Loved our stay!

The cottage is neat and clean with plenty of room for our family of 5. Location is excellent just across from the community pool and dock. Very peaceful and quiet, and we would choose this cottage again.

The property was perfect for our family. Our big kids (3 and 6) loved the bunk room. And the master was big enough for us to comfortably fit a pack n play for our 4 month old. It was so nice to have the extra twin rooms as a defacto playroom. And we loved using the air conditioned sun room as our go to hang out spot after the kids went to sleep. Easy access to the pool area and dock we’re a great way to break up the day when we weren’t at the beach. Even with the kids, it wasn’t a bad walk to the beach. All in all, we loved our stay and would highly recommend the property to anyone looking for easy access to all that Kiawah offers.

Inlet Cove is a beautiful venue. Number 24 is near the pool and dock and a short uncrowded walk to the beach. The latest redo of the interior is clean, comfortable and airy.

This was a great property! Everything from making and then adjusting our reservation, to finding the house, to checkin, to check out was easy. Location was convenient and we enjoyed the bike rentals that came with the reservation. Will plan to stay again when we visit Kiawah!

Reviewer Comments:
The storm door on the front door needs fixed / replaced as it does not close properly. Also, the dock access code never worked. The neighborhood access code also was changed during our stay and we had to call to get the new code. Ideally, that would be shared ahead of time instead of while you are stuck at the gate. Otherwise, great house, great location. Check-in/out was perfect.

Our trip was just what our family needed. Very enjoyable. House was clean and comfy. Kitchen was well stocked, however it needed a cutting board or two. Would rent this unit again.

We have stayed in many homes thru Aikers Ellis and this was definitely our least favorite stay. The house upon entering wasn’t cleaned (stray hairs and debris in my daughters bed sheets), the ac system made a strange noise in the master bedroom, the washer had mold in the seal of the front loader and the dryer wasn’t very efficient. We had house cleaning and maintenance come to the unit. I asked to please move units however they were fully committed over the holiday weekend. This stay wasn’t up to par with what we’ve come to expect with Aikers Ellis. I’m hoping our next stay will be better.

Well equipped property with community pool and dock nearby. One of bedrooms had bunk beds, not shown in pictures. Had issue with A/C and management company response was swift and professional, fixed within two hours. Have rented on Kiawah several times , would stay here again.

After an 8 hour drive to Kiawah we were unable to check in at 4:45PM. We decided to run to Charleston to get supplies for the week. We got back late and instead of an apology we got an email stating a bike under the house behind the stairs could be seen from the road. The bed in the Master bedroom is a bit tall, bring steps.

Nicely equipped, and we loved that we didn't have to go through the main security gate, so location was perfect.

Reviewer Comments:
Inlet Cove vacation rental was nice but I was disappointed at the distance to the beach. It is exactly half a mile from the rental property door to the beach. There isn’t much of an outdoor seating area or a view. It is close to the pool and to the inlet where you can watch the sunset. Two of the rooms have beds that are extremely high. Overall the property was ok.

24 Inlet Cove is in a great location with a pool and dock across the street. The cottage was clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. The king and queen beds were unusually high and not easy to climb onto or off of even for my husband. I found a stool to use. The storm door caused problems especially moving in and out as it would not hold and kept slamming into us causing some minor hits. The road traffic from behind the cottage was new to us from previous years at Inlet Cove especially at night and early morning. Kiawah has always been our go-to beach vacation. We would recommend the location with a warning of the high beds and traffic.

This was the most effortless vacation I can remember. Even the grill had a backup tank in case the one we were using ran out. The beach gear credit was a fantastic bonus. It would be great to let renters know when the pool opens.

We just returned from our stay in the cottage and overall we had a satisfactory experience. Check in and out were a breeze and our bikes and surfboard that we rented with our credit was waiting for us when we arrived. Positives of our stay: 1) The cottage is in a small neighborhood with dock access to the Kiawah River, which made fishing access very easy. 2) It was nice to have a neighborhood pool (although it was mostly closed due to the coronavirus) 3) The cottage has some recent updates in the master bedroom and bath, and also in the kitchen. 4) The house is well located to leave Kiawah for restaurants, to visit Charleston, and to go to the local shopping center. With other properties you could be driving for 15 minutes while still on Kiawah. Negatives: 1) The house needs some care in terms of additional updates and also repairs and maintenance. The master bath, although recently renovated, had malfunctioning lights in the toilet and shower area so you couldn't really see. The pocket door between the master bedroom and bath was obviously broken, with rollers left on the floor of the bathroom. 2) Some furniture such as the sofas in living room and dining room and kitchen tables are well worn. There's an armoire in the living room dating from the era of the 100 lb TV set (although all TVs were modern albeit small). The rest of the house needs a refresh like the kitchen, and master bed/bath received. Mixed- 1) The property manager was proactive in communication before the stay and initially responsive to our maintenance requests, but there wasn't enough follow through. In the end, we were left with a bathroom door that didn't work and showering in the dark. I should note that they offered a $300 credit because there was no pool access for renters, which was a nice gesture. If additional improvements to the house and furniture were made, and the maintenance

We stayed here in late June when SC started seeing spikes in Covid cases in Charleston. We were able to go to the beach safely using the Duneside entrance (using bikes and just as close as the State Park) b/c Beachcomber's State Park was too busy. We were for the most part easily 50 feet from other beach goers and people maintained distances and stayed in their family groups. We kayaked on the Kiawah River, the ocean (easy to carry over to dock b/c of proximity of villa), biked all over Kiawah and I was forced to run with my 11 year old training for cross country. We definitely made this an outdoor vacation enjoying the beauty of Kiawah. We chose this villa b/c it was so close to the pool and the dock; we have stayed at Inlet Cove many times b/c of the river. Unfortunately, the pool was only open to owners only not "guests" which was a bit embarrassing when we showed up in our swimsuits. We had not been informed and it seemed a bit of an exclusive move by the Kiawah property owners (no surprise there). IMHO, it would have been better to limit the number of people in the pool and use appropriate CDC precautions to insure safety. It was definitely a disappointment. However, the the property manager was understanding and offered a partial refund for this communication error. The Kiawah nature center was closed for Covid. Villa: Beds were comfortable and the enclosed summer room was a plus for a family of six. There was plenty of places for us all to sit and chill. The villa was stocked with extra TP, dish soap, sponges and kitchen towels... and the utensils, pots and pans were typical rental fare. We were able to go out to eat (outdoors) and felt that our food was safely delivered although we took extra precautions than most. 13 days out and we are well, thankfully. BTW VakyGear delivered us 2 bikes, 5 chairs and a cart. The cart was easily packed with chairs, our beach towels, drinks, etc but remember to bring some bungie cords to keep things in place.

This place was exactly as the sign stated "Tranquility". We had a wonderful time visiting the beach, spending time at the pool, and resting peacefully in very comfortable beds.

We have vacationed on Kiawah and stayed in a variety of cottages in Inlet Cove, This cottage was one of the best supplied and cleanest that we have ever rented. It's location near the pool and dock was also perfect for our family. Working with Akers Ellis was seamless and everything was easily accessed through their app.
