This charming riad is located in the heart of the medina. Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, as is the rest of the riad. Despite the bustle of the medina, we found the riad to be surprisingly quiet (although you will, of course, still hear some noise from the busy city outside). Mohammad is a kind and generous host, being extremely accommodating with providing an early breakfast when needed, and giving suggestions for local restaurants in the area.

Our stay was fantastic!
The riad is 600 years old, architecture and design are so authentic and take you to the journey through time.
Our room was big with high ceiling and very comfortable.
The hosts are so lovely people, it was a great pleasure to have conversations with them.
Breakfast was traditional, good and tasty.
If you are visiting Meknes, you should definitely stay in this riad as it’s not just a hotel but an extraordinary experience that will enrich you Moroccan trip.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The atmospheric was very peaceful and relaxing. The riad was so much better than the images online. The riad was the highlight of our stay in Meknes and I would recommend this riad to friends and family.

The Riad is very beautiful and comfortable. It was easy to find in the Medina of Meknes. I was very happy to stay, Ouadil the manager was so kind and friendly and went out of his way to help.i was very happy there and can recommend the Riad.
The breakfast was a bit sparse compared to other places I have stayed otherwise everything was very good.

Our plan was to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss from Meknes and it was a very last minute decision to stay overnight in this city. Although we booked very last minute, upon arrival we were kindly welcomed and the staff helped us arrange a private driver to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss immediately. They were also very kind to accommodate to our early morning departure and made breakfast for us. Very much appreciate their hospitality!
As we spent the entire day exploring Volubilis and Moulay Idriss and came back very late and left next morning quite early, so we had very little time to enjoy the lovely Riad. Would have loved to spend more time there as interior was really beautiful and very cosy atmosphere.

Location was in heart of Meknes Medina. Very quiet, no road noise, only call to prayer from nearby mosque. Rooms were huge and the riad interior was gorgeous. Wifi and A/C worked very well in the rooms.
Bathroom floor become entirely wet after showers.

Excellent family resilience. very quiet and peaceful. Location is excellent. Owner upgraded our room from downstairs to upstairs.
Breakfast is minimal with bread, olive, butter, jam, coffee and tea. Owner forgot to give me the password to the WIFI despite my repeated requests. My wife found the code on the notice behind the door. We liked to use the kitchen to prepare one lunch and one dinner during our 3 night stay. However, we were asked to pay 50 dirham for using the gas stove. Despite these issues, we had a good stay.

Delightful stay. The riad is within the medina, which is great; but it's tucked away, making it calm and quiet. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and we had some great conversations. Excellent Moroccan breakfasts.

It is a nice place, on the side street in the middle of medina, but super calm and noise free at night time. The property is beautiful, I was in awe when I arrived, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. I got local suggestions and I highly recommend this riad.

Abdel has been such a wonderful host for us. Always making sure that we had everything that we needed. The Riad is lovely, and well located at the very heart of the Medina.

it’s a big surprise. the hotel is in a big, crowded market, a little bit difficult to find. When I entered the house, I like it immediately. it’s very clean, beautiful and comfortable.

The location, room, host, breakfast and rooftop deck were all fantastic!
Nothing. was the best Riad I stayed in during my month in Morocco!

Saliha and Eric were very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. Also shared some interesting perspectives of Morocco. The Riad is in the heart of the medina, so I could experience the everyday life of the locals. Walking distance to the main attractions in the old city, yet close to taxi ways to other parts of the city.

Breakfast was Very nice, fruits, bread and eggs with very good tea.
Saliha is a beautiful hostess, it is an original family riad, warmly welcoming.
We felt at home during the 6 days.
Room was spacious and beautifully furnished.
The shower blocked and the design was very minimalist and not practical.
Luckily we could use another one outside the room.

Staff was extremely helpful and witty, a great combination. I had issues with breakfast, not the hotel's fault but mine (not alerting them about my strict diet) and they accommodated me extremely well after I told them about my diet.
The first shower of our four night stay consisted of a weak stream of water, but later that night and for the rest of the stay the shower worked normally.
Other than that, no other complaints

This is an atmospheric and comfortable riad, in the centre of the medina. My room was large, which was much appreciated as I had to work while staying there. I ate in the hotel one night and it was good, so too was the breakfast. Saliha was an attentive and informative host and her staff was also helpful in carrying my suitcase up to the room and helping me find a taxi. I was very happy with my choice of Riad Dar Alkatib.

Charming owner who cooked delicious food for us. The riad is clean ... not as beautiful as some but a fabulous historic building. The owner was very understanding when we moved on a day early. Thank you.
Our double bed was two singles with foam and fabric stuffed in the gap. No mattress topper. The bedding itself was rough and the mattresses needed replacing. I was surprised that the room wasn't refreshed and made up despite us being out for 5 hours or so. The location just wasn't for us, in a less charming part of the medina.

A lovely authentic Riad. Nicely restored building that was a writer’s office and home in the era that public scribes played a key role in Moroccan life. Charming, attentive and receptive hostess. Right in the heart of the Meknes Medina.
A perfect stay but, for first time visitors to Meknes, it’s probably worth noting that the location is off the main passageway of the souk, so finding it requires care, especially after dark.

Really enjoyed our stay here! It's a beautiful riad in a great location, from which you can easily explore Meknes, or get yourself lost in the streets of Medina. The couple running the riad is absolutely lovely and very helpful, they gave us good tips on the trip and generally we enjoyed talking to them learning about Meknes and Morocco. Can definitely recommend the stay here.

The old Riad originally from the late 1600’s has been lovingly renovated. We had a wonderful stay and felt like family. Food was delicious and we chose to eat dinner at the Riad each night.
Nothing they were perfect

The room was extremely spacious and beautifully decorated
The bed was a bit harder than I'm used to but this seems standard practise in Morocco
