We absolutely loved this cabin. Was clean enough to let my babies crawl all over the place. It is close to the attractions. It looks exactly like the pictures and it is GORGEOUS! We felt like home.

Quiet retreat
We had a wonderful relaxing visit. Beautiful cabin, close to everything, but up the mountain just enough to have privacy. The neighbor's dog Annie was a sweet welcoming committee and saw us off as well. We will definitely be booking again!

The cabin is absolutely beautiful the only thing I noticed it still had the same carpet from when I stayed in 2014 it's pretty rough. That said I'd still stay there it's beautiful cabin.

Good overall
Could be a little cleaner but overall it was a great time.

Very nice Cabin
The cabin itself was very nice. The downstairs was such a bonus for us as well. We left a day earlier and tried to get a refund on our day but they said no which was upsetting. The driveway was very nerve wracking and scary to drive on. Overall though it was a nice stay.

A true stay at Peak Relaxation Cabin
My family and I visit the Blowing Rock, Boone, and Banner Elk area every year. We have stayed in many cabins that vary in size and scenic views. I'll start by saying the view of the mountains is beautiful however, the house is located in a permanent resident neighborhood that has many roaming LARGE breed dogs. There will be no hiking or exploring. The house was furnished nicely and had all the essentials that we needed. I know it listed no A/C but I didnt think it would be that stuffy in the bedrooms, there is absolutely NO air flow throughout. The down stairs has a smell that makes it intolerable to stay down there even with the doors open and a candle. Also while sitting on the front porch you smell a slight sewage smell. Overall my family and I had a good time just had to remain a bit more optimistic.

Old but doable.
This was not our original destination, and was offered this cabin after our original cabin was found not cleaned and disgusting. This was a much older cabin, but at least it was clean. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed the downstairs. Shower in master was extremely small and hard to turn around in. Fire pit right in the middle of the parky area was less than desirable. But, we were on the go quite a bit and it did just fine for the remainder of our stay. Again, it was very clean, just older if you are ok with that.

Wonderful Experience
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Peak Relaxation. Clean, comfortable and way to access.

The staff was amazing assisting us with our issues with the cabin. I rented the cabin because of the name. Relaxation! The first day we arrived, we turned on the heat and for some reason the main room just wouldn't heat up. We figured because of all the windows in the room it would take sometime to adjust. The bedrooms did come with electronic fireplaces so it didn't bother us as much. The same night we could not get the cable to work. On the screen it asks for a specific code that we did not have access to. Although the owner left a very detailed manual, nowhere did it include a code. We turned the box(es) on and off, unplugged them, and even called both the front office and the cable company. The internet worked fine (only in the main room), and we were able to use a firestick that we packed. We had to wait on a response from the owner. Later that night, we realized that the water simply would not get hot. We had already had a tech scheduled to come out for the cable so the office put in another ticket for someone to show within the hour. When the tech arrived he was not able to fix the cable, but he was able to fix the water issue after some guidance from his manager. We did not mention the heat because we figured we would be able to stream from the bedroom. We were wrong. We bundled up on the couch and watched our firestick until we went to master bedroom with the fireplace. On the 2nd day, we woke up extremely cold. Even with the fireplace on. I placed my hand over the vent and realized the the heat was really broken and that cool air was blowing. I called the front office and they put in a ticket. We went out and got firedwood just in case it would not be fixed. The front office did let us know that they did not hear from the owner for the cable. While we were out, the office called back and told us the owner to unplug the box and plug it back in. (Considering I worked for comcast for 4 years, the troubleshooting was way off from what the cable company mentioned as to the reason why the cable was REALLY off. Anywho, when we returned back to the cabin, we did as we were instructed again, and this time the "code" screen disappeared, but the boxes wouldn't connect. The 2nd tech showed for heat and mentioned he had a little insight on cable. He changed an hdmi cord and it worked..JUST IN TIME FOR US TO WATCH THE REST OF THE GEORGIA GAME! He also explained why the heat didn't work and was able to repair it. Later that night, I took a hot shower, and noticed that the water was turning a little warm. I figured it was because I used all the hot water. I instructed my boyfriend to give it about an hour and then shower so that we could eat together. After a while, my boyfriend gets in the shower, and get out extremely upset. He mentioned that he had to take a cold shower and that the hot water went out...again. at this time it was 1145 at night. He told me not to bother calling tonight and to wait in the morning. In the morning, I made the call again, and the tech showed. He reset the hot water heater i believe which we had no problem doing ourselves however the door is locked. We had things planned around the town and I really reschedule a few just in case we would need a tech to come out within hours of operation. Although the cabin was nice and clean (few cobwebs) the constant maintenance issues killed my relaxation mood. It was my birthday. All appliances were up to date, as well as the televisions. Plenty of room. And easy to locate. I did receive a partial refund, but considering that my birthday was plague with problem after problem is the real rant. I rather pay full price and enjoy making memories then trying to put out fires left and right. Early Monday morning...we left...and yes the hot water was out again.

The television in the master bedroom never would work it just kept loading the entire time. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. Did not like the setting of the cabin itself and next trip I will look for something less worrisome getting into and out of.

Great location! Beautiful views of Grandfather. Loved the downstairs for the kids to have their own space. Easily fit all 10 of us without feeling crowded.

Beautiful House and great location.
The house is beautiful and has an amazing view of grandfather mountain. The great room Is nice with large couches and chairs to relax. The fireplace and lighting made this room beyond stunning. The kitchen worked well and provided all utensils needed. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. My complaints are that the basement where the pool table is and We couldn't utilize this space due to the heavy mildew sewage smell. The gutters and decks were full of leaves that had to be swept off when we got there and a breeze of septic or sewage would come by at some points. Also the front lock would get stuck trying to open it. But we really enjoyed this space. Thank you.

Close to everything
This cabin was very easy to find right off of route 105. Wonderful view of Grandfather Mountain right from your front porch. We enjoyed our morning coffee in 58 degrees on the front porch with the visiting hummingbirds. Cabin had a great area in the basement for our teenage boys to hang and play pool. Close to Banner Elk, Boone, Linville Falls, and Grandfather Mountain. We had trouble a few days with the electronic lock on the door could not lock or unlock door several times from outside when we left and returned to the cabin. We reported he problem to management and they sent someone out. Hopefully they will replace the whole lock and maybe in the future leave a regular key for a back up accessible without contacting management. I also would recommend an central AC unit to be installed to take care of the moister that was felt and smelled in the cabin. Wasn't major, but noticeable (damprid jars all throughout the cabin.)
Manager took very good care of us once they learned of our concerns.
Our family had a great time at this cabin. Impressive huge family room for la large family.

Great location! Close to hiking, waterfalls and a grocery store. Cabin was clean and comfortable, the dining room and livingroom were great for family bonding and darts and the pool table kept everyone entertained. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome Cabin
We really enjoyed the cabin Peak Relaxation. The home was very clean when we arrived there. Wish the sun would have been out a little more so we could enjoy the outdoors a little more. No matter what we enjoyed our stay and will try to book that place again. Another downfall with the rain it made it pretty difficult to get up and down the driveway with all the washouts.

Decent place and great location
This property was very convenient to Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk, and other amenities. The house was overall a pretty good house. Very steep driveway, which wasn't a major issue in 2WD in rain, but would be very hard to climb in icy or snowy conditions. Good value for price paid.

We were very pleased with the property. Very spacious very well decorated almost everything there that we needed. There's also a wonderful location close to everything we needed to do and wanted to do. Suggestion: 1 nightlight in main bath (so you dont have to leave light on all night) 2) provide dish detergent so visitors can keep surfaces clean and wash pots as requested 3) finish painting n make minor repairs (fix knob on closet door, hands on kitchen clock n fireplace clock, broken wooden footrest on deck, remove or repair wall heater master bath near shower, label heater master bath at entry switch with its function, paint water stains on bedroom ceiling, remove upholstery nail back of couch toward deck as it sliced open my grandsons hand, dust under couches, replace burned out light bulbs (sorry for episle...i am a property manager myself). LOVED the property
