, which is not a common feature in London homes). Liz was east to work with and provided an extremely helpful welcome packet. If you’re looking to lounge around home, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for an excellent launching pad for daily city adventures, combined with comfortable beds to rest at night, this is a great option.

The flat was very clean and in a very quiet neighbourhood. It is a short walk to the tube station or a 20 min walk to the central tourist / shopping / theatre area. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Very much enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend the flat to others. Plenty of options for groceries and a short walk to the excellent Waitrose Supermarket in Marylebone. The host was also very responsive to all of our questions and easily accessible. Great base from which to see London. Highly recommend.

Conveniently located in the West End. Close to theaters, shopping, restaurants, all the major London attractions. If you stay, be sure to make a left out of the building and discover all that the neighborhood in Fitzrovia has to offer.

We stayed 3 nights in July 2023. The apartment is small but was a good size for me and my 2 adult daughters.
It was our first time in London and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The apartment is located off the main busy streets so it’s quiet at night but still convenient for the many restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby. Public transport is nearby and it was also very easy to get a cab near the apartment.
Liz, the manager, was super helpful before and during our stay and communicated quickly. She also provided an incredibly helpful, detailed guide for the apartment, neighborhood amenities and public transit.
Apartment is super clean, comfortable and had everything needed. Kitchen and bathroom are small but updated. Apartment includes a washer/dryer combo which we found very useful.
It was an overall great choice for our first visit to London. Highly recommend.

The apartment is beautiful, even better than the pictures. The sofa bed was as comfortable as a regular bed.

This apartment was in a great location. Seemed safe and secure. Very close to the tube. There is construction going on in the building next door which was quite loud in the early mornings.
6.0
The location is really great in that there were so many restaurants, it's close to the tube and if you were wanting to walk/public transport to any major attraction, it was reasonably accessible. And it's fair to say that everything in London is quite expensive, so for the space and location, it was appropriately priced. However, be prepared to endure some major drawbacks. We found the flat to be not as clean and to my personal standard. I tend to look in corners like the base of faucets and walls, but it's not bad if you don't look closely. There is a large building being erected directly across the windows of the flat where active construction was happening all day, and in the evening and early morning hours there are loud voiced people coming out of the bar. This might just be normal for city living in London, we just happened to be staying during a time when it was very hot and had to leave the windows open so there was no way to dampen the noise. While noise and cleanliness standards can be variable, I was most perturbed by the 1 toilet paper roll offering per stay.

This was our first time staying in the Fitzrovia district of Central London. Our contact, Liz, was great. She provided us with great information about about the neighbourhood, how to get to the rental and London in general. All of our communication with Liz was dealt with in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
Our favourite part of London, the West End, is nearby - a quick bus ride or walk.
The checkin process went smoothly and instructions on how to use the facilities (eg. washer/dryer, garbage disposal, dishwasher, windows) were detailed and clear.
The rooms were a good size and private. The living room/dining area had a sofa bed and had a door for privacy which was good for our party of five. The beds were comfortable.
London is getting much hotter in the summer than in past summer trips so the rental was quite warm so the windows and blinds need to be drawn during the day.
This rental property is very nice, the building is quiet and great for a group of 4 or more.
Thank you Liz for your hospitality!
