A sublime retreat, post-Christmas as well as before and after a friend's wedding.

The Westin Perth is a beautiful luxury hotel located within Perth's historic quarter and the former Hibernian Hall. Various bars and restaurants (Goody Two's, Hidaqa and Pictada) are a short stroll across the leafy courtyard which is a wonderful inner city retreat especially in the height of Summer. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by all staff from the valets within the grand and cavernous entrance, reception staff with the hotel's lobby/check-in and later within Haven Lounge for a late dinner and the following mornings within Garum for breakfast and at such a busy time of year (immediately after Christmas Day). The hotel rooms, pool, spa, gym, Haven and Garum are all inviting places to wile away your time - whether for an hour or days. I cannot wait to return.

Due to the time of year, the breakfast was very busy. We had hoped to dine at Garum for dinner, yet it was closed (December 26), and the following evening we had a wedding to attend. We look forward to returning.

Good but need to check the bathroom shower and hot water

Room is at my expectation for the rate you pay over $400 pn. The electric blind and electric curtain is nice but unable to stop half way - either all way closed or all the way open.

The mobile shower head did not work at all, no water coming out. The rain shower head work but each time you turn on the hot water in the rain shower or in the face basin you get a very loud sound. Not good for an up market hotel.

I would like my money back please

I was charged twice for my stay. Once by booking. Com and once by westin. Westin staff were very rude and weren't helpful and said deal with it by contacting booking. Com. The staff member I spoke to was a lady at reception I spoke to at 5:55pm AEDT on 6 Dec 2024

Extra avocado cost 9 usd Many issues in the room, room service forgetting daily the same Shower door collision with glass Pipes make huge noise

Best hotel in Perth

lovely hotel with good size rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast is good and the beds were comfortable. Gym was excellent one of the best hotel gyms I have seen.

The pool wasn't very big for the size of the hotel.

Great room and view just bad communication for the staff.

Good views Nice room

Pre paid for the property the night before, room wasn't ready when we checked in late. Was busy so we sat down and ordered drinks while waiting. Had someone bring our room key to us, then had reception call me saying our room key was ready at reception desk. Bad communication? Also 1 hour into being in the room we had someone come in/while we were dressing and leave complimentary snacks with the name of someone else who wasn't even in the room. Used complimentary drink coupons when ordered room service and still got charged for the drinks.

Great food and location. Great rooms especially those from the upper floors. Great value for money using club room option as it gives you access to the lounge which serves great snacks and evening meals.

LOVED the breakfast location and buffet. amazing selection. Gorgeous, friendly staff. We were treated to free fireworks before dinner!

We booked a King Club it was spacious and light, but the floor was scratched up and the duvet cover was ratty. Not what I would expect from 5 star premises.

Lovely accomodation great breakfast

A bit frustrating we couldn’t be accommodated for some scones at morning tea. The response was they had only baked enough for high tea reservations even though we requested a booking the day prior.

Great place to stay - overall a 9!

We loved the location. Also we were on the 28th floor which had amazing views of the city. Access to the club lounge area was a bonus.

My only negative comment is that the room wasn’t cleaned until I requested it after 2.30pm, and even then, the tea/coffee etc wasn’t restocked. The front desk said they have so many rooms to clean, it is often late. That doesn’t sound good enough - maybe employ more people?

Initial impressions on arrival were good

Must have blankets available. Doonas not suitable for Oz climate as 3 couples of our party concurred, No blankets available on request unacceptable. Coffee pods not replaced, milk not replenished, towels didn’t match, poor quality, 1 teabag only

Had a relaxing enjoyable stay in a room full of light.

Was pleasantly surprised when my room was available when I checked in early at mid day. The room was on the 20th floor and had nice city views, The room was very spacious, nicely furnished and clean. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The room temperature control worked. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, as well as a mini fridge. The gym had a couple of treadmills and bikes and weights, with towels and water. The reception staff and a manager I interacted with were all very friendly, efficient and helpful. Highly recommended.

The spa is great.

Bathroom not clean, stains on curtains. Staff not very interested and poor closed loop feedback. Did not feel very valued or welcome as a guest. Poor veg and non veg separation at Garum, not amenable to food requests.

Good location, clean, and the room was made available earlier than the suggested check in time. Staff were helpful and efficient.

Relaxing city getaway

Clean, functional room on upper floor. Lovely view from the large windows. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and efficient use of space. Staff were attentive and helpful. Drinks & canapes as part of club lounge package were excellent and nice way to begin the evening. Wedding anniversary night was noted and attended to with extras in room.

Fridge was small (standard issue for hotels) and needed emptying to put our own stuff in, but minor issue.
