Really lovely staff and a great place to return to in the evening. Good atmosphere. Nice pub. Comfortable bed.
2.9
Great location surrounded by lots of entertainment, drinking hotspots and shops.
Bedroom was very basic and the bed was extremely thin and uncomfortable, the heating didn’t seem to work and the water pressure for both taps and shower was not great and the toilet was very dated, good value for money however wound not stay again.

The exit!!! The bar staff were very friendly and polite.
Everything. We requested for the rooms to be together they were not. The rooms were dirty I found an old used bar of soap in the filthy shower and the shower had one setting scolding. The music played till 2 in the morning then the locals were outside shouting and swearing till 430. The hallway smelled of cannabis so bad it smelt like a room was being used to grow it. There were creepy men In the corridors making my female friend frightened to go to her room alone.people shouting and banging on doors both nights after 2am. The TV only had 2 channel that worked. The window didn't open properly it was like a halfway house. The ceiling was stained and peeling and finally the stabbing that occurred outside made my weekend whole

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
They didn't offer breakfast, as I was staying over Christmas it would have been something I was looking for.

Good location in centre of Ryde.
Room was very basic, but clean. Music from bar downstairs very loud.

we had a fantastic stay here, we had two rooms and both of them had recently been decorated to a very high standard which we loved and couldn’t believe after seeing the negative reviews on here, you can tell the whole hotel is having a refurb as the stairs and hall ways still need updating but they can’t do it all at once can they. The rooms are really modern and stylish
it’s noisy at night but that’s to be expected when you’re staying above a pub but we didn’t mind at all

We had no breakfast
Cold water tap in bathroom running constantly and could not be turned off. Made hot water in sink cold quickly. When pulled shower curtain over to shower you are plunged into darkness and cannot see what you are doing. Bathroom window cannot be opened. Main room window is kept open with a piece of wood and you cannot open it any higher unless hotel provides a bigger piece of wood. Music beat so loud downstairs thumping up in room all night we hoped it might stop at 2am but clocks went back at 2am so hotel must have stayed open for music if they treated it as 1am once it became 2am and so suffered the continual loud music beat for over another hour again from 2am. Curtains do not reach bottom of window so placed our clothes laid at bottom to cover up gap. Could not locate a remote for tv so operated it from buttons on tv but lighting so dim in room had to put our mobile phone torch on to see tv controls. Only one pillow each and no spares anywhere in room. Laid in bed trying to get to sleep and suffering strong smell of pot being smoked .

I found the room comfortable and it met my needs .There was a bit of outside noise but as it was a town centre venue this was to be expected,
2.9
The town was nice
Sticky carpet , music till 3am although tells you it stops at midnight , the staff are rude and the owner tells you to do one if you complain, perfect if you like a drug den as it's on sale in the toilets

we loved the fact it was on a hill so we got some steps in on the way to the karaoke bar. aside from the dead pigeon I stepped in the next morning it was beautiful!
we were cat called by two below average old men on the way to our room (‘I wonder where they’re staying’) which made us feel really attractive. our shower also started leaking at around midnight so no washing for us and no karaoke for the bar patrons below. :P

Nothing
There were stains on the sheets
Beds uncomfortable
Kettle was dangerous and had smoke coming out of it and then there was an awful smell and most worryingly the smoke alarm didn't go off
Upon opening the kettle there were black bits inside and it was orange (kettle was white)
Bathroom was awful.. I refused to use the shower
The noise from the pipework sounded like someone banging a big metal empty box was really loud.. .. the noise from the other rooms was also loud and from the bar downstairs until very late.
The whole place needs major tlc
Storing mattresses in the hallway
Communal toilet was disgusting
Threadbare carpet.... I could go on
2.9
Right in town so plenty places to get breakfast as hotel didn't do meals
It's not like a hotel when leaving your room a noisy pub downstairs for locals ainly communal areas could do with a refurbishment

We had stay there before so we new what to expect.

I had already read previous feedback both posati ve and negative but was not diswaided, but when we went to bed at around midnight there was loud music and you could hear screaming and shouting,
Uhm

central location ,clean no frills but good value, good welcome
2.9
central location.
Double bed squeezed into a tiny room. General maintenance of the building was shabby. Noisy pub goers outside the window.
2.9
the location
-the shower broke and was leaking
- very loud all through the night, considering it was a Tuesday it was very noisy with music that was constant
2.9
The staff were friendly. Towels and bedding clean. Showed to our room.
Hot water cut off halfway through a shower. Noisy at night. Bunk bed unstable for children. Room far too hot despite ceiling fan. Couldnt open window as it wasnt secure.
2.9
Handy as a stop coming off the car ferry.
Drunks shouting outside the window until 3am. The room was also cramped and I feel that it is over-priced as a result.
