We had a great stay from beginning to end at our house on Marsh Creek Rd at Amelia Island Plantation. The house was the perfect space for our family (four adults and two children ages 10 & 14). The house is conveniently located near Plantation Shops, Marche Burette, golf and Nature Center - and of course, the beach! Having a golf cart and bicycles at our disposal mad getting around the resort very easy.
Our host was very helpful throughout our trip. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to any small family group of 6-8 people.

Our stay as parents of the groom for the wedding weekend consisted of entertaining the groomsmen and being at each venue in a timely manner. This house was perfect for all of the above. The location was perfect and the golf cart came in very handy. The accommodations were well thought out with lots of spaces to congregate and the beds were comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a weekend away or a destination wedding headquarters!

Our overall experience at 12 Marsh Creek was good, but there were many, many issues that prevented our stay from being so much better.
The location of the property and the layout of the house were pluses. As was having a garage and use of the golf carts. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, dishes, glasses, etc.
But the issues began from our first entry into the house. It was quickly obvious that either the house had not been cleaned, or the effort was cursory at best. Floors and counters were dusty. The refrigerator was full of food from the previous guest. The kitchen cupboards were full of packages at various stages of usage. Much of this can be attributed to a poor cleaning service, which an absentee landlord has a difficult time monitoring.
But we had multiple observations of the lack of routine maintenance that concerned us. The Jacuzzi had mold growing on a jet port, the deck has dry rot, there is mold on furniture and fans in the porch, there is rust on the metal frames of windows and doors, HVAC vents were covered in dust/lint. In industry terms, the property is tired.
The owner was notified of the cleaning issues, but there was no follow-up to remedy the situation. We cleaned the house to begin our stay. Rough start, but we learned to overlook the short-comings and enjoy the remainder of our stay.

I was very pleased with my stay in this home. The kitchen was very well equipped with a nice cozy solarium like kitchen dining area. The master bedroom with kingsized bed downstairs was spacious with walk in closet and double sinks, with access to large screened in porch through sliding doors. The spacious living room was very cozy with a large tv and had an attached screened in porch with comfortable seating areas and a dining table. Large washer and dryer adjacent to kitchen. Another dining table adjacent to kitchen. Upstairs, a nicely appointed king sized bed, a shared bath with double sinks that connected to bunkbed room, which is small but adequate for small children. Limited closet storage, but a dresser had good storage
Access to a golfcart made beach trips fun for all.

Wonderful house in a beautiful neighborhood!

This home was perfect for our getaway. It had comfortable places for all of us to sleep and more dining tables than we could use! We really loved the set up of the living room- it was perfect for morning talks and evening games. The golf cart was great for getting to the restaurants on property and the beach access. The host was right to suggest packing bug spray- the mosquitos were intense due to the thick vegetation surrounding the home.

The availability to use the golf cart, beach chairs, towels, and boggie boards were the topping for a wonderful visit for my family. Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach are lovely places to visit with lots of great restaurants and things to do. The home has a large screened patio perfect for family gatherings.

A great property in a great neighborhood. The sunroom and screened porch are great for spending time together with family. The house is decorated with fun and interesting items. The golf cart is the best attribute along with carole’s recommendations for beach access and things to do. Being in the Plantation is convenient with light traffic and great shops and restaurants. You should definitely consider this house for your next trip to Amelia Island.

We could not have been happier with the lovely home we stayed in while visiting Amelia Island. So much attention has been paid to the little details that it reminded us of our earlier home. The house was well taken care of and clean and Carole was attentive to any questions we had. The kids really enjoyed the short golf cart ride to the beach. It was probably the highlight of their trip! We wouldn't hesitate renting this house the next time we visit Amelia Island.
