Hammerlage- unbedingt „geheime“ Pfade erkunden - 2ha Grundstück - sehr persönlicher Kontakt (vor Anreise WhatsApp Kontakt durch Eigentümerin) - freundliches familiäres Personal - neu renovierte Zimmer. Es ist unbedingt zu empfehlen !!!

The location was spectacular
The road driving up

Close to some of the sights.
Smaller room, shower awkward to use.

Ihastuttava paikka, erittäin ystävällinen vastaanotto ja avulias palvelu :)

Breakfast was excellent as were evening meals, Clean comfortable with plenty of both indoor and outdoor space to sit and relax. The hotel has very high standards.
Not a problem for us as we were aware of this and walk a lot but the hotel is outside Sintra on a quite a steep hill. Be prepared to either walk or get a taxi from Sintra.

Serene & comfortable, amazing pool and sneak peak of Peña Palace. And of course super Armie who works so hard to please everyone! Amazing woman & chef - so give her a pay rise - she is the treasure in this beautiful manor.
It’s a nature walk down to town so if a woman travelling solo, like me, don’t get freaked out. Best to book dinner at the house rather than traipse up in the dark.
4.7
Outstanding location in the hills of Sintra, incredible views. The property is run by Armie, who is an incredibly warm and lovely host. She was communicative on WhatsApp before our stay, answering all of our questions quickly. She was so warm and friendly throughout our stay - she made us feel so welcome.
The pool is small, but lovely to cool off when the weather is hot (which it was). The property is high in the hills, so you have an incredible view.
Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean.
The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. A standard continental.
4.7
The food, the scenery in the farm and the team were incredible.

Very tranquil and calming. Beautiful house with use of lovely lounge. Tea facilities available at any time and afternoon cake. Good breakfast with very fresh food. Wonderful pool and patio with the most beautiful view. There is a walking trail in to town that takes about 10. What made the place extra extra special was Armie the host and chef. She looked after us very well and cooked a very tasty 3 course evening meal. Thank you again Armie x
Nothing not to like although if you can’t walk far you will need to get a taxi Uber in to town.
4.7
Friendly Armie, good parking and comfy clean room.
4.7
Very welcoming host. Makes you feel welcome as soon as you arrive.
The entrance of the property is not easy to find.

Armie, the host, made this place go from great to excellent - she goes above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble. Great location and lovely place.

Beautiful location, excellent staff, amazing views. The location is towards the top of a very large hill near Pena Palace above Sintra and offers amazing views down to the ocean and up to the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace. It is peaceful and very relaxing yet only 5-10 mins drive from the local attractions and the historic part of Sintra. The staff is exceedingly welcoming and friendly, giving each new visitor a tour of the buildings, gardens and pool area. Breakfast is amazing. We were sad to only stay for two nights.
Nothing! It is worth noting that the location is towards the top of a pretty steep and winding road, and the parking is a 2 minute walk through the gardens to get to the main building so people who are nervous drivers or have limited mobility should plan ahead.

Quiet, comfortable, clean, spacious
Walking into town can be a bit far and finding transportation for hire after 5 or 6pm can be difficult.
4.7
Amazing experience. Armie was such a lovely person to meet. Took very good care of us. The garden is also something to see.

We loved everything about the room, location and staff. Armie was Amazing !!!

Beautiful property in Sintra, everything was amazing! Special thanks to Armie who made our stay really fantastic… it wasn’t the same without you! <3

The hotel is in a very attractive renovated building with large wooded grounds. The renovations have been done to a high standard. At night the hotel was extremely quiet.

the property is beautiful and set in a perfect location surrounded by gardens and the woods

GORGEOUS property in the hills of Sintra. you really can’t beat this location or the views from the villa. we stayed for my wedding and had the best time.
it isn’t the easiest to get to by taxi or Uber

We absolutely loved the location. It’s a huge forrest with a house in it. Beautiful, fresh air, birds. The pool is amazing. We loved Armi, she cooked for us and it was delicious. She was so nice and always there for us.
Our room was near the kitchen and we didn’t have a clasic door but a sliding one. We couldn’t rest in the morning because it was so noisy. That was a big thumbs down for us since we came to rest and we are late morning people.
4.7
Breakfast was amazing and given with a smile every morning. The location and property grounds we beautiful. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable
I am not sure what I however this property exceeded any I may have had
Beautiful
Trying to navigate to the area was the only challenge with property however the staff was available to help

Eighteen Houses is charming and the grounds are amazing. The staff were friendly and accessible, especially Armie who is exceptional in hospitality and culinary skills. We loved watching the sunset, being able to have dinner on location. It’s obvious much pride and hard work has gone into creating a magical place to experience Sintra.
We enjoyed meeting Luca the dog and did not find her to be scary at all. She is protective of the property but is curious and open to meeting guests.
Our bathroom door wouldn’t close but it didn’t really detract from our enjoyment of our stay. I tried to get air conditioning to help me sleep better but it had not been turned on yet for the season.

Evrything was perfect

Armie and the other staff made my trip truly unforgettable. I came to the hotel alone, and felt the most safe and cared for than anywhere I've ever been. Everything from the beauty, peacefulness of the property, to the care and kindness of the staff makes you feel like you're joining a family there and being so well taken ever of. The pool is basically your own infinity pool with views of Sintra mountains and feels like a 5 star resort. I loved my time and will be back! PS - The dog Leka on the property is amazing and will make you feel right at home.
Nothing!

it was just superb!!! We were extremely well received by Mrs Mara, Miss Armie and Miss Melanie on our arrival as well as by the lovely dog Leka who my autistic daughter fell in love with. we felt like we had been invited to spend some time with very close friends. The team was always ready to help us and make us feel at home.
The property is just amazing! it was hard to leave, especially for my daughter. Everything is so well maintained.
