You can read this whole review but I will sum it just telling you to stay away unless you want to run the risk of listing misrepresentation and no refund.
My family of 5 were taking our first trip to Europe. I knew that upon arrival in London we were going to be exhausted, and I was going in July. I knew that a lot of places in London didn't have AC so I made sure the listings I researched had that in addition to a bed per person (my kids do better when they don't share beds). I found this property, booked it and the manager seemed pleasing and accommodated our early arrival... When we arrived, it had no AC and it was the hottest day of the year. When I contacted the manager upon arrival he literally tells me to use the two 6" fans that won't do anything to control the heat much less control the noise from outside since it's a busy street. AC isn't just about coolness, it's also about insulation from noise which I knew we'd need in this location.
Also, the listing stated a King bed - there was one Queen bed. There was a double bed in the second bedroom and the bedroom 3 is listed as having 1 Double Futon, 2 Twin Beds and 1 Crib. This bedroom is really the living room and it's just a sectional couch. We had to leave, we were in tears from exhaustion and it was impossible to stay.
Since then, they were super slow to respond and now won't do even a partial refund. I did nothing wrong and I don't do business this way. Shame on them.

The location of this property is absolutely fantastic. It is right on the main street in Islington with lots of great shops, restaurants, cafes all in easy walking distance. There are two tube stations within easy walking distance accessing the Northern, Victoria and Overground lines. The property was very clean and well appointed and the host was easy to contact with good communication and easy check in and out process. I would highly recommend this property.
2.0 / 10.0
If you have moderately high standards, this place might not measure up. If you're a group of college students on a tight budget, it might work; if you're a middle-aged professional, like myself, I wouldn't recommend it. The place is rough around the edges. One bedroom is tight with no window. The place has a musty smell. If you're booking your dream trip to London, I wouldn't recommend. The location is outstanding, though.

Our stay at this flat was good. It has a great washer and dryer, which is rare. The area is great with lots of good restaurants and coffee places, shops, a wonderful florist, etc. The condo looks a bit less attractive in person than in the pictures but it was still nice looking and convenient. I think that it comfortably sleeps 5, not 7, like it says it does.
8.0 / 10.0
Property was a great location. Different from pictures regarding furniture and layout of furniture. 2nd bedroom was the twin bed it did not make a larger bed. No toiletries in the bathroom and no coffee as pictured. Appreciate the accommodation for late check in. The entry light did not work when we arrived at midnight which made getting up the stairs into the unit with luggage a bit difficult.
8.0 / 10.0
The location and neighborhood were great. Lots of places for food, grocery, eating out, and treats. Easy access to bus lines and Tube stations, so easy to travel anywhere you want to go. Check-in did not go as the host had assured us it would, which was disappointing and frustrating. But assuming that was a one-off complication we would stay here again. It worked really well for our week in London.

Incredible location
We had an incredible stay in London thanks largely to this location; it is very conveniently located for the tube and for several bus lines that take you to lots of great stuff. The restaurant underneath the flat is really delicious and super welcoming and there is lots of great food and coffee in Islington. Paulo was an incredible host and we very much enjoyed our stay

Great Apartment in London
Great apartment in London, close to public transportation. Paulo is an excellent host and was even able to accommodate us earlier when another rental fell through.

Good in general
The location was good. The apartment was comfortable. I loved the fan on some hot nights in London. This the 2nd time I stay in 170 upper st and the stream in the shower was quite weak in both plus the water turned cold in the middle of the shower. Lucky it was summer

London Islington
Apartment was OK. The pull out couch/bed seems to be broken which left it only for 1 person which was fine considering it was my 17 year old son sleeping on it.
Just a suggestion, might want to consider better/more pillows, very limited.
Great location, lots of places to eat nearby, easy access to train.
Letting us leave luggage prior to checkin was nice.

Family of four
We stayed in this apartment one week ago and found it to be absolutely perfect for our family of four - we are two parents and two "kid", ages 17 and 18. When we first walked in we were worried it would be too small but it absolutely was not. Everyone had a place to go chill after a busy day exploring.. lots of nice details too - like extra transformers (this was a godsend), blow drier, plenty of towels, the washer was essential as we travel light, There was a fabulous book with all the instructions for everything in the house - this was really helpful. My daughter had the sofa bed and she was extremely comfortable and slept wonderfully. My son is 6' 5" so the extra long twin bed in the other room was perfect. Finally Paolo was responsive to all our needs - we asked for early check in and we got it, we asked for late check out and he allowed that for a minimal charge (this was a life changer since our flight didn't leave till 9p), he responded immediately whenever contacted and provided solutions to any issues. Thank you Paolo because of your apartment and wonderful hospitality (plus simply AMAZING weather) our stay in London was a complete SUCCESS!

These wonderful apartment is located close to supermarkets, shops and cafes and restaurants, yet very quiet on the side. Loved all the comforts and luxury, from playstation for the boys to coffee machine and juicer.

Perfect London base for 3 moths
My husband and I lived in this flat for three months for my grad school program. We found it to be the perfect base for our adventures. The location truly can't be beat - we still haven't managed to visit every restaurant and cafe nearby that we'd like to. Paulo and his team were great to work with and were very responsive to anything we asked about. My favorite thing about this flat is how much like home it felt. We are very sad to leave!

Great stay
This was our second stay at Paul's place and I have to say I can't fault it.
The apartment is in a great neighborhood, and incredibly well connected on public transport so you can easily travel to many sightseeing destinations.
There are many great bars and restaurants very close to the apartment, or if you prefer a night in, the apartment has all the cooking equipment you would need plus there is also a tv, DVD and xbox for entertainment.
We traveled with our young son and the apartment came equipped with a cot and high chair which was great.
We'll be back in the future I am sure.

Lovely flat in a wonderful neighborhood
Beautiful, spacious flat in the wonderful Islington neighborhood and surprisingly quiet given the bustle outside. Close to two tube stops. Well-maintained, and owner very easy to work with. Only consideration is that there are multiple flights of stairs, so if stairs are a problem, this will not be a good flat for you. For everyone else, this is an outstanding choice.

Great place to stay!
We had a wonderful time in the flat which is just as described. It is also quiet and you have everything you need to feel home. The area is lively and full of nice restaurants and bars. The tube is nearby. The center of London is about 20 min from the flat's door. I strongly recommend this flat and would definitely love to return there during my next visit in London!

Wonderful Apartment!
My 13 year old son, husband and myself stayed at this property for 3 nights last week. Actually, we rented this apartment but then Paulo, the manager, contacted us before our arrival and upgraded us to his 2 bedroom apartment in the same building. Awesome! The whole booking process easy and Paulo very accessable, responding to my emails within hours. All information given about the property is exactly as we found it. The beds were amazingly comfortable, loved the Nespresso machine and washing machine and the location was perfect. So many shops and restaurants on this street you won't know how to pick. Don't miss Kili's Restaurant on Theberton St. Our waiter, Roberto, was fabulous! Also, loved Fox On The Green.
We booked for 4 nights but had to leave after 3. Even so, we still felt like we got a great deal. Paulo's agent met us when we arrived and explained everything in the apartment to us. Check out was effortless. Will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location!
We had a wonderful stay in London. The location of the apartment was perfect with easy access to the tube and bus service. After a long day of sightseeing there were plenty of places to eat a late meal in the neighborhood. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed. The property staff were friendly and quickly responded to our questions. Thanks for making our first trip to London a great experience!

I travelled to London with my wife and two young daughters and we had a perfect stay in the flat. It was just the right size for the four of us and had all the amenities and function that we needed. On top of an amazing place the location is outstanding. We could be anywhere in central London via angel or highbury/islington in minutes. Thanks for an awesome experience!!

We were four adults that spent two weeks in October 2016. Strong points regarding this apartment is its great location, quite bedroom for sleeping, and the private covered patio. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. For instance, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed. I figured we would have to go out and buy some kitchen supplies, but we didn't need to do so. When we arrived, the contact person was very helpful, even helping two of us (older women) with their luggage. There are two subway stations near the apartment. This is great as one line (Victoria) takes you to Green Park, a short walk to Buckingham Palace. The other line (Northern) takes you to London Bridge. Also helpful was the proximity to several bus lines a short walk away (on Essex Street). This is great as if you want to get an early start on the day, you will find the Underground very crowded whereas the buses are not as crowded.
TV was great as they had a digital cable service and there were many stations available. It is good to get instructions on how system works as it requires using two different remotes. Wifi worked well at first but then stopped working, but we checked the instructions and a couple of backup wifis were provided and they worked. Overall, we were very pleased with this apartment. In the mornings a couple of us would get up early and fix breakfast. Having the covered patio was great as it provide a place to sit and each (where people would still be sleeping in the living room).
Last comment is regarding the neighborhood. Islington is really great! It is very vibrant neighborhood. Great (and reasonable) places to eat. First night and last night there we ate at the Greek bistro right below us. A couple of nights we got a large pizza from the Pizza Hut (right next door). There were also several grocery stores very close. Most nights on our way back to the apartment we would pick up groceries and fix our meals right in the apartment. We found that we saved a lot of money on meals this way. More importantly, we found that the experience of staying in the apartment was just as memorable as the many attractions in London.
We found it easy to get to and from the airport. You can catch the Underground at Heathrow and the line takes you to Kings Cross. Neither of these stations require walking up stairs. Then from Kings Cross, the apartment is only a ten pound ride via taxi.

City centered, and urban and hip - yet quite, cosy and familyfriendly - perfect appartment for 1-5 persons!
We stayed over on a full family - kids first London trip/parents nostalgia and had a briliant stay. No doubt would stay here again!

We were very happy with the location of the apartment (excellent transport and restaurants) and with the
support of owner Paulo and his staff. Our main reservation relates to the bedroom. It is advertised as having
a "king" bed. This is not the case, even allowing for differences in UK and North American terminology. It is
a double bed not even a queen. Moreover, one side is pushed against the wall meaning that one partner has to
clamber over the other to get out of bed. On the other side the gap between the bed and wall varies between one
and two feet, which can be tricky in the middle of the night. To be fair, all this is evident from the photos of the
apartment online. Finally, the the top of the very good mattress falls below the surrounding board supports which
can make exiting a bit hard on the behind. We eventually slept on the sofa bed in the living room but that too involves
one partner having to climb over the other to get out along with a less comfortable mattress. The good living room just
lacks a comfortable chair. The kitchen works well and is well equipped. The bathroom is adequate. Getting in and out of
the apartment means navigating two sets of narrow stairs and the use of various keys. The apartment probably works best

My stay in this simply wonderful apartment for the first half of September was such a joy !! You know when you go on vacation and you find that perfect situation where you have found the right neighborhood and a perfect place to stay within it and then you just want to keep it all to yourself? This is the place ! Paulo has created a home that is so completely charming and welcoming and to top it off, located in a wonderful area of Islington. It just wouldn't be fair for me to keep this place a secret (even though I want to) you have to experience it for yourself.
This home has everything you need and Paulo's staff will take care of you if you should need anything more. The neighborhood on Upper Street is so ideal with such a vibrant restaurant and pub scene that you could literally stay in the neighborhood and be content. The restaurant downstairs from the Apartment is called Pera and serves delicious Mediterranean and Turkish fare oh the Humus was so wonderful. Also nearby (just steps away really) are some wonderful Fish and Chips right next door to some of the best homemade Ice Cream I've ever had it's called Udderlicious (love the name). You are a short walk to Markets and of course to the Islington Underground stations and of course there are Bus Routes just outside the apartment door. Quite simply this is where you want to be !!
To all who visit and stay in this lovely apartment all I can say is YOU WILL LOVE IT. Now, please take care of this place and it will take care of you as you will treat this apartment as your own and will want to keep it all to yourself but do share it with friends as they will love it as well.
I cannot wait to return to my new found home away from home that Paulo and his team have so lovingly created and I want to personally thank them for all of their help and assistance they provided me. Paulo, your professionalism and very caring staff are what makes "WONDERFUL" vacations possible !!
I will come back just as soon as I can !!
Tod.

The location of this flat is just great - in a lively attractive part of London full of interesting shops and nice cafés, and yet so close to the centre and all major tourist attractions. Excellent transport links with two tube stations close by and many buses.
We found the kitchen well-equipped, the beds comfortable and the attractive little terrace complete with hammock a real bonus. Everything was clearly explained and efficiently and professionally managed by the owner and his team. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely oasis in the heart of a fun and lively neighbourhood. Very quiet at night so sleep was no problem. The pictures accurately reflect this flat which was also very clean. So nice to have a private deck on the back and having a washing machine and dishwasher was very convenient. Lots of stores, pubs and restaurants nearby and the view of Islington Town Hall was great for people watching. I saw 2 lovely weddings while I was there. Miss my view actually. Definitely would recommend and be back if possible.

This flat could not have been better. I was travelling solo for a few days in London, and I was looking for a place in a good location, close to London sights, with a nice amount of space to relax and feel at home. I got to pretend I lived in London for a few days, and I am sold!
The location on Upper Street in Angel is fabulous. You're so close to tons of restaurants, pubs, and shops, not to mention the Tube. I was able to walk to a number of the downtown sights and it was really nice to come home to a full kitchen, fix yourself a nice snack with some wine and relax on the terrace. The kitchen had everything I needed to even cook myself a proper dinner one night, which really helps to save some money while on holiday. Plenty of supermarkets in the area, plus the Chapel Street market for fresh local produce and meats.
I enjoyed lots of the local restaurants, and can especially recommend: Hoxley & Porter for great food and cocktails, Vintage Salt for excellent fish and chips, and Ottolenghi for the best vegetables you'll ever eat.
Property management was great, the apartment was clean and the booklet had all the info you need. I will definitely look to stay here again and I've recommended it to friends.

Really enjoyed staying in this wonderful flat . Very clear communication from owner and team , easy contact on arrival . The flat is very charming , we particularly liked the outdoor area , the livingroom is comfortable , bright lots of DVDs , books and even PSP ! Internet connection was good , kitchen is well equipt . It was so lovely to come back to this flat after a busy day - very relaxing and bright !
The area itself is fantastic with lots of lovely restaurants yet there is a real neighbourhood feel , excellent tube and bus connection. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that as the flat is not double glazed , you can hear everything from the outside . Although the area is generally quiet , I think if you are sensitive to noise like I am , it might be a issue . Also the shower needs fixing - you can't put the shower head up or down so it's basically dribbles on the wall rather then your body . If you use it as hand shower it's fine though .. I think all in all I will not hesitate to stay again .

Very good location with plenty of choices for shops and places to eat. Very quiet at night despite being in a busy street. Good choice of buses and close to a tube station.
